  1. Why read something 3 times when you can get 10 pompous little *****s to jump all over you for making a slight error
  2. if you search youtube for jung-ma(server) youll find instances of things like this. Apparently they have alot of fun doing it.
  3. If you are waiting to level alts, I guess it would be good? I don't know, everyone I know has already ran their alts(the altoholics), so I really don't know if theres anything in this 1.3 thats even remotely tantalizing. Of course I'm sure they probably have some goodies they aren't talking about(hopefully)
  4. In all seriousness I didn't post this to start contrary arguments like "meet friends" lol, I just asked because the article I posted is fairly new, which is contradictory to what I had assumed from past mentions of how the rated system would work. I can still get a premade together in my guild, so thats not the problem, the problem is alot of people are running alts, and then labeling them pve alts(something I noticed when I asked our operative to get on his healer, which he notified me was a "pve" alt only) and not willing to level up a second or third/fourth set of pvp gear. Another problem is I see on our low pop server is players straight up logging out(sometimes permanently) cause they play for two hours and get faced rolled by the one premade(on the server) thats in every wz.
  5. Hmm, well, thats not how it sounds in the article, and quote I linked, and the only other mention of it, is saying that they will no longer allow single players to que for rated wz's. I'm curious if you could actually post a link to where they have "stated this over and over again". Unless your referring to their intentions of how rated wz's would be well before 1.2, other than that, it sounds as if the new system does in fact allow 8 man's to que for regular and rated. Quote:Rob Hinkle "For example, one of the things that we’ve added is the ability to queue for both Normal and Ranked Warzones at the same time, so players who are waiting for a Ranked game can also continue to play in normal games" Maybe what he meant to say in the article/quote I posted was that "sure you can have 8 men qued up for a rated warzone, and regular warzone, of course if you get a que for a regular warzone it will randomely split your group into two 4 man groups and randomely place you in different wz's" Of course if thats the case, it would be rather annoying to be in the half of the group that doesn't get the healer and tank.../sarcasm I guess out of the spirit of curiousity I will go and try to find these multiple sources(even though I have a feeling your talking about "what people have told you" and what bioware posted way back before 1.2, before they recalled the idea to implement changes like 1.no single man rated ques. 2. you can que your group for both normal and ranked surfaced in more recent articles)
  6. "Originally slated for Game Update 1.2, Rated Warzones is one of the more highly anticipated PvP features by the community. Can you update us on the team's progress towards its release, or explain any changes to the system since we last spoke at the Guild Summit?" "Rob Hinkle, Senior Designer: We are continuing to make good progress on the Ranked Warzone feature, with refinements based on our internal testing and the feedback we got on PTS last time around. For example, one of the things that we’ve added is the ability to queue for both Normal and Ranked Warzones at the same time, so players who are waiting for a Ranked game can also continue to play in normal games. When a Ranked game has enough players to launch, it will wait until everyone is finished playing their current Normal game, so Warzones don’t randomly empty out as Ranked games are launched." Article source: http://www.darthhater.com/articles/swtor-news/20452-darth-hater-interview-game-update-1-3-with-swtor My curiousity stems from 8 man groups. Will 8 man pre-mades so utterly dominate non rated warzones that Pugging will become even more of a waste of time then they already are? Now hear me out, I prefer premades, and hate pugging, yet out of 10 WZ's in a row, 9 of them will be against complete pick up groups. Now, I'd like to think that if theres rated warzones that 8 mans will be competing in them, but oddly enough they will stick to the regular warzones, as for some reason alot of players would rather be decent, but feel like gods stomping new 50's in recruit gear over watching their ranking suffer to fighting a pre-made thats actually good, or great. So my question is this, will their be a way for new 50's to get into this? As of late I've watched people hit 50 and quit the game cause getting obliterated over and over again, where no matter how skilled you are, is not fun?(I do believe that this game is a skill =gear based game) Should they have a no group allowed category of wz's to give newer players a statistical fighting chance?
