  1. The bounty hunters open fire, the General shielding his face as the blaster bolts bounce off his duranium shell. Then he springs into the air, landing inches away from them. Embo leaps back but the other bounty hunters are too slow, as Grievous lashes out with a foot, sending Aurra and Boba flying, while a hand seizes Bossk by the head and slams him into the ground. Grievous raises his clawed foot over the dazed Bossk, and is just about to crush his ribcage when a searing flash of red engulfs the side of his face, as Embo open fire with his bowcaster. He roars in anger and in that brief moment Bossk rolls away as the clawed appendage descends to pound the bare dirt beneath him. Then the cyborg turns on Embo and as he does Bossk falls into a low crouch, and with a snarl pounces on him from behind before Grievous can make a move, seizing him in a fierce grip he pulls back the general's arms to leave his chest exposed. "Shoot him, Embo!" He snarls. Embo obliges, but as the first volley impacts on his armor Grievous becomes a whirling blur, rotating his torso to fling Bossk off, taking out Embo in the process as the Trandoshan collides with him and they barrel into a stack of crates. Then a sudden burst of power blows Grievous off his feet, he lands on all fours, sinking his claws into the dirt to slow his momentum as his assailant rushes towards him. Aurra Sing flies at him with preternatural speed, humming vibrodaggers in both hands, she brings her booted foot about to strike Grievous in the face. But the General barely flinches, then lunges at her with his claws. Surprised by his speed Aurra barely evades the swipe, before hacking at Grievous with her own flurry of attacks. He dodges the first two slashes, but then an uppercut slices his chest plating, sending sparks flying. Sing smiles but her victory is short lived as with sudden speed a metal hand lashes out to seize her by the throat, she struggles to break his durasteel grip as Grievous lifts her off her feet, forming a knife with his other hand he prepares to stab. But then he stops, as two spherical objects come to rest at his feet. They both look down, and both eyes widen in recognition. But it is too late to act, with a high pitched whine the ion grenades detonated, releasing an electrostatic and engulfing the pair in crackling blue energy. Overloading Grievous' servomotors and short circuiting Sing's head implant. Grievous grip pops open as he sinks to his knees and Sing collapses to the ground. Then the bounty hunters open fire, a flurry of bolts smacking Grievous in the chest before a few more collide with his face, knocking him onto the floor. He snarls in frustration, and then in typical form decides to retreat. "Let him go." says Boba as Grievous scuttles away. "We don't have the energy to finish him anyway." And they did not, battered, bruised, drugged and shot, the bloodbath had taken everything out of them. But they had seized control of the Cornucopia, and all its spoils belonged to them, for now.
  2. Well tbh I was waiting to see if there were any more thoughts on additional candidates.
  3. Perhaps, the problem is thought that her feats are not as good as Bane's, so she can't simply ride his coat tails arguably above anyone other than Bane. In a straight up comparison she's not even as powerful as Dooku I feel. It might be better to leave her for the honorable mentions, rather than speculate on how much more powerful than Bane she might be, and in what fields, as there is no guarantee she outclassed him in all fields, I am unsure.
  4. Still not seeing Zannah as coming before Bane or Traya tbh.
  5. OK, concerning the next set of candidates, along with Kyp and Malgus I think Wyyrlok could be a potential candidate. To briefly list some of his most impressive powers and accolades: - He was been described as having unparalleled knowledge of the rituals and lore of the Sith, even more so than Krayt. - His Force lightning was powerful enough to completely shatter stone columns and destroy Krayt's Vong armour. - With an iota of his power he conjured multiple illusions of himself to influence dark side cultists to kill each other and was capable of overwhelming and mentally dominating Darth Anneddu, himself a powerful illusionist. - He was capable of using memory walk to seemingly leave Reborn Krayt momentarily crippled, and was able to easily deflect the Force lighting of Darth Anneddu with a single palm. - Was able to conjure a Force barrier that repelled a telekinetic attack from Reborn Krayt. EDIT: Though that said I'm not quite convinced he has sufficient showings to compete with them.
  6. Final Verdict: #13 Cade Skywalker. For reference, a comparison of Cade's abilities with Kyp, Malgus (and Arcann) can be found here.
