  1. This should be a clear violation against ToS and the EULA. I do hope that someone puts together factual undeniable evidence of this happening. Then give it to BW and see if they will act or dismiss it. In my opinion, it will be the latter. Just like Team Blood Lust/NCSoft did when it was given to them. Then you will know that BW approves of this as they are benefiting from it because real money is involved. This is one thing that Square Enix acts on with impunity. They delete accounts, including accounts that have been around since 2.0 originally launched (ARR). It will also reveal the corruption in the company too.
  2. It's called discriminatory practices BioWare is employing in their game. It was this horse scat that forced me to quit after 6.0. Same bovine excrement. It would appear that the developers (especially those who have their own raid guilds in the game) cater to these one percenters with modable gear and the rest of us get stuck with the scat gear. Green from conquest? Blues from Flash Points and other Ops NOT NIM? You'd think after the uproar they caused with 6.0 they'd NOT pull this elitist stunt again. I have 306 gear on a number of my characters. I refuse to put them inferior green gear. I'll pass that around to those who can wear them. The others, who will not have access to modable gear, I'll delete them. If players cannot accept this, too damned bad. It is plain as day that the developers of this game are elitist catering biased people. They need to stop this damned nonsense. This is what Square Enix has 24 million active subscribers playing FFXIV. Square Enix does not gate gear. They make it available to everyone, they do not differentiate between casuals or hardcore players. That is exactly what these developers here do. This is one cardinal sin no business should ever do. And BW has committed this, going all in with this new gearing system. It is discrimination against non-NIM raid players.
  3. The solution is simple. Make the highest rated armor available to all players through flash points and Operations regardless of rating where tokens are earned to get the gear. This is highly effective in FFXIV where you get 515 gear and when you go from from regular to hard to extreme, you earn special tokens that allow you to exchange said gear to higher rated level. Players can gear up completely in a couple weeks to second highest rated 525 (until Endwalker launched). Then they were geared for highest dungeons in the game. It is a fair and balanced system that rewards players for participating. Not limited to those who do Extreme (NIM) dungeons or 8 to 24 man Savage raid/trials. The latter dungeons drop 535 gear available to all who are geared for these with 525 & Relic weapons (if they achieved them). Here in SWTOR, no one is going to take an under-geared player into a NIM Op regardless even if they know the mechanics like the back of their hand. This might happen with clan members, but PuGs? Not a chance. All everyone focuses on gear check for the "Gear Rating Level." One could have the highest available gear and still not know how to fight a NIM dungeon, it is players like this who've been carried through or paid for the opportunity to get said gear. It happens in Blade & Soul, and I'm sure it happens in this game. These kind of Ops/Raids/Trials always breed the opportunity for players to earn monies for themselves or guild/clans. It's the nature of the beast.
  4. I just logged into the game and the launcher stated Feb 15, 2022.
  5. You and I are in the same boat. I am glad they've followed SE lead (if that's what they did) for delaying. I know FFXIV issue isn't so much as the game as it is how many people are playing it. I cannot login into Aether/Adamantoise because of the error code 2002. 17,000 players on maximum limit in the login server. While it is maddening, it means one thing to me...that game is alive and healthy supporting that it has 24 million subscribers! Anyway, I'm returning after a year off (which I was playing FFXIV and still am). I've spent the last 2 weeks relearning and getting my muscle memory for abilities back into shape. And trying to play catch up with my main on the main stories I've missed. So, I feel your frustrations; however, it's good in the sense that we're not getting an broken update like the past few years were delivered to us.
  6. I for one am very appreciative that y'all decided to delay until the devs felt it was ready. Going on the past years when expansion were released at this time of the year...disasters with all kinds of problems and no one to around to fix them. This is a breath of fresh air. While many will bad mouth y'all doing so, those of us who can see the reasons for what they are. This is what SE did with Endwalker delaying it for nearly a month. They felt it needed some fine tuning. Thank you Keith and crew for not releasing something that may have ended up like past updates. This renews my faith in developers wanting to ensure quality over rushing a product when it is questionable for being ready.
  7. Is this just for DPS Juggs and Marauders? Or it includes DPS Knights and Sentinels too?
  8. Thanks. Firefox spell check nailed me when it showed it misspelled. I've corrected it.
  9. Come on now, it's not that bad! I've played FFXIV for almost 2 years, the last year solid play time. However, I will concede that there is a faction of individuals that are near zealots about the game. An example of that would be those who harassed Azmongold when he came over to play FFXIV. That's a small, very small minority of the player base. Of all the games I've played online, FFXIV is the finest in terms good interaction with other players. Most are very helpful with new players, even in dungeons. I've never witnessed players quitting one when a new player is part of the party. As for bad mouthing the game, you should check out FFXIV reddit. You can see things there that you won't on the forums. Most game forums are like what you describe, even here. All in all, FFXIV is has a superb community and an awesome game.
