  1. It's true, its more likely he would have been executed in front of everyone. I think its poor critique to try and compare their situation to some sort of modern day Western leadership doctrine. I'm just not so sure why how things may or may not work on this day in history is the apt comparison
  2. Easily top 3 SW movie ever and arguably the best. You are no movie critic so please stop pretending to be one.
  3. For some reason, this is something that many MMO designers don't want people to be able to do easily. It wasn't that long ago where it wasn't something most designers wanted at all
  4. You assume this is a break even proposition and it is a flawed thesis. This may be why people aren't agreeing with you. Doing as you suggest would not make things more fun or interesting and it would throw off the entire balance of DCDs. Seems to me like looking for a problem that doesn't exist
  5. I agree and while I don't think its up to the player to really care about all of that, I do think that if you care about the game enough to write a novel full of suggestions then some of that creativity should be directed at ideas that reflect the current realities.
  6. My understanding is that this is all they would have to do. Every country has a different idea of what defines gambling and that's fine so arguing about it here is kinda meaningless as everybody is more or less correct no matter what side of the coin they land on. Adding some sort of hard guarantee to the loot boxes would side step most legal arguments and add some consistent value to loot boxes which is a win for those that enjoy buying them now On the flip side, adding in-game gear currency to the boxes shifts them to pay to win boxes
  7. Never liked him so I hope we get to stick a saber in his gut. I hope having a major character turn traitor is a tool to advance a major storyline because this would be pretty silly if it were just filler.
  8. When they complete the transition out of the alliance story line and back into normal Sith/Jedi faction warfare, there could be a window to add a new class that starts their story at that point. They don't have to go back and try to shoehorn it into the original story. Precedence for this has already been long established. If resources are slim they could even start the class in a neutral faction (like the Hutt Cartel or something new) and have the player choose their faction after a bit of story. Precedence for that has been long established too in other games and would save them the need to double voice actors and graphic work within the mirror class system.
  9. You don't have to have 10 million paying subs to be able to put out content. This game has enough paying players to be able to do better than it has done. The issue is with game direction and the internal messes that seem to envelop all EA studios
  10. My understanding is that video game ratings do not take into account online interactions and I believe there is usually some sort of disclaimer that states that Edit to post this right from the ESRB: "Online Interactions Not Rated by the ESRB" - Warns those who intend to play the game online about possible exposure to chat (text, audio, video) or other types of user-generated content (e.g., maps, skins) that have not been considered in the ESRB rating assignment.
  11. There always seems to be this underlying idea that Jedi and Sith were super heroes that nobody could touch and for the most part that always was completely untrue. There are a handful of force users that get strong enough to be virtually untouchable and there are definitely non-force users who specialise in killing them.
  12. I don't blame them for wanting to have some time to analyse server pop statistics before opening up the flood gates. There is potential of transfers causing major disruptions during a sensitive time right after merger. It's annoying but it does make sense. Hopefully it wont be much longer
  13. I cannot believe this random ongoing gen chat debate made it to the forums. /facepalm
  14. I didn't lose any. The one complaint I kept hearing in game were ppl who lost their mains name to some alt they forgot they had.
  15. Its cheaper than going after all of the upstart fan servers. We'll see how it works out. I imagine it wont be exactly like vanilla so it'll let down the nostalgia buffs and it'll also remind people exactly why there were so many changes going into the Burning Crusade. I imagine it'll get a luke warm reception but who knows
