  1. To summarize: 1. I'm tired of plunder like economy (kill, plunder, dismantle and pray to learn schematic). Where is all that high tech industry in SF games? Where is player character invention? Why can't I research items on my own without killing? 2. I'm tired of limiting my choices with character development even further. How hard can it be to read skill description and make a choice? Before I was able to customize my build more (I liked some of hybrid builds I had). I got a feeling required age to play SWtOR now dropped to something about 8 years old with parental approval...what about us older players? What about some of us that require more complexity from the games? Now I can't play my way. I have to play Your way since I'm almost a perfect clone of all other ppl playing my class in regards of skill sequence... 3. I recall times when each class had it own storyline on each planet. Now all I have is mass produced, general type story line (beside older lvl 1-50 ones), which was even more generalized since we have almost the same thing for empire and republic now. I agree new add-on has interesting story line... but play it 8 times (4 classes, 2 sides) and I bet You will get bored by seeing the same thing 8 times. 4. No class specific dailies, no bonuses for not killing as many targets as possible (light side player should get bonus for minimal collateral damage while completing objective...)... kill, kill, demolish, loot... I feel really tired of all that senseless violence while playing "good side" character? To make it short I do not believe SWtOR will be worth much of my time and any of RL credits I have if it goes further that way. To Bioware: I have enjoyed other Bioware products which I have on my hard drive even now (Baldur's Gate I and II combined into one big game in russian language for learning purposes) but I really don't like what happens to You now under american style management which I feel is strictly money focused.
  2. Inheritance is for lvl 14-16 if I recall well. Birthright is for ~lvl 32. Just save up those kits and eventualy u might get one set for new character. There is also class specific legacy gear (custom orange) which is tradeable within legacy so You can fill it up with mods and then send to other alt which is very usefull later in game.
  3. Everything made by human is flawed by definition so this game has bugs too but I enjoy playing it. Just try it out, do not hesitate to experiment with each class and do not limit Yourself to one side (republic/empire).
  4. I have nearly completed one mission with my old grade 5 artifacts (no ECM, no EM pulse). You need more practice:)
  5. Deffinitely not. I have made an attempt to complete 3 and failed 3 times. To say it shortly: gear gap between Grade 5 artifacts and grade 7 is too big and missions are designed in a way u will get hit eventualy (no chance to dodge at point blank range). All that damage builds up and u will simply get scrapped before mission ends. From those 3 failures I have already learned what I need and once I'm done with tweaking my two main characters all fleet comms I get will go for gear upgrades I need (9 ships...). This will keep me busy for a while:) Also if u do not like space combat You don't have to do them. We have other dailies/weekly missions available. P.S. Like in RL air fight, superior tech wins.
  6. I would love to have something like that:)
  7. Lifetime sub.. no, but I would support 1 or even 2 years plan. Personaly I prefer to pay for 2-3 months periods since there are a lot of things that can happen in my life like: 1. Getting married->no time to play for quite some time, u know kids etc. 2. Dying in RL->no time to play too unless I'm allowed to login from the other side. 3. Natural diseaster->self explanatory. 4. End of the world->obiously on means to play too since all who had survived would be busy staying alive. 5. Vacation mode-> this is where preferred status is handy.
  8. I agree. Cyborg should have additional slider with species selection, at last those which are normaly available for the class and those which are unlocked by player.
  9. Empire is militaristic society. Find out what happens if adress Your superior in army who is a woman with "Madam" or "Lady". You will probably end up cleaning toilet for the rest of the month:). In SWToR using Lady/Madam when speaking to female sith would probably end up with being electrocuted for several minutes:)
  10. Easiest solution would be: 1. Add buff for missing armor bonus to Dark Charge/Combat Technique as long as character is not flagged for PvP. 2. Make all FP/Ops to temporary turn off PvP flag as long as character is in instance.
  11. I do not see much difference between 350k limit and 500k limit unless it's unlocking some of legacy perks. All planet and class missions are doable with prototype gear (blue). I can tell that from my personal experience. If You talk about making grade 26/27 artifacts there is no secret that most crafters will make them for mats+fee, which is where credit limit is not an obstacle. If I were new player I would start with F2P model to learn how to play and advance class I want to lvl 50. After that I would pay for 2 months sub time, earn some creds to buy perks I want and after that I would carefully compare preferred status to subscriber status (costs, time I have for playing etc) and choose what suits me the most.
  12. I'm against it. F2P is meant to be limited. Don't forget You can always pay for 2 months, unlock what u want and then revert to F2P status again (instead of having account frozen like in other games).