  10. While Imperius is awesome, there's one that I don't believe many try to become, Darth Occlus. I have all three named titles. Occlus is my favorite because I can play both sides or against them. Occlus, the Sith version of the Gray Jedi.
  11. In my opinion, 'Risk' is the wrong terminology that they used. From my personal experience and playing in numerous MMOs' Raids and/or Ops, is summed up in two simple words: "Challenge and Rewards." I spent the last year playing FFXIV (and still do) where we played in numerous dungeon types, from story mode to Extreme (equivalent of Nightmare). These were 4 to 8 player teams depending on the type dungeon. When raid dungeon, that's where the fun really happens with 24 players divided up into 3 teams of 8. They introduced a new mode, Savage. The most challenging level for raids (Ops). The rewards are scaled by the type dungeon, Story, Hard, Extreme, and Savage. In end game, you can run a complete story raid (in savage mode) and obtain max level gear. If you don't get everything, you can do it again with or without your Free Company (that is if you're part of one). Instead of month, you can max out in a week. And there are special dungeons that have specific gear for the player's Class/Job. Which all players get. BTW, FFXIV raid/dungeon mindset is totally different from SWTOR, Neverwinter, and others I've had the pleasure to participate in. So, I believe the best description for playing Raids/Ops in all levels is for the challenge and rewards. This does not preclude the social interaction and camaraderie either. Those all go hand-in-hand.
  12. Redoubt augments focus primarily on the Defense Rating attribute with a secondary focus on Endurance. In truth, they're not very good. They've been ignored for a very long time. Tanks, real tanks, not DPS tanks (Skank Tanks), should use Shield and Absorb augments. I use 7 of each, but that's my personal preference. The non-lettered tank mods give you more than enough defense if you choose to use them.
  13. Keep it. When you return you'll wish you'd still had it. While mine is not as extensively invested in as yours is, I refuse to sell it so when I do come back and play (if I do), I have it. BTW, with all the time, effort, and money spent on your guild no amount of credits can compensate for that. Keep it. Your home will be waiting for you when you return to play.
  14. Is your PayPal associated with either a checking or savings account? If it is with your checking account, do you have a debit/visa or debit/mastercard? You can use either one of those as your "credit card" to subscribe. It does the same thing as PayPal in regard to paying the subscription.
  15. The majority of the content involving the main story is.
  16. No sure if everyone knows this. For the codex entry for 'Womp Rat," you kill the Corpse-Eater, just outside the cave entrance/exit heading out to the Dune Sea next to the crashed starship where the Jawa and Sand People are loitering around. This link will tell you how best to get the Womp Rat fever.
  17. I agree with you; however, they're starting to look tired in my opinion. Especially when playing other games like GW2 or ESO. Both are older games too, yet they still look fresh.
  18. For the sake and longevity of the game, I hope so. Personally? I abhor steam. I won't use it for anything including my beloved Civ games.
  19. You're missing an important component. "Display Capture." In Sources area, you need to click on the add '+' then under the standard list, click on 'Display Capture.' Then click 'add source' to put in your Sources. To make it work properly, you must move it down to the bottom of the list. Everything else will appear in the screen viewer in OBS and in your channel. Nothing should be below 'Display Capture.' If you have any other questions, feel free to contact me here or via PMs on my channel in my signature.
  20. Trixxie, I know you don't want to do this; however, maybe this is the best solution and remedy. It takes about 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your connection. However, once you do so, logging in a far improved and I've yet to have any issues with the game since. I know you love the game so it might be the solution to rid yourself of BitRaider once and for all. Heads up, you'll need to actually remove the bitraider file folder from the game and not uninstall Bitraider program using Windows. I learned that the hard way!
  21. I completely agree. However, I found that if you move the bar atop of the chat window (that open space) it fits there perfectly. Then use the drop down button to close it and it causes no more issues. Mine stays where its at even after logging back in. I don't like it at all. So this is the best thing to do to make it go away. And if you open your editor you'll see all kinds of windows. Some of them are new like conversation windows and associated windows. Click on each one, slide the slide to where it is very small then hit click on the button to not show and stack them together with all the other ones you don't use or want to use. When they are red, they cannot be seen again. Out of sight, out of mind.
  22. Actually, if you looked at Darth Malgus reborn helmet/mask (combined) it looks more like Vader's mask front wise. However, the Unrelenting Terror is very close overall. Now, combine that (UT helmet) with Malgus' reborn armor...that's as close as one can get IMO.
  23. Trixxie, what is even more telling is after 3 days of complaints concerning the "new UI" set up, BioWare crew have been absent and silent on the blow back. They put this in the game because they want it, regardless of the input from the players, especially those who expressed their dismay about these changes on the PTS. They want us to play the game how they want us to, not the way WE want too. Our opinions...do not matter. It's been this way since launch concerning things of this nature. The more things change the more they tend to stay the same.
  24. I'm trying hard not to see the visions this topic is trying to conjure up!