  7. I agree with all price drops lol, I'm that one idiot, that saw biowares comments on set bonuses on pvp gear transferring, so I pulled all my mods, bought orange gear, and realized upon completion, that the pvp set bonus didn't transfer on BM(cleared up later by bioware), so I was left broke and very angry. I had to take a nice rage week off the game lol. I went from 2 million plus to 100k. lol
  8. I think, linear or not, breadcrumbing is a horrible thing. I liked mmo's better(sometimes lol) when I was looking for something "north west before the river", it made me actually look around and explore. Following a big dummy arrow to everything does cheapen the feel of non linear gameplay in my opinion. I didn't even notice the two giant capital ships docked in the sky on Corascant. Why would I of course, I was looking for a blip on my radar screen lol
  9. Nerfs suck and cause people to quit. I say buffs for everyone!
  10. I believe the price is being bumped down according to another thread. Even so, the prices are rediculous
  11. I might start doing that in PUG's lol sounds pretty funny
  12. Good list, two or three things i'm not really for or care about, but good list in my opinion
  13. And by "by kited into the sunset" he means a sorc is the only class that can run away lol. I think people forget that kiting means doing damage while moving away from a melee class, and not just escaping with a sliver of health not doing any good for the team while doing so.
  14. yeah, whats the coolddown on that "one gap closer" lol Put that one Gap closer on the same cooldown as range classes knockbacks, and then we could talk
  15. Once they get server transfers up, and server populations straight, then un rated warzones should have a pug only option. They won't however, instead they sound like their going to a system where 8 man premades waiting for rated's can que into regular warzones, which will make the premade rofl stomping twice as bad. I roll premades with my guild(or at least until 30 days ago when our server disappeared), but now that I have to run pugs, since there is only enough people to run one group, I've seen how it is going against premades and I won't do it. Its frustratingly bad. So once a premade is introduced on our server, all pugs stop queing, and no one warzones. Great system. I know its the "$$$$ pvp'ers goal to get people to quit" and its working. I think obvious solution, is to have wz's where you can't chose your group, allowing people to level up to where they can be competitive for premades.
  16. Really? Lol, my bad, I didn't know that. Maybe my brothers sub still has free time on it, but he can still post. So I assumed it was a free for all.
  17. Inside of the sith's main hub, I found the same thing,(minus the pipes), I got up there and it seemed like everything was a dead end. Maybe something was going to get put there, but it doesn't seem like they did.
  18. Fatman=great population, decent faction balance Swiftsure=great population, pretty good faction balance Jung-ma=this ones a rough call, its got a great population, great factions, and the best community in game, but its a roleplayer pvp server. The players organize massive all encompassing world pvp events. I'm not saying these are the best or better than any other servers, its just the three that the majority of my guildmates have left to reroll on.
  19. TL;DR-I'll sum it up for people not willing to read this, Bioware promised one mega server where you could play every bioware game on one server, access your bank, and follow espn's stories all in one server. I can't wait to play a sith warrior Shepard, that uses a thousand cuts kung fu in pvp. I'm just kidding(and a thousand cuts if from Jade Empire, greatest bioware game ever)
  20. I don't think the forum has anything to do with the fact that there is less than 100 people on my server at any time. I have a major laundry list of things I don't like, and wish where different, but overall If it wasn't for the massive server population issue, I could deal with those problems. Theres some things I like about this game. But to get on point, I think Bioware should switch the forum to only allow people with active subs to post comments. Don't get me wrong, I believe there should be a visitor section, but the main forums should be locked away from non playing haters that come here to spread doom and gloom. (I'd re-post the screen shot of the WoW guild trying to get as many people as possible to spam TOR's forums with negativity, but I'm sure everyones seen it, plus I don't care to try and find it anymore, its old news)
  21. This is what happened after the imperials over ran the base on ilum, the whole thing lasted for about an hour, but people tried to make it sound like it was hours, or 4 hours lol. We destroyed the turrets, camped the base for about an hour and got bored(I honestly didn't know that the republic players where having to log off) http://torwars.com/2012/01/20/bioware-responds-to-ilum-pvp-abuses/
  22. It just sounded like you assumed I was calling you guys a liar, when I was just curious. I'm an avid pvp'er and i think pvp should happen on pvp servers. I think the pvp servers show that they where truly designed as pve worlds and that "pvp" was a last minute fix to accomodate a playerbase that bioware doesn't really care about. You can tell by stupid mistakes like respawning at the same med droid over and over again is not really a design that would work on a pvp server. Or, like us getting threatened to be banned for camping a republic base in the ilum pvp zone(old news, i know, but it still agitates me, why have a base in a pvp zone if you can't destroy it/camp it?)
