  1. Mind as well go F2P, I'm sure a good chunk of the population just logs on once a week to raid anyway (OK I'm really just saying that with no factual basis other than a few people I know hehe); so what's the point of paying for the other roughly 27 days in a month when you're locked out of the content and maybe log in to send your companions on some missions. Anyways, I don't really like F2P games. But truthfully, SWTOR going F2P would only benefit because there would be an increased population. They would just have to have a nasty cash shop to keep raking in the money. If SWTOR ever does go F2P, you can be sure it'll be because of the PvP.
  2. Hehe edit my own post cause I didn't like it.
  3. Well I suppose as far as level goes, maybe 5 levels. As far as new abilities, I'd like ones that make Sorcs the badest guys around! Storm Shield- does aoe dmg, melee attacks get 50% of their damage reflected back to attacker, 100% dmg absorbed lasting 10 seconds, no CD, Storm Shield Debuff lasts 30 seconds can't be affected by another one (seperate from Static Barrier). Force Lightning Storm- double damage, 50% aoe damage , same channel time and CD as Force Lightning Other super poweful stuff. YEAH BABY YEAH! Bring on the OPness, it should be our time to shine LOL!!
  4. LOL probably removed it so people don't know anymore who's holding up the spacebaring speed group by waiting out the full time duration before choosing a dialogue option. Ok I don't know why it's gone, they probably broke it.
  5. I can understand where you are coming from. In Age of Conan it was very prevalent because there was collision detection, so you could have people on their mounts line up and virtually block a street off. However, I also can't understand how people are having this trouble. I can click right through players to get to stuff, INCLUDING clicking through people and their big cars on the Imp. Fleet to use the tiny small elevator buttons to go between levels. So I am going to have to say if that is possible, then clicking on a vendor should be easier.
  6. It would nicer if along with light/standard/etc BioWare would also have a column that specifically says how many people are loged in. Mythic had the specific numbers on DAoC's homepage for each server, and listed when you log in also I think, it wouldn't be hard for BioWare to do the same thing; and it's not private trade secret information BioWare couldn't give us either, plays like to know these things.
  7. Lying ---- Sith Sorcerer ---- 2,502 AND 2,858 DPS----Dark Reaper-US Come again? I call Bull #$%^.
  8. In my book Rakata Medpack and poping cooldowns don't count. If that's the case I would like to see a Juggernaut stack nothing but max Endurance on everything, use an Exotech Endurance stim, use a Rakata Medpack, then pop Endure Pain (30% HP buff)..... he'll probably push 35K.
  9. ^ This. It's kind of silly how a Sorc, a class fully centered around the Force, can have weaker Force powers than a Tanksin (AKA Shock/Force Lightning). Our bubble can get eaten up in 1 to 2 hits then we've got no defense. Force Speed is kind of laughable, it's only good if you've got things to hide behind otherwise someone like a Marauder will just Force Leap back to you. All of our 3 dots can be purged off by half the classes out there and our DPS just drops. My main is a Sorc, and I do like the class, but our DPS isn't at the same level as a Marauder/Sniper/Merc. I would like a little love.
  10. I don't play an Assassin, but I do know Deception Sins can put out some crazy DPS; at least a guy in my guild can. As far as tanking, if their survivability and what not is being brought in line with others than all the better; especially with the armor debuff stacking change coming.
  11. SWTOR is not going F2P so people can stop worrying. The ONLY thing that will be F2P is lvl 1-15, essentially just a free trial; which a number of MMO's have done.
  12. I'm fine with what they are doing, especially in nerfing Assassin/Shadow tanking down to the level of the others. I would be even more fine if, for example, for Juggernauts they would make Sundering Assault (the armor debuff) have a high threat value attached to it like Backhand. But coming from DAOC I like the idea of a tank having an attack ability that they can essentially spam that generates a lot of threat.
  13. What do you want? BioWare to give you 20 chars per server because you like playing so many alts? Honestly it's not BioWare's fault you can't have all your 17 chars on one server, you can't have everything. 8 characters per server is pretty darn generous especially considering an 8 char limit allows you to cover all advanced classes FOR ONE FACTION. It would be better if BioWare increased it to 16 characters per server, but restricted to 8 per faction. That I would so love to see.
  14. Sure, you can do that. You can strip the mods out of a Rakata piece and stick them in a Battlemaster piece to get the Battlemaster bonus, it's expensive though so plan it out (roughly 33k per mod/100k per piece). All though that cost is reduced because going from a Rakata piece to a BM (ex: Mystic to Mystic) the Mod and Enhancements are exactly the same, Expertise aside, so the only thing you have to switch is the Armoring. But yeah, if you really wanted you could be using your 4 piece BM bonus in PvE; or half and half.
  15. Actually taking another look at my Sorc I would like Will of the Sith to be a 3 point skill that gives 9% Willpower like what Sniper's and Merc's can get.
  16. It's not much of a game changer currently. But you can be sure that if Parasitism was made to every tick so you're getting 340 HP back nearly every second from all 3 dots on a target (not to mention tab targeting and casting Affliction on everyone netting you even more HP back) and constantly having your dots up, more people would certainly spec full Madness and it would be a pretty win spec even with it's current DPS output. Of course I guess purge kind of negates that, so BioWare will also add a tier 6 (row 6, whatever you accurately call it) ability off of Creeping Death that makes dots unpurgable. Oh man that would be so much fun. I mean that's not too much to ask for right?