  13. Full legacy lvl 50 set (moddable), including earing, implants, offhand, mainhand not bound to specific class:)
  14. More space missions and tougher ones, great:) P.S. Can we have something more than just shooting? For example smuggling type mission where main objective is to survive blockade to deliver goods?
  15. Legacy armor is not adaptive now. I have legacy lvl 50 but I do not own millions either which is why possibility of sharing one set of armor on my 4 alts using the same stat (for exmaple sniper, operative, scroundel, gunslinger) is a lot cheaper than gearing all 4 of them. Look at GTN prices for materials used to craft grade 26/27 gear for example.
  16. The main reason for purchasing this gear would be ability to freely move entire set within same legacy (both imperial and republic alts) without paying for extraction costs which can be quite a lot if u do it more than once so instead of gearing up two characters (or 4 in my case using the same primary stat) You could share the same set of gear. I think I don't have to explain how much cheaper that would be. Please also keep in mind lack of class restriction usage enables gear to be used on companions as well.
  17. I got this idea while doing space missions today. 1 thread in my brain was handling combat and the 2nd one was thinking about a lot of different stuff when suddenly I have realized what would be interesting for me (possibly other ppl with legacy lvl 50 too)- some new legacy items and one more perk type. 1. Items *Legacy lvl 40 armor set, not bound to class but still not adaptive type. Full set including earing/implants/wrists parts. Each of them around 2m/piece. *Legacy lvl 50 weapons and offhand items, around 5m/piece. 2. Legacy lvl 50 perks (mutualy exclusive) allowing usage of cybertech/biomech artifacts as long as one of legacy characters has choosen crafting skill at required level. Unlock cost around 5m per character. Now part of You must be thinking that credit part of my proposal must be insane but just think how usefull those items/perks would be for someone who already has plenty of lvl 50 characters...
  18. I like legacy model we have now. Just reach proper legacy lvl and You can unlock skill You want with creds (or just ignore it).
  19. I've been talking recently on guild chat and had an very interesting (ofc for me) idea regarding enabling cloaking ability for certain classes. 1. Bounty Hunter, Mercenary. Turning on Cloaking Device cripples natural gear heat dissipation and gradually increases heat accumulated. Stealth level depends from heat level. Cloaking device automatically turns off after reaching maximum heat level to prevent user from being cooked up alive. 2. Trooper, Commando: Turning on Cloaking Device drains a lot of power than portable energy source can offer, therefore stealth level drops along with energy reserves in Commando energy pack. Cloaking device automatically turns off after reaching critical minimum energy level. 3. Imperial Agent, Sniper/Smuggler, Gunslinger Turning on Cloaking Device drains all available energy into device capacitors and offers the same level of stealth for short period of time. Device operation time depends from level of energy initially stored and at maximum offers stealth ability for 10s long. The main idea is to add limited stealth ability to all above classes (that would fit class role) that at the same time wouldn't be as powerfull as cloaking abilities of Shadow/Assasin/Operative/Scoundrel. For example commando as name suggests is often dropped behind enemy lines and has to reach target undetected for the missions to success.
  20. 99 stack per inventory slot is ok. 99 stack per cargo hold slot is deffinitely not right, it should be around 999 since ship is a lot bigger than player backpack not to mention player backpack is so small that You can't see it and ship cargo hold is at last 3x bigger than player itself (unless it is body 4 male). P.S. Isn't player backpack and example of super tech? It can fit tons of stuff without slowing down character movements and it even allows 100% combat performance for character wearing it. Space compression, space folding, inertial field, micro universe etc comes to my mind when I think how's that possible:)
  21. Is there anyone else who would like to replay class story on the same character, just slightly adjusted to level 50? We have hard mode FPs, Operations, why not make hard mode class story? They are already instanced so it should be quite easy to implement. My proposition is to add Legacy Perk (legacy wide, or legacy character only) allowing replaying class story once per week- a kind of weekly mission.
  22. I was thinking about that too. I would love to have missions on my operative which would require me not to kill anything in the process, just to sneak by all guards unnoticed and for example record conversation between republic officials. We could really use class random mission generator (instanced, randomized areas with customizable objectives).
  23. I'm using WASD in space combat all the time. I know it isn't necessary to complete missions but I like to eliminate as many targets as possible and take minimum damage in the process. Call it old space combat sims veteran habit:) Anyway I agree space combat and character control key binds shouldn't interfere.
  24. My offer is no longer valid due to lack of interest. I'm asking mod to delete this thread.
  25. I do not see any kind of discrimination here since "female player required" is even in thread title. How do u want to play as male with male character which is at the same time opposite to Your RL gender?
