  1. I hope this isn't true, as I've found the armor that i like the appearance of is generally lower leveled simpler looking stuff(I'm not a WoW shoulderpad guy)
  2. Hey a mandalorian/hutt alliance could create an odd neutral faction?
  3. Challenge accepted Hopefully knowing what wookie life day is won't give me away lol
  4. Uhmm, kind of? I'm a completionist so I had to unlock every zone on all my leveling planets and I still only had a handful of run in's with the other faction. Maybe if there where not level requirements on speeders(seriously some of those level one speeder chases reminded me of the car chase from hot fuzz)
  5. Who isn't laying off nowaday's? Edit-apparently the unemployment office hasn't laid anyone off in 7 years. Wonder why they are so busy...
  6. Can I borrow your rose tinted glasses for this weekend, I'm going to the bar and I want to take home a fake ten. Seriously, SWG died 6 months after launch when its subs dropped from 1 mill plus to 200k, they reacted(badly in my opinion) and really kicked up the fail with more epic nge fail, but it was a failed mmo period. Don't get me wrong lol, I'm a fail, and played it and loved it for 4 years, but I never thought of it as a major blockbuster success in the gaming world. Even if they only have 200k subs, swtor will be around for along time.
  7. Yeah if they where going to seperate it like they did, they could have thown a couple regional outposts dead center of the factions and the controlling faction of those outpost would control the planet. If a faction controls the planet, it gives a discount on that planets gtn and all vendors. If a faction controls a majority of the planets outposts, they would get the same thing on fleet vendors. Than on Ilum, have the same thing, but if you control a majority of the planets vendors, and the outpost on ilum after a time period(couple days or something) then vendors would spawn that would give pvp related rewards. A simple system like this would create massive battles, or imbalanced factions in the majority would be playing cat and mouse having the to constantly chase and try to predict which planets outposts are being ninja'd by the outnumbered faction. Not saying this in anymeans is a great system or even functional, I just expected something like this to make the game feel like a war.
  8. You know, when I see the numbers they can dps in warzones, I would agree, but then they can't beat me in a duel and I'm not even playing a marauder, or an operative:eek:
  9. Oh man, long, long read, but I agree with it. I thnk theres a couple other minor things, but yeah I agree with everything you said.
  10. With hundreds if not thousands of doomsayers waiting in the shadows to post, you would think the DOC's would have taken a more professional route, rather than posting on the forums. Not saying they where not sincere, but an utterly dumb time to post this. Of course, if it turns out to make players think that their crying got results, maybe it will prove a successful tactic. I.E. Thread topics "No swimming in TOR got millions of bioware employees laid off" or "Haha, you nerfed healers, now the players are nerfing your paychecks". Horrible examples, but since I've already seen threads popping up where people try to relate layoffs to their particular wants in game, I think its rather valid. Sorry for the people that got laid off. Now, what are you going to do to get subs up, to get people rehired? Its gonna take some serious thought, and I don't think legacy perks are going to do it.
  11. God I hope not. This games already got 3 tiers of gear in 6 months, any more and I'll be pulling my eyes out.
  12. I know man, its killing me. I just got bm done(all orange gear with augment slots) and now I'm slowly replacing those with warhero mods and armoring. The cost is extreme when pulling them out. 30k plus I think.
  13. If you have the patience, youll want to get the actual warhero gear you want, pull the mods out and put them in crafted orange gear with an augment slot. Than of course throw an augment in it. Buying the warhero orange gear, is risky(crit chance on crafting) plus you can throw the actual warhero mods in orange gear you like to look at
  14. I've been playing my brothers marauder since he's done with this game, and it's pretty easy. I don't post top damage for some reason, but I'm usually tops on kills(was always curious about that? You'd think that if you kill the most people, you would get top damage?). I can kill the first person with ease, and then all the defensive cooldowns allow me to kill a second with ease and roll somewhere to get healed up(or pick up a heal)
  15. Yeah, the merc arsenal, and the commando are done on our server. Their derp classes that everyone has learned how to deal with. Put in place reduced damage, reduced aoe damage, squishier, its the most fail mirror set in the game. Even the warhero is helping to make the class worse, heres 10 more expertise, but were going to take some aim, endurance, surge, and power and give you a big dose of accuracy, yay!!!
  16. something dark, without breadcrumbs guiding everything. Something like a kashykk but not a total themepark, with more exploration. It would be fun to find missions and events and stuff to find on my own. Something for that fourth piller of "exploration"
  17. I got killed capping the eastern node and the light followed me back to the respawn lol. It was capping as the node was changing over to the team that just owned me lol. My guess, is its a visual bug As far as the hackers are all over it, just wait it out. Biowares system is catching them fast now. Not sure what they implemented, but its working. Hackers know if they hack, within a couple days their done. The reason its happening? Is people who have decided to move on, just don't give a crap if they get booted. Its a theme we've been hearing on our server. "I've dropped my sub, getting a hack for the fun of it, even though I will get booted" And they are getting kicked from the game via bans. Again though they don't care, their sub cancellers anyways
  18. A taxi on belsavis would drop me from way up high at the stop. Just me. My friends would stand there laughing at me every time. It was like getting dropped off by the mob I owed money too. One dead willy every time.
  19. after opening the read more option on the video, it sounds like a really fun and solid idea to start up some pvp. Guess I chose the wrong server.... Even though I'm not a roleplayer, its nice to see people put effort into solving problems on their own and coming up with ideas to encourage having fun on their server. Well played jung ma server.
  20. I will not pay for a developers mistake. So my vote is for another game(or hell, a redbull and a pack of smokes, seems like a better investment)
  21. why don't 8 vs 4's not end early? Cause twelve people on a server are some damn impressive numbers online nowadays. On my servers, we play stick ball, cause theres not enough players for wz's. Now if only bioware would add a stick and ball into the game.
  22. I guess I could point out the 1000s of 1000s of bugs and glitches with the games you mentioned, especially LOTRO, but I'll just point out that yes, after five years, it was running smooth and content was released almost monthly. Bioware has stated that they want to be able to push out content monthly as well in a couple little spots here in there. Its a good attitude to have for a developer. And once all the stuff they didn't know would happen or would go wrong gets cleared out of the way, I think they can do that. Pretty much every mmo is a beta for the first year. Except in WoW when gamers where young and naive, a quest that couldn't be completed cause of a bug that wouldn't allow you to progress wasn't the end of life as we knew it. However in TOR seeing a wz glitch once a week, or not being able to open the chests on Ilum for one daily mission = game is unplayable. We have been spoiled. We weigh years of developers perfecting thier craft in one game against another a mere 5 months old. Don't get me wrong, I don't want to sound like a swtor fanboy, I have 23 days left on my free trial and then I'm going to take a break, but I will come back. Its a great foundation and i will be monitoring it closely for that day that they add something really cool, or something that really gets me excited in gaming.(like space combat lol, or open world pvp incentives), and they will.(imo)
  23. I do, it would be something to do while waiting endlessly for ques. Right now we table jump in the middle of fleet. The records 86 jumps from table to table(no vehicles), quite fun.
  24. haha, thats a bug, I've been on both ends lol I think its pretty funny, we made a line and kept disarming the bomb, till some guys got in an argument about whos turn it was lol I've only seen it twice though But to the cheating thing, if you suspect hacks, report it, they have cracked down, and somehow they are actually detecting alot of hacks to include the ol' speed hack.
  25. I'm curious about something, at outpost loreshe(or whatever the imperial outpost leading into the dune sea is called), but theres a woman in the north west corner, when you try to talk to her, she says shes too busy to take a bath or something to that effect lol