  7. Compiling my analysis of Control and Alter for reference purposes, I have also revised my Alter comparison. Comparison of Control 1. Arcann possessed immense and overpowering Force augmentative strength. Altogether as far as Force augmentation goes, I would say that Malgus and Cade stack up to Arcann's performance on Korriban, and there feats suggest it unlikely the Outlander would have any physical advantage over them either. Altogether I would afford anyone an edge over Arcann here however, for even though Cade has blitzed much more powerful opponents, we should account for Krayt being even less prepared, and Arcann being 5 years from his prime. Though in regards to Kyp, I don't believe he has really anywhere demonstrated this level of physical ability. 2. Arcann was able to endure considerable physical injury. Altogether I'd say all three candidates here more than match up to Arcann's physical resilence, and we have sufficient proof to claim they'd be able to endure such levels of trauma. I would say Cade gains a decisive edge over Arcann however thanks to the higher levels of self-mastery Dark Transfer afforded him, and his exceptional mental resilience. 3. Arcann possessed significant skill in the art of Force Concealment. In the overall sphere of Control I would say Cade and Malgus compare to him in almost all respects, and overall Cade gains a minor edge through superior healing/endurance capabilities. Kyp competes with Arcann in endurance, but I would argue that Arcann surpasses him overall by demonstrating a superior Force augmentative abilities. Comparison of Alter 1. Kyp's ability to manipulate objects telekinetically. 2. Kyp's destructive power in the Force. 3. Kyp's ability to break through Force barriers. 4. Kyp's ability to penetrate and manipulate the minds of others. Conclusively I would say that Kyp has demonstrated largely superiority over Cade in terms of manipulating objects and potentially destructive power ability to Malgus in terms of destructive power, however Cade has demonstrated himself to be more mentally dominating. Furthermore we must also account for the fact that Kyp's Alter Enviroment feat does not give him definitive superiority over Cade, and Cade has demonstrated, and that Cade has demonstrated abilities that Kyp has no feats that compare. For example his ability to shield himself from the explosion of Maladi's lab, and emerge unscathed. In this respect it can be argued that Cade equals him in Alter, or at best Kyp has a minor edge over him.
  8. She says she shouldn't open it, because she's not a Jedi. Unlike the Inquisitors she respected the sanctity of the place.
  9. At best, he'd probably have to slam them into something pretty hard, or wail on them with a series of attacks. And of course this is assuming they don't make good use of evasive skills and keep their distance. But yeah, a KO would be just as good as a kill in the heat of battle. My point more is if they manage to rout Grievous, a KO can be recovered from, whereas death is obviously permanent. And as I say an electromagnetic grenade or two could potentially take Grievous out of action, or at least convince him to retreat (which isn't difficult in his case), all they need to do is grab one, so they do have options concerning victory. Karadron also makes good points about shooting vitals spots. Especially his face. Nothing, I'm just pointing out that's the only spot that would ensure a KO. And lawls, oops.
  10. Every one of these fighters has tanked something that would kill a clone, armored or not. And I'm not talking about mauling, I'm talking about blunt force trauma. At best he can KO in that manner. Ah fair enough, I missed that one. However it was a blow to the jaw, so it would have given her a concussion, not something Grievous can replicate unless she hits her in the head.
  11. Sure, but Rex and Clone Trooper X were only knocked unconscious by his blunt force attacks, so I'd question whether the majority of those Mandalorians were killed. I'm imagine it was only the ones who got their skulls smashed in. And that's great and all but she got straight back up.
  12. Well, by crushing their skulls and tearing into them with his claws. Granted if they are caught in his grip chances of death are high, but any other kind of blow I reckon they could recover from. As far as durability is concerned Bossk I'd imagine is superhuman, Aurra is Force sensitive and has tanked things like a massive boulder to the face, Embo has tanked lethal explosions (though he was BFRed) and Fett survived being digested by a Sarlaac. So they are all pretty beastly in that respect. Embo and Sing are also very agile.
  13. I agree that their weapons will likely prove ineffective against Grievous (though a well placed shot to the face may phase him) but do remember that the Cornucopia is littered with electromagnetic grenades. These kinds of weapons have worked against Grievous in the past. Bossk's DC-15 is also fitted with a tow cable, which has also worked against Grievous , and could be used to contain him.
