  1. I don't care if a level 10 nub looks the same as a level 55 end-game raider, so the subtle differences in cosmetics between the CM and in-game items don't effect me.
  2. First of all, I don't believe we'll be seeing explicit gay sex. Second... Is there something about the Star Wars setting that is inappropriate for SGR? Star Wars has not shied away from romance in general. It seems plausible that with an expanded fictional universe with presumably more humans and aliens, there would be more instances of SGR in the Star Wars Universe than there are on Earth. Heck, since the universe is fictional, it's even easier to stick your head in the sand and tell children these types of things only happen in fiction (of course that would not be true). Would you be cool with inter-species romance? Is this trolling or homophobia? I don't get nervous with the thought of explaining SGR to my children.
  3. I don't think it's a myth that other games (especially WoW) had faction population imbalances that skewed "good". In this game specifically, I think people are drawn to the Empire because it was initially more mysterious and similarly the dark side of the force is more mysterious than the light side. However, after playing 7.5 class story lines and all planet storylines, I would say there is not a significant difference in story quality between the two sides.
  4. I'm not for wasting resources on this. The option's already there to equip lesser gear.
  5. I would like this too. I would like a gear check, but would rather have the Ops added first.
  6. I always use Padawan or Apprentice because I like the irony of a level 50 using them.
  7. Well, you're certainly tough on internet aren't you? What you are clearly complaining about is consistancy. You think you've murdered all these people, and been rewarded which is not consistent.... But, the consular story does not describe the killing of the masters as out-right murder - that's a lable you envisioned for yourself. As the other poster pointed out, the story presents this as eliminating a threat to the Jedi as you saw fit. Disrespecting everybody is generally presented in polite terms and not inconsistent with a Jedi Master. So while you may have envisioned your character as a cold blooded killer, the story presents your motivations in a more logical way to maintain consistency. You've protected the Jedi from a signifcant threat of plague and been awarded the title protector - that is consistent. You can complain that the story does not provide an option to play a cold-blooded killer Jedi but that's really a design decision and not a writing decision. The writing itself is consistent. In fact, if you play the story with anything other than an internalized cold-blooded killer mentality, the story makes perfect sense.
  8. I couldn't disagree more. BH story is the worst of the 6 I've played and not better than the 7th I'm more than halfway through (trooper is the only story not played yet). Here's my counter critique: Prelude and Act 1: Act 2: Act 3: I guess overall, the BH was potrayed only as a mandelorian hitman and I don't feel that's entirely accurate. Further, the bounties are never adequately explained - simply go here and kill so&so. It would have been much better if each bounty had a back story. On the plus side, the BH could easily thumb their nose at the Empire with no conflict of interest, I loved the gameplay (powertech pyro), and they do probably have the best VO.
  9. Seems simple enough to me. I agree with the OP - create a new tionese-level armoring (I'd argue for columi and rakata too) with the set bonus attached to it that you can buy at 50. You get the set bonus and the look you want. Win/win! Mabye this belongs in the suggestion forum though.
  10. I'm in 1600x1200 currently. What resolution do I need to have a non-sticky post load on initial page load without scrolling (as is the current case)? I agree, too many stickies.
  11. Not a fan of the bounty hunter color scheme, but my main gripe is the IA armor. I feel like the agent is presented as spy-type character and I don't think any of the agent sets present them as such. The IA in the screenshot further does not look like a spy and almost looks like low-level trooper armor. The SI and warrior armor are fine with me.
  12. I'd like to see/do these two operations, and I've got several characters that have mostly full Columi. I know this isn't top tier by any stretch, but it's the best that drops from group finder (except the rakata chest from LI), and I'd rather play alts than grind BH comms. Anyway, I think the group finder has been great for all the FPs available, and I'd like to see more. PS - I know I can join a guild or wait in fleet for a PUG. I'd rather play alts.
  13. I want to counter your point with an extreme example. I was recently in a GF raid with 7 Sith Inquisitors (myself the only non-SI: maurader). Had multiple people not earned the buffs through legacy, we would not have had them. Did we need all the buffs to get through a SM raid? I don't know. The raid did have several wipes for multiple reasons, but eventually pulled it out. Anyway, I'm against buying class buffs, but I'm also against buying species unlock which is already there. I guess I'm against buying something that can be acheived through simply leveling 1-50 (or in this case 1-~40).
  14. I don't really understand what type of robes the OP and others want. I got several "basic" robes while questing on my Jedi Guardian - one of the most basic being the first orange one I got on Coruscant via some heroic mission which I wore from ~12-50. It was similar to this: http://www.torhead.com/item/3w4dHYC/peacekeepers-chestguard That strikes me as pretty basic/standard and I got several variations in color on this one via leveling. The only problem was I couldn't put the hood down, which I would've really liked to be able to do.
