  1. I play an Aresenal Merc and I have absolutely no mobility, I have 3 skills I can use while I have to move and thats Rail Shot, Heat Seeker Missles and Rapid Shots (Auto Attack). Rail Shot requires me to shoot out 5 Tracer Missles (1.5 second activation - no movement) to get maximum damage, and Heat Seeker Missles require me to use 3 Tracer missles for max damage, plus both those skills have CD. So best of both worlds? I don't think so, the only mobile merc is pyrotech, which as of right now is merc's only viable PVP build, and not PVE.
  2. I'm not the OP but im pretty sure he said... For example... Yup he did.
  3. Heh, it doesn't hurt that you get the lighting just right aswell, are you a photographer by trade or something?
  4. Delimma! What good comes from going Armstech? Can't you just buy the Augmented Mod Weapons? (Obviously from other Armstechs.) Barrels you can get from yanking them out of other weapons. What else can Armstech do?
  5. Thanks, went out and got it the day I commented earlier. Unfoturnately, it seems that body type 2 just doesn't look as cool with it as I would have hoped for. Obviously having serious regrets about being a normal sized person, should have gone with body type 3, they make all of our heavy armor look soo much better.
  6. Yea I mean with just the set except the helm, I understand that the helm is bulky, I would probably replace with an augmented warlord half helm.
  7. Oh please tell me you have Columi I wanna see what it looks like with the Columi or Rakata!! Either way you convinced me to get the EoT Chest intead of the box!!
  8. The easiest to level imo BH is an arsenal merc, because you can take down grps of mobs rather easily, I would suggest doing arsenal untill 50 and then respec to bodyguard if you wish to be a healer. That would be the quickest way. But if you feel like being a healer all the way up, you definately need to change companions, Mako doesn't do much if any damage, and bodyguard spec merc isn't going to bring the house down either, my suggestion would be using Gualt because he does a lot of damage or Torian, whom does pretty good damage but its hard to find his weapon with AIM on it. MOST IMPORTANTLY make sure you upgrade you companions gear! Also, if you do decide to go bodyguard spec, you will most definately have an easier time finding grps for HEROICs or FPs. Hope this helps
  9. I am arsenal merc, I play PvP regularly, I always end up in the top 5 for damage and I’m not even full BM yet, Huttball seems like the most difficult WZ to me only because there is a lot of movement, staying in the center only goes so far, but you’re not going to get much damage done, since everyone leaves that part of the map once the ball has been retrieved. But I counter my damage in Huttball by positioning myself for the ball carrier to jump to, or possibly just get someone targeting me instead of him. If I am lucky, and close enough to the goal line, maybe someone will throw to me. I don't expect much from Huttball matches, and I try to be as useful to the team as possible, even throwing out some heals on the ball carrier and making someone think I am a healer so they leave the other healers/ball carrier alone. Otherwise, all the other WZ the best thing to do since we are as you say "glass cannons" is to scout around for easily killable classes and burn them down quick, then move onto the more difficult to kill ones. It's important to remember that you are a glass cannon, so try to make yourself scarce or hard to see, use the chaos of the WZ to your advantage, most players go after the person in there face, i.e. Melee guys, and most of the time they don't even notice they you have burned them down. Also keeping healers preoccupied is also very beneficial, if your fighting a skilled healer you can end up getting a lot of dps out of him, while keeping him from healing his teammates. I don't know what you’re looking for in a PvP class, but if you want to just jump into the fray then merc at least arsenal is a bad career choice. Also, if you really want BW to take you seriously I would suggest not calling them out on the forums, maybe contacting them with a more professional approach. When you make posts like this you just end up looking like someone trying to start some form of rebellion or boycott. Which is the same song and dance, and so far nothing has changed, we haven't even gotten a confirmation on whether or not our class is broken. Just for your information, I do wish we either dealt more damage or had more survivability, but since I didn't reach 50 until after 1.2c , I never really knew the world of massive crit HSM or the stacking of TM buffs with other Mercs, so it is understandable that pre 1.2 Merc's are angry.
  10. Aerro, amazing job your are an inspiration to the mercenary community, I especially like the suggestions toward ripping enh from SW gear, and also getting black hole earpiece. Also to keep ungrateful individuals from trolling your posts about PvP, you could just add a section that says -Step 1 : Get Recruit Gear -Step 2 : Do everything you would do as if you were PvE, because our class doesn't really have any strategic significance in PvP except to melt faces and try not to draw attention to ourselves. -Step 3 : Get BM Gear and so on. If you need advice playing Aresenal Merc in PvP then you can easily just follow Aerro's guide. but if you just want to do PvP in general as a merc, I hear Pyro specced merc are doing pretty good and I beleive there is a guide around the forums somewhere with that spec. -BP
  11. I dont have full BM quite yet, but I think the best way to decide what piece to purchase is always to check which one gives the biggest boost, especially in the stat base that you are concentrating on. Just because something could be expensive doesn't mean it will be the biggest boost. When I started getting PvP gear the biggest boost piece for me to get was the bracers, then chest, boots and so on. But im sure, someone who has already replaced some of there BM with WH could probably tell you better then me with actual stat changes and what not. Hope this helps.
  12. But I don't want to interrupt myself, who goes "IM GONNA SPRAY YOU DEATH FROM ABOVE!!! TAKE THAT oh wait nevermind."
  13. But like I said realisticly speaking I wouldn't continue pummeling the same location after everyone has vacated the area.
  14. I was wonder how people felt about changing DFA to a target attack with the same effect? Realisticly speaking if I was a BH in the world of Star Wars I wouldn't boost up into the sky and start spaying missles at one location if everyone just moved away. I think I would concentrate on one person and anyone who happens to be near him gets messed up as well. Also think it would be nice for PvP. What do yall think?
  15. I don't think we need any more classes imo, bioware pretty much got the jist of the Star Wars character scenario... However I think that every class should be able to DPS / HEAL / TANK. And ONLY be viable in that AC decision Such as a TANK actually tanks. Or a healer heals. But still be capable of solo leveling. Instead of all classes having DPS option. For example Sith Warrior ACs. Jugg - Tank Mara - DPS **** - Heal Or Agents Sniper- DPS Operative - Heal **** - Tank I say this because, it seems like some people have animosity towards Tank classes doing DPS And from what I can tell I don't see very many DPS Juggs running around getting grps...
  16. Ok, just trying to keep up to date here... I want to do more PvE then PvP and I want to make sure that I have everything going for me. Accuracy = Don't worry about it? Form = Soresu for armor bonus? Stat = Power -> Surge -> STR -> END? I just got to level 50 and surprisingly feel like I know nothing about the actual characteristics of the Jugg. I decided to go Rage and I am doing the super smash spec. But what defensively should I be worrying about? Shield rating / absorbtion / defense rating / armor? Also. I am super lazy when soloing to switch between mobs to keep aggro and get the full effect of my smash, is it plausible to use Jaesa as a companion to keep mobs close and still have decent survivability? Plus range mobs are annoying me, what is the best way to get them close in? Or do I just have to deal with it and run around killing them one by one?

    Legacy

I think the legacy idea is amazing, but it should be just like any "legacy" it should be able to intermingle with other players, not just your own... I say this because someone has the legacy name I want, and I was thinking it would be cool if our legacies were joined, like I was the other guys brother or cousin or something, it could also let a grp of friends who play together create a cool family legacy. What do yall think? -BP