  14. ================================================== The arena has been updated everyone! (Apologies for the wait ) Check it out: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=8845992#post8845992 Quinlan Vos has ended the life of a tribute (it can down to a 50/50, one tribute lucked out) and fled, finding himself headed for Zone 1 and the Massassi temple. Meanwhile Atton Rand and Kir Kanos have both escaped to Zone 3. But now the final battle for control over the Cornucopia is about to begin! All others tributes are either dead or gone, all that remains are the bounty hunters, Boba, Bossk, Aurra Sing and Embo and the cyborg Jedi Killer, General Grievous. Who will emerge victorious? Note that the bounty hunters have sustained injuries, see below for their status and bios: Aurra Sing Boba Fett Bossk Embo Grievous ==================================================
  15. "Ready to die, Jedi?" "I'm no Jedi." Quinlan says with hint of malice. Lashing out with dark power to blow Bane away. Then wordlessly he springs at Aurra, raining down blows with an intensity she'd never faced before. His moves are as fast as they are unpredictable, Sing rapidly backpedaling as she struggles to keep up. Cad Bane gets to his feet with a groan, his body smarting from half a dozen bruises inflicted from tumbling down the Cornucopia steps. This Jedi, was far more powerful than he was when he faced him on Teth. Something had changed. Pushing those thoughts from his mind Bane retrieves his fallen blaster pistols and dashes back up to the top. He hears the clash of vibroblades before he sees them, ducking behind some crates in an attempt to remain undetected. He peers over them to watch as Sing is forced steadily backward. She is injured, blood trickling into her eye from a cut on her forehead. It was only a matter of time before Vos defeated her, but the Jedi has his back turned. Bane saw an opportunity. Holstering a pistol he raises the other to eye Vos through his scope. Aiming at his chest he prepares fire a shot that will pierce his heart. Then without warning Vos flips into the air, just as Bane squeezes the trigger. Leaving Aurra in its path instead, she raises her vibroblade to deflect it, falling to the ground as it absorbs the bolt but shatters in two in the process. Then Vos lands in front of him. He tries to fire a shot but Vos has already slashed his weapon to pieces, and before he can draw his second pistol Vos grips him with the Force. Pulling the bounty hunter onto his waiting blade, the weapon tears through him, ripping apart flesh, rupturing organs and filling his lungs with blood. Bane looks at Vos with an expression of pain and surprise as he stares back at him, with a cruel, cold gaze. "Damn... Jedi..." He splutters, before life leaves his body, and Vos pulls the blade out of him. Then Vos is somersaulting through the air as half a dozen blaster bolts streak towards him. He takes in his opponents mid flight as the bolts zip past him. Bounty hunters. Three of them. The Mandalorian, Boba Fett, the Trandoshan, Bossk, and that strange looking alien with the breath mask. Aurra Sing is with them, now wielding a blaster pistol. The moment his feet touch the earth Vos springs away, a flurry of laser bolts studding the ground where he stood. Then he lashes out with the Force, splaying his hands and fanning them outward to knock the bounty hunters to the ground with a wave of energy. Four against one, the odds were hardly in his favour. And so before the can recover Vos is away, rushing for the trees in search of Ventress. ======================= Aurra Sing nudges the body at her feet. "He's dead." Bossk lets out a hiss. "One less competitor to worry about." "He was a good bounty hunter" Boba says. "We could have used his skills." "Well now he's gone" Aurra says, turning away "so let's focus on - " she pauses, as if suddenly senses something. Then wordlessly she holsters her pistol and retrieves her sniper rifle to point it at the arena below. "What is it Aurra?" Boba asks. "We've got company." They all turn to look in the direction of her weapon, as some kind of giant metal arachnid races towards them. Sing fires a shot but the creature evades it with inhuman ability. Accelerating towards them at even greater speed it crawls up the side of the Corncuopia, and then, servomotors whirring, it unfurls to form the upright form of General Grievous.
  16. With iconic characters Nien Nunb and Greedo being added to the heroes roster? Hardly, this game be buzzing.
  17. OK, so two important matters I need to cover here. 1. The Decision Making Process/Future of the Council Alright so with Selenial and Aurbere absent indefinitely (I've talked to Aurbs, he's busy with a job and has unsubscribed) I feel the best course of action is to dissolve the Council and grant myself emergency powers. Seriously however, the Council needs three full-time members to be effective, and though I've considered forming a new Council, I feel that would limit the number of able endorsers to too small a pool. With that in mind I'm proposing a new system in which I will have sole responsibility over the final decision, however that decision must be endorsed by a minimum three others who have contributed to and/or followed the discussion. Does this seem fair? I'm hoping that it will continue to ensure decisions are made on merit and without biased. And there also exists the possibility of the Council being reinstated in the future if we receive more activity. 2. Verdict for #13 and Moving Forward If the above system is acceptable, then with my support behind Cade we've have a total of 5 endorsements. Which is more than enough to put him on the list. After that I would agree with the proposal for Wyyrlok as a candidate.
  18. Sorry for the delay on this, been struggling to find time to update the arena. In the meantime how about some thoughts on Kanos? Now that he has dispatched Canderous do we expect him to flee, or stay and fight? And if the former will he head in any particular direction?
  19. Not sure, I'll give it some thought. Nice, seems like a good candidate for the next spot.
  20. Aurbere and Selenial's continued absences presents some problems that may require permanent solutions. However Padster, Jarons and Random have all thrown their support behind Cade, I assume their opinions stand. It definitely has enough endorsements therefore, its merely a question of redefining the Council consensus.
  21. Arcann I think should remain in the Honourable Mentions for now. I think I could support Cade over Kyp if there are endorsements. I'm also seeing Malgus' only advantage over Kyp being Force lightning, so I could support Cade over him as well. Cade for #13 seems worth proposing.
