  1. It's a great game. Plus, get this, after Endwalker 6.0 dropped this past December, they are getting ready to drop 6.1 in mid-April. All new content, new MSQ storyline, raids, dungeons, and a whole lot more. SE knows exactly how to keep their 25 million paying subscribers happy with new content every 3 to 4 months!
  2. It was in either 4.0 or 5.0 that they change when abilities were given. They said (devs) that wanted the player's characters to feel more powerful and less lack luster in performance. And now, they've reverted back to something that really reduces the abilities of a character in such a manner that their progression will slow down to an acceptable level by these passive aggressive devs that run this game. You will play their way or you can shag your backside down the road. Frankly, they don't freaking care anymore. That was apparent when Keith did his drive by post from this past Friday citing his "This is MY future vision of this game." I have 5 characters that have not leveled past 45 or less. I will not brother with them now. I'll probably delete them. I didn't complete Conquest for my 2 guilds. Didn't have the time nor was I going to try. Not until they've fixed the "you don't get any rewards for conquest" bug. At this point, frankly, I don't give a damn about it anymore. This game is now nothing but pure trash compared to what it was like with 6.0. Yet the devs will gaslight us into believing what we believe isn't true and everything is sunshine and roses.
  3. Hey, go to Square Enix and see what they have for update 6.1 coming mid-April. Something that SWTOR players drool for and never see in a single year let alone 2. And this is after the massive Endwalker 6.0 Xpac too.
  4. Do you realize what your advocating here? Do you now how much monthly income is lost with 44% (8,384 players down from 19,054 as of 2/20) of these steam players no longer playing? $126,000 per month. And since all of them had to sub to play LoTS, that's not a drop in the buck when calculated for 12 months solely on that 44%. How many more are going to walk away by the end of March? April? For the next quarter? The loss of long-term gross income becomes staggering. And yes, a statistician can extrapolate how the game is doing based on the steam metric and be correct to reflect a similar affect is happening there too. Why do you think Keith showed up late Friday with his "Our insight post?" Damage control, nothing more, nothing less. CM cannot and will not hold the game afloat. That's short term gross income that is mostly spent to cover short term costs and covering things like bug fixes and other incidentals. We need to keep every sub player subbed to the game. F2P has failed and isn't money that can be counted on for much of anything since they spend little in the CM and only play up to SoV. You might want to rethink your position or not.
  5. There's a problem with that method. Any gear that drops, not from the boss, will be the spec gear for the class using another class' gear. If you're wearing Boltblaster gloves playing a VG/PT dps, the drop will be the gear associated with the VG/PT. So, you'd be exchanging the same gear again that you did with before. Their system is set up so this happens to keep you wearing the originally recommended gear or slow you down to a crawl in updating the gear. As was their purpose and intent from the start; just to play the game longer and longer and longer, ad nauseum.
  6. Not actually. They took away the Guardian Knight (Awe) and Immortal Jugg (Threatening Scream) tanks only CC ability they had. Now they have no way to control the crowd properly after the increased the AOE taunt from 30 to 45 seconds. This is an intentional act to sabotage the tank specs. And its the same thing for Vanguard and PT tanks. They really screwed tanks over regarding crowd control and controlling the flow of battle and defending the party.