  15. Got to second page -was desperate to add my perhaps redundant input: Missing jumps is annoying, but not as annoying as waiting for a slow moving crane, lift, or balloon to retry them.
  16. There are quests/ops to obtain some items not available in the CM (HK, Rakata/BH/etc). They can't build a story for every new piece or armor at the rate they are adding them to the CM. And one could even argue they did build a questline for Revan's armor: KOTOR. If you haven't played through KOTOR, the significance of Revan diminishes. I think it was smart to sell Revan's armor in the CM and not make it some hard to obtain piece. Making it hard could alienates fans of KOTOR who are not MMO gaming gods. Too much is being made of uniqueness. Something may start out as unique, but eventually more and more people get it to the point it's not all that great, so simply intoducing it to everyone at the beginning is fine with me. In the case of Revan's armor, I suspect a lot of people would want it and a lot of people would get it, so again, not that exciting. There are still plenty of quests in the game.
  17. wrt tionese-rakata, I actually like the full Bounty Hunter gear best even with headslot (both styles). I don't mind the "wings" on the inquisitor gear either (the sorceror head gear is kinda neat in an evil puppet kind of way). I think the Jedi Knight minus helm, Trooper, and Smuggler gear is acceptable/nice too. I can see not liking any of it, but I do in the above cases. I'm not a fan of Consulars (helm + arm pads + overall blandness), Imperial Agents (helm plus weird flaps and pattern), or Sith Warriors (turns you into a cyborg with feet claws like it or not). I'm currently especially annoyed with the Sith Warrior armor on my marauder. Even if you hide head slot, a hood that I don't like appears. I'm working towards replacing the chest with BH-level gear ASAP to eliminate this problem.
  18. I don't really understand the original post. Is the fleet not aesthetically pleasing enough? In that respect, I agree. It could be gussied up a bit. I don't agree that a centralized location where you can accomplish many end game tasks (FP, GTN, gear upgrade, crafting) is bad. Also, some people in this thread seem to be calling for Star Wars casino style games to be added. This really confuses me. It's like asking for a functional RTS or FPS sidegame. Why would you need this? The core gameplay is space-adventure themed RPG. People seem to feel obligated for more to do different from the established core gameplay. If I wanted an online card game, I would buy an online card game. If you want mini-games, fire up your smartphone/tablet. It's ok if you're not doing it within SWTOR. For me, all they need to do is make sure there are sufficient end-game FP and OPs available through the group finder and I'm happy.
  19. I can't believe your character is so far out of wack that he/she can't be fixed because nothing is permanent - talents can be reset and reassigned, crew skills can be changed. At 46 I would just finish up to 50 including your class quests. If you and your companion are in semi-level appropriate gear, you should be ok. I will say as ranged dps, I prefer tank companions to distract mobs and prevent ability push-back/interruption.
  20. They could add a decent amount of end game content if they: 1) Add 1-3 new FPs (SM & HM) 2) Make level appropriate tier HM FP for Athiss, Mando Raiders, Colicoid War Games 3) Add level appropriate comm reward to SM EC & TfB so people do them 4) Add a new level appropriate Operation That might get us started.
  21. It can be impossible to PUG if people just don't do it right. Starting out with the group finder is difficult because you don't know whos' screwing up and may assume it's you since you haven't done it before. I felt that way a couple times, but after reconsideration (and a few successful attempts), I realized other members of the group were screwing worse than me. I've healed it in mostly columi, but bought rakata implants off the GTN, and the BH belt. On the other hand, my weapon and bracer were recruit gear.
  22. All for this. Although, fortunately, I have not been a victim of the behavior described yet.
  23. I second this recommendation. There are several pages of preferences and I don't remember where every option is.
  24. I just did this. I'm pretty sure there are rewards - one of the following: a commendation, a green equipment lockbox, or a level 46 mod.
  25. I think this issue is being overblown. I think this is only an problem for Taral 5 (republic only) and Battle for Ilum where you end up skipping more bosses than fighting. You can skip one boss in Directive 7 (but you still have to kill 4 others). Are you including bonus mission bosses, because no one wants to do those. So maybe Taral 5 and Ilum need to be tweaked, but I can't think of any other major offender. Also, I don't consider sub-bosses to be a reliable way to gear up. The loot table seems to contain every possible class/spec so getting the drop for your class/spec is a crap-shoot. Fast FPs get you faster commendations that you can turn in for the gear you want. I've suggested being able to do the daily dropbox quest multiple times a day but only 7 times a week, so you can maximize your FP time when queues are fast. This would allow you to get coms faster and gear up faster.
