  1. If the server population is already low, what incentive would people have to transfer to a server with a population of zero? Existing servers with medium level populations make better destinations for servers with low populations.
  2. So, I created a new character on a new server after I realized my original server was dead. Am I ever going to be able to consolidate my characters from both servers onto one server/legacy?
  3. EDIT: Deleted post. Posted in the wrong forum.
  4. I am big on pvp play and recently returned to the game after a couple months off. My primary server is as good as dead with server activity flatlining on 'Light' for the last 20 days. I conclude that if I want to pvp I will have to reroll on a new server. Will the server transfers will allow me to consolidate my primary characters with the character from the new server onto whatever server is designated to receive the character transfers?
  5. Looking at the server stats of Swiftsure over the past 30 days it has taken a noticeable dive since the 15th.
  6. Came back to SWTOR after a few months away intending to resub for a month to see if it was worth playing again. Then I noticed my server, Death Wind Corridor, was dead. According to the TOR Status site it's been full-on dead for at least a month. So I figure I basically have to give up playing my sniper for the time being and reroll a new character. I'd like to be able to combine my new character into my old Legacy when they allow server transfers, so I figure I should pick a pvp server that isn't full, but looking at the server stats it seems that Fatman is the only pvp server that hasn't died. Any suggestions?
  7. *Edited* Accidental double post. Disregard. Here's the real thread: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=334645
  8. Here's how I see balanced PvP. Healer types are strong against tank types, which have low dps. High burst dps types are strong against healer types. And tank/damage mitigation types are strong against dps types. Which means either MM spec snipers should be able to burn down a healer or the devs have a different idea of pvp balance. I tend to lean toward the idea that the devs have NO idea of pvp balances and are just winging it based on some fail *** PvE WoW model.
  9. It's good that your targets stand still for you, but I usually have to drop a shatter shot and some leg shots into my pvp rotation. The sheer length of time that series of shots takes kinda makes it an afterthought in pvp for me, let alone 3 of them.
  10. I doubt you can get 2k per crit since they nerfed surge, and even if you could the odds of critting every shot are astronomical.
  11. How about getting rid of Rapid Fire, the last skill in the marksman tree and replacing it with a short stealth that only works in cover. Give it a 2 minute cooldown and breaks on the first attack. Not very useful in pve, I know, but Rapid Fire doesn't seem very useful in pvp either.
  12. Hey, just want to thank Ocmer_ and Lemon_King for doing this. It's made pvp playable for me. I do have an issue though. The first time I open the game after I reboot it works great, but if I close the game and restart it it plays as if I didn't have the files on the ramdrive at all. I've been getting around this with a lot of reboots but I'm sure there must be a better way to do it. Any help would be appreciated.