  17. It's my dream to see BioWare change Parasitism from critical hits only to every damage tick, that would make me a very happy Sorc as far as PvP goes. Too much? Probably, but so what! We need a little more survivability anyway.
  18. I partly disagree; the other part really just doesn't like parsers period but anyways. I think they could be a solid source of information if people could come to an agreement on what a "base" test is, like saying a base test is Rakata Implants/Earpiece and Columi gear (cause they are both easy to get) for everything else, and only using your own class buff; also mentioning the specific pieces (vendor bought original unmodded). From there you can go modifying your gear however you want, and report it, and see how your dps is thus affected. Then of course there is doing the test itself and the issues with that. The dummy on your ship is probably the best place, I think, to do it because I have always thought the point of parsing out your dps is to find what you yourself are capable of and you can repeatedly do it without a restriction of 2 times a week on raid bosses. Doing it on your ship negates any outside "interference", friendly or otherwise, which is what you are hoping to find; your base dps. That of course leads to two other issues, friendly and unfriendly. Friendly interference will of course increase your dps with armor debuffs and other buffs from classes like Marauders, but unless you're trying to find out the absolute max dps you can possibly put out friendly interference isn't essential to parse out. Unfriendly interference I believe has more of an affect on dps parsing, namely because doing dummy parsing you aren't moving and there isn't a single boss in a raid where you are free to simply stand still; so that constant moving around will lower your dps. All though friendly/unfriendly interference probably even out somewhat, but that's just a guess. Anyways, there's a little more I could probably say but I prefer keeping things somewhat short. That's just my 2 cents, I think they could be good if there was some sort of standard instead of blind posts of my build is x/y/z and I got 1500 dps. This is just like the scientific method, if your results can't be reproduced then don't bother posting them.
  19. Actually the Sith Inquisitor gets the lowest total amount of DS/LS points of all the classes beginning on their Origin world (atleast as far as SI, SW, and IA..... BH I don't remember). It does seem pretty unfair when a Sith Warrior can leave Korriban at lvl 10 with DS1 but a SI will only have a total of 500-600 (I don't remember the number).
  20. Yeah, we used to have the best healing, we had our niche; not anymore though. Our DPS has always been the lowest between snipers, mercs, marauders, and assassins. The only reason we can crunch out 400k+ damage in warzones is because of affliction and our aoes, not that we are hitting like Superman. Now in 1.2 it's even worse for us. Since my DPS in 1.2 is going to suck worse than now, I might try a hybrid of healing and madness and try going more of a dmg/support route. Atleast I'll be able to heal decently well.
  21. Well it would make sense for them to be across all tiers so people can take mods out of tier 3 armor and put them in armor they like. On the other hand in the game update 1.2 trailer BW made at the very end it says "extractable tier 2 mods", so you can take that however you like.
  22. Hmm, things to think about. Thank you.
  23. Cool, thanks Daellia. My final question would have to be specifically about which PvP set to get, Force Master or Stalker. For PvE I've been choosing a mixture somewhat (I know Force Master is the DPS one but I really don't like the 4 piece bonus so if a Mystic or Stalker has more Willpower I've been going for it, probably not the best but I'm fine with it for now). But back to PvP Master or Stalker. I looked at both stats for each set and added all the numbers up (everything is BM EXCEPT the weapon which I didn't include because there is only 1 anyway) and assuming I didn't make a mistake anywhere I got..... ***NOTE***........................ remember, no BM weapon included Master............... Stalker End: 949............ End: 961 Will: 892............ Will: 901 Crit: 461............ Crit: 397 Surge: 153......... Surge: 153 Power: 107......... Power: 151 Alac: 306........... Alac: 0 Acc: 0................ Acc: 306 So, Acc has 0 affect and Alac has almost 0 affect (since as a Sorc DPS hybrid only two abilities are ever getting a "cast time", or channel rather). Wouldn't going the Stalker set route not impart somewhat of a bigger advantage to you from having higher End/Will/Power while also giving the 4 piece bonus of one additional Recklesness charge and 15 second CD reduction? Because that additional Recklessness charge is pretty enticing as opposed to the Master's 2 piece bonus of Crushing Darkness 1.5 sec CD reduction and 0.5 % life tap.
  24. Nice write up, I like it. But I have a question or two. I am a 0/13/28 DPS Sorcerer (similar to your link but a few different points in Lightning), and upon reaching Battlemaster I've been racking my brain over which BM set to get; either the Force Master or Stalker set. So my first question is........ 1) Which is better, Alacrity or Accuracy? As a DPS hybrid Sorc my dmg is centered around getting things to insta cast, and the only ability I will be casting that isn't insta cast is Force Lightning (aside from the occasional Force Storm). As Alacrity isn't really helping much, it makes me wonder about Accuracy then. Accuracy over 100% says it reduces the targets resistence, but is it just restricted to force and tech? Expertise increases damage reduction from players, so Accuracy doesn't help undo that? I've got a bunch of BM commendations that I don't want to spend untill I am 100% sure of things. And my other question is.... 2) For trying to get the most DPS in PvP, 2x BM relics OR 1 BM relic and 1 Energy Surge Device? Energy Surge Device you get from Karagga's Palace hard mode and it gives +77 End and has a 30% chance to proc 224 (I think) energy damage every 4.5 seconds. I know ppl that have this and they all say that when it procs from an AoE it's applied to all targets and the proc can also crit to all targets. So would taking ESD and losing 51 Expertise lower DPS or increase it in PvP?
  25. Hehe if that were the case then the PvP speeder that requires VR 65 (Valor Rank) would never be attainable.