  7. I must say, now that I've had a few days to mull this over, your post is nothing more than damage control. And you've failed miserably in doing that. You are sticking to this no matter what happens to your player base or the monetary cost that it is already hitting you with. Since 7.0 dropped, in 20 days, you've lost 44% of the Steam players that stopped playing the game. How many of those were subscribers? Probably all of them since being subbed to this game was required to play 7.0. That's roughly $126,000/month. How does it look from the PC platform? I bet it's more. You show up 20 days later to "offer your insight," I should say, from some hidden place, to address us now? I know you have the metrics telling you how many people have unsubbed. Coupled with Steam, I believe you've lost a large percentage of your long term monetary income. Your CM, which you've sabotaged with this update, will not staunch the monetary bleeding you're experiencing. 7.0 is a failed update, your damage control post here, has failed, spectacularly so. To make matters worse, your direct competitor, FFXIV, will be releasing brand new content in Mid-April with all new MSQ, side quests, dungeons, Raids, and much, much more. They know to keep their player base satisfied. BW has operated the exact same way since 4.0. I call it Trickle down content release. It took you 2 years to give us an 7.0 you call an expansion? It's anything but an expansion. It's a contraction if anything. It's time to face reality. Your attempt to force your vision (nightmare) on us by fundamentally altering the game, it's mechanics, and the very foundation this game was designed with, is a failure, obscenely so. I'm sure EA is watching very attentively. I'm sure they'll pull the same stunt with y'all as they did with the original crew when they released Update 1.2. That which ultimately lead to 80% or more of the original crew being let go. It's time to admit this "venture" failed. To salvage it, one would surmise that you revert back to the last version of 6.0. Keep the Legacy of the Sith, Combat Styles too. But the mechanics, skills, modable gear, and the rest must be reverted back to. You don't want renown in the game? Turn it off. You don't want any FPs being farmed? Limit them to 3 a day per character. Return Conquest to what it was, but leave the 100k CXP. Open it back up, do away with "bound to legacy" trap you have so each alt a player has can utilize conquest to its fullest. You don't want money or xp being awarded? Turn them off. This is how it should've been done from the outset. However, you not only changed the dressing, you replaced the plumbing with something so complicated it affected every aspect of the game because of Alpha version Hero Engine that is looks like spaghetti code. Minor tweaks were required to make changes. Y'all took a freaking wrecking ball to clear it all away, replacing with something that looks like an apprentice low level coder and artist student designed and put through. Right now, I can tell you with assurances, that for everyone one unsatisfied, upset, enraged, and disappointed customer are telling 16 people of just how bad things are for SWTOR. And with each individual they tell, will in turn tell 16 people. This will gone on exponentially and it will be embellished with person repeating it. This is what happens when a customer believes they've been screwed over a product they've loved and their loyalty trampled on, all for a Future Vision that turned into a nightmare. Mind you, a customer who is satisfied, only tells 8 people and because it's not an outlandish tale, it dies between the second and third group. Bad PR burns bright and long, good PR burns dimly in comparison and has a short half life. That's the nature of Public Relation and Customer Satisfaction. Right now, you have a hellish fire of a conflagration PR for this game, BioWare, and EA. I see it on Twitter, Reddit, Twitch, and the other social media platforms. The question is, are you willing to do what is necessary and right to put this fire out? Staying the course believing this can be fixed, knowing the major issues "some" players are having, will lead to even greater problems for everyone involved in this update. Worse for the players who have spent thousands and thousands of dollars in support over the last ten years. Finally, what you've done with 7.0 is what was done to SWG with NGE. That game died. Is this what you want for SWTOR? I most certainly hope not.
  8. I had it with my Deception Assassin and Spinning Kick for the Infiltration Shadow. Because they gut the living hell out of these specs, I was forced to turn them both into tanks. Thank a lot Keith and company. You f'd up a spec I've played for years all because of your Nightmare of a Future Vision for this game!
  9. You know what they say, "Wish on one hand, and crap on the other. See which one fills up." Kieth, based on his damage control post from Friday, not likely going to change anything. I believe they are all in with 7.0 no matter how much they loose monetarily or subscribers or losses in the CM. This is what they wanted with 6.0 and back away from. Now, they "damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead." A breaking point is fast approaching, they'll either relent and revert back to most of 6.0 and leave only the story and possibly Combat Styles, or they're going to see this through to the end when the game is shut down because its operating in the red. You know what the definition of insanity is right? Well, we're seeing that play out right now, right here with them sticking with 7.0 believing that only "a few are having issues." Right....
  10. I cannot agree more. Legendary implants are anything but legendary. They do nothing to truly help the tank out with their abilities or powers (active or passive) as we had with 5.0 and 6.0. These do nothing to help the tank defending the party either. Just another nerf to tanking making them weaker and less reliable so everything is slowed down and party wipes. Cold calculated things these developers have done. They have absolutely turned tanks into poor excuse for dps with all the defense abilities removed and made a choice. The have fundamentally changed tanking into something you'd find in ESO or other games that do not have their combat mechanics built around the Triad. I guess this is Kieth's version of the Future Vision of this game. A bloody freaking nightmare. He and his crew should be fired for desecrating the game as they have. Future Vision...my Lilly white backside!
  11. Trend analysis will give you the true answer based on the information from the poster you quoted. I don't have to do the math to see that players on Steam is trending down. This is based on 20 days from Feb 14 through March 6. I was taught this while working on my MBA. Subsequently, I taught it to my students in my Operations Management course. Over a 20 day period, 8,438 players stopped logging into and playing the game. To break it down by weeks end after 2/20: 3,380 players stopped logging in. The week ending on 3/6: an additional 5,058 players stopped playing. for a total of 8,438 players no longer playing. This represents 44% drop of individuals playing the game via Steam in 20 days. That is a significant drop, in truth, devastatingly so. We do not have those stats for the game via the platform we use. However, one can surmise if Steam is experiencing this, the game is experiencing something very similar regarding a number of individuals not playing anymore or at least, no longer logging in. This doesn't even address the number of subscribers who have left cancelling their subscriptions either. One can surmise (make an educated guess) the game outside of Steam is experiencing similar percentages of those not logging in to play the game. Thus, we have Kieth doing his damage control post late Friday, adding credence to this in my opinion. While we only see here, on Reddit, Twitter, and in-game those announcing they've unsubscribed, we don't see those who don't say anything but quietly do the same. And I believe that number is quite large if I look back at what happened with the monstrous nerf to Sage / Sorcerers when 1.2 dropped. I believe Kieth and company thought his "what, why, when, and how" damage control post was going to stem the tide. We can see now that it is having the opposite effect by the responses from most of the those who responded with long posts of their own in reply. If they (Kieth and crew) don't do something drastic to change this, not standing firm on their ground saying, "this is the future," more along the line, "we apologize, we thought this was a positive direction for the game reverting somethings that were present in 6.0," I believe it will get even worse until it equalizes. This happened after 1.2 when 1.5 million subscribers quit out of disgust. We do not have the luxury of that many subscribers nor waiting for it to equalize either. I suspect Kieth and company will have to do something to fix this or we'll see some drastic changes to the staff and maybe a complete change over to a real Free-2-pay model that solely relies on the Cartel Market and/or selling primary time (like Blade & Soul) to keep financially solvent. I hope I'm wrong, however, the amount of negative responses everywhere and metrics just from Steam doesn't bode well at all.
  12. Okay, I logged in on my second Immortal Jugg. He's my current main since my original Immortal Jugg is permanently bug locked as a Darkness Assassin. Anyway, I went to Taris picked up the weekly and 4 missions required. I started out with the Tarisian Pirates H2. I forgot to start recording, but did after I killed the first boss on the left of the map. I found this heroic to be challenging but not a harrowing experience. The video will show you the results of the remaining 2/3rds of this heroic. I didn't have to use my two main DCs. I did use my Force Scream whenever up, Reflect in conjunction with my AoE taunt. A couple times, at the beginning (not recorded) my HP dipped down to 60% but never went below. This happened when I took on the two mobs at the cross hallway (right and left side). Jaesa was able to heal me full and fight too.
  13. I've not started a new warrior class in a while, however: I distinctly remember getting 2 Sith Warblades for my Marauder.
  14. Belts and bracers where they do not change our acc, crit, or alcrity if you have it. What they've done is a calculated move on their part. They purposefully designed this to hinder, not buff, the players. Furthermore, they made them incredibly expensive. 6,500 tech frags? Really? They're not worth more than the cost of 6.0 armor, less actually. They should cost 2,000 tech frags on top of the egregious amount of other cost requirements. I'm thinking about removing mine since they are useless beyond what they do to my stats and pitiful bonuses. They most certainly don't help my tank defend the team or enhance any ability I have. Clearly, Kieth's vision for the future of this game is a nightmare for the players. Maybe, just maybe, they'll change their toon when 50% of the subscriber base tells them all the pack sand and walks away with half of their long term income walking out the door. Cartel Market certainly isn't going to keep them afloat. Short term income cannot cover the cost of operations, only long term can do that.
  15. I'm sorry to hear this. I hate to see you go; however, I fully understand why. I'll try to run that specific 'Fallen Stars' H2 if that's the one I believe you're talking about on my Jedi Guardian to see how it goes. If I remember, I'll try to record it and put it up on my YT.
  16. With my Jugg or Guardian tanks, I've found that when I use a melee companion set on heals, they stay close and are able to fight and heal with no issues. Mind you, most all my companions are level 50 too. I am able to go through Black Hole with them and not worry about losing them or dying myself. Even on Oricon with my Commando, I was able to defeat the 3 champions for that H2, we all know how difficult that can be in that area. Using range healers I've noticed they lack the consistency of the melee healers and why I switched to them for my melee characters.
  17. They all look like Pre-Republic/Sith Empire welfare weapons pulled from a junk pile, refurbished and sold on the black market as 'new and improved' weapons for the poor and downtrodden wanna be warriors of old!
  18. Look, if you want to play round robin, jump on a merry-go-round. I'm way to old to play those type of discussion games. You're deflection is duly noted. You cannot stand to have your version of the truth challenged. You cannot handle it. I get it. That happens as I said in my previous post as to what causes that. Once you admit to that, life as you know will become happier and brighter for you. Good luck.
  19. I see. I see that you cannot see the truth. You're allowing Cognitive Dissonance blind you from the truth, the real truth, not which that you perceive is the truth. Since you ignored the truth of the nerf of companions in 4.1 (my mistake, it was 4.1, not 5.0, that they nerfed them massively.) You can read it from Michael Backus own words and what they did to correct their horrendous mistake. Now if you cannot accept this as truth, then nothing will change your mind. **I see you're rereading your own diatribes.
  20. Quantify that statement with verifiable data you have access too. I know with certainty that the metric data provided by Steam on how a game is trending with players is looked at by the developers. Just as they view their on metric data for their own game used as comparative analysis. Only an individual who knows very little about this subject would profess that an independent tool like that which Steam provides as "garbage data." If you know the facts of this, then as I stated above, quantify your statement with validated and verifiable data. Otherwise, you're spouting opinion based on subjective views and most certainly nothing near being objective. You're doing nothing but trolling people in an attempt to gaslight them. Stop.
  21. Wrong. Dead wrong. 5.0 the companions were nerfed by 75% causing such an uproar they were forced to change to the amount WE strongly recommend they nerf it to, 25%. That's what they did a short week later. The companions have been at that level ever since. We all knew the companions were stronger than they should've been and recommended the 25% nerf to bring them in line. They REFUSED to listen to us. They paid for doing so then and they are paying for doing so now. I'm here to play a game, not work a damned second job. If I have to slog through another game like Blade & Soul I'll burn every bridge I have to this game and nuke my account. But that would be okay with you the lead white hat of the group. It's happening now and I'm guess that they've lost 25% of the subscription players already. That's what happened with 5.0 and the companion nerf. Thus the reason Kieth made his "statement" for damage control and failed spectacularly. You'll soon find yourself looking for players wondering where they all went. History repeats itself when those who fail to study the past repeat it ad nauseum.
  22. While those are an issue, I believe the real issue that these so called "set bonuses" they give us are really nothing but buffs to stats and nothing like what the past set bonuses were before 7.0. They don't do anything to enhance our abilities or powers active or passive. They are, in my opinion, a nerf to characters by departing from the original intent and game design that set bonuses were meant to be. This is just another tenet of game developing where core game mechanics should never be altered. And this is exactly what the developers of this game done. They mutated the core mechanics into something that have fundamental altered the core game mechanics. All should be fired for doing this for Kieth's NEW & IMPROVED vision of the future.
  23. You're not supposed to change factions, only combat styles. Now there is a bug that this happens with though. You're literally left in limbo as to what you can and cannot do. However, I have a light side Assassin I want to change to a Shadow as my secondary style. I will do so. I have a Merc primary with commando seconday (A Mando Commando!). Yet, I'm still in the Empire.
  24. Then if they are broke as you say before 7.0 why did you run with them? Or did you have them to use their over powered abilities to help you complete your tasks faster? Quite a problem wouldn't you say? So, those who don't have their companions at lvl 50 are now suffering because of this nerf. And you want them to suffer because your subjective view of companions. Your opinion is subjective because other players disagree with you with their own subjective views/opinions. And if BW agrees with you; how many more players will walk away? All the while you're smug remarks follow them out the door, finding yourself waiting long minutes in the queue to complete these new over-tuned FPs or Heroics to complete. Don't say it won't happen, because that's exactly what happened days after 1.2 was dropped in March of 2013.
  25. Keith, are you going to fix the bug that has my 10 y/o Immortal Jugg locked out of his primary and locked into his secondary (Darkness Assassin)? Secondly, a new bug "not receiving guild conquest rewards" even when personal conquest is completed and annotated in the guild logs. Right now, I'm sidelining all my characters from participating in Conquest because of this bug unless I'm doing the 'Legendary Implant Technology Mission.' Conversely, I am putting aside my Immortal Jugg...Darkness Assassin until the issue with Combat Styles is fix. Furthermore, I won't be using Combat Styles until I am assured that this bug is fixed permanently. So, will these be addressed in 7.0.1 or not?
