    Inc West 3

You know what would help? Macros. Like if I type /hw 3, it sends out over ops chat "HELP INCOMING WEST - 3 spotted". I would spam that 3-4 times in. A row to make sure it's seen. In the good old MUD days, I would throw I a few ANSI characters so the HELP is magenta and blinking too. Oh why has technology gone backwards?
  2. I think it makes sense depending on team composition. If I'm on my very geared sentinel, but the rest of my pug team is mostly getting beat up.... Upon respawn I may head for the third node, knowing with my burst I can quickly take most classes + players 1v1, and at least 50/50 vs a mediocre 1v2. But it pisses me off to no end when a mediocre gunslinger, commando, or sage thinks they can sneak up / solo a defender. You won't get it quickly enough to beat the defenders coming back, and we could REALLY you as a meat shield at the current contested node.
  3. Patch notes say Zen is redesigned such that GCD will be dropped... what about the force cost reduction? Is that still here?
  4. I must say, this is a good read. I thought I knew everything there was to know about this map, but still picked up a few nice tips here. Two thumbs up. Can we have some remedial lessons as well? Not just rated tactics, but pug level stuff... for example, getting used to watching the minimap at all times on D. Marking solo defenders while on d, so I can see quickly who's HP is dropping from the objective frame without waiting for an inc call (which may never come).
  5. Who got the bridge down first?
  6. If its lowbies, forget about it. If its 50+, you have to lead from the front. If you're a dominant player you'll get attention. If you're a mediocre recruit, you'll get ignored even if you are the next coming of Alexander.
  7. Did we ever decide on multiple toons? Junzi the sentinel is in, but I wouldn't mind entering my commando and op too... just because.
  8. Yep, able to get in now. Problem was most likely related to security key, but must be fixed now.
  9. I really suspect it's the security key. Can SWTOR just disable the whole thing?
  10. For people who say dnsflush works... are any of you using the security key? dnsflush did *not* work for me, but I am using the security key... and I'm wondering if thats the case.
  11. If you want to grind reputation points, then you earn it. It's not my job to accommodate you. Do you also complain when Bioware makes your PVE dailies "too hard"?
  12. The guild issue is annoying as heck. We have NOT been able to target/attack guild members in other groups, even though we wanted to (were willing to). We had incredibly obnoxious fights yesterday, where our mixed groups (guildies/non-guildies) would have confusing fights where we could hit some of them, and they could hit some of us... but not all. Bad situation. Get rid of the guild = green affiliation.
  13. And no, I'm not referring to the ones who "gank" people. Look, if you're intentionally in a PVP zone, and/or if you're flagged PVP... you're asking for it, period. If you're not grouped wiht me, then you're asking for a fight. I'm not stealing your PVE mobs, I'm not sending you nasty messages, I'm not trying to ruin your experience. I'm playing the game the way it is designed, period. You might as well ask me why I try to take your queen when you're sitting on the other side of a chessboard. I'm referring to all the other PVP'ers who now, all of a sudden, decided they don't want PVP fights... but just want to "get their quests done". I grouped up with a couple guildies who I regularly WZ with. All of a sudden, all they want to do is live in peace with others and stand in line for the turret? I say, F THAT. I have been asking for open world PVP for MONTHS. And I'm here to kill stuff, period. QUITE SIMPLY: IF YOU DON'T WANT TO FIGHT OTHER PLAYERS, STAY OUT OF THE PVP ZONE. PERIOD!

    Griefers on Ilum

Why do I jump on random red names? If you're in a PVP zone, and/or if you're flagged PVP, then I assume you're here for PVP. I assume you enjoy PVP as much as I enjoy PVP. If that assumption is wrong, then stay the heck out of the PVP zone.
  15. Sweet! Makes me wish I was on a pvp server as well. Sounds more like Outlaws Den then old Ilum, since we form up groups of 4. I foresee a lot of PVE people complaining they are "forced" into it.
  16. I would argue its pretty even. Many of us have toons on both factions and can verify that's the case. In terms of pvp, there is clearly a skill/gear disparity between different times of day.... but in terms of population numbers, very similar across both.
  17. Right on, I'm game. Can we enter two toons? Put us in different sides of the bracket! Junzi is in no matter what, and Buxi can be the sacrificial lamb if we allow multiples.
  18. ... because holy crap, who remembers the dev tracker looking like this: http://www.swtor.com/community/forumdisplay.php?f=304
  19. Actually, sorc bubbles made me spec into smash... it's not a good counter. I had originally been combat sentinel exclusively... but dealing primarily single target damage, I'd find myself constantly stunned before dealing much pain. As smash, I can pop multiple bubbles at once; even if I'm stunned, I will be bal and ready to smash again before you can put bubbles back up. A couple smashes and you're dead.
  20. No wonder they aren't working on class balance issues... Everything will change with the expansion anyways. Imagine if they gave commandos a way to cleanse singularity off of smash...
  21. Anyone else having issues with force leap on this map? Not so much at mid, but in the plains / by pylons. I will often have someone in range and (apparent) LOS... But force leap doesn't fire. Just wondering if anyone else has seen similar issues.
  22. Commando does need to dump some accuracy for surge. But standard gear wasn't bad.... since we don't have auto-crit you need some crit too. By contrast, sentinel is all about dumping crit for as much power as possible.
  23. I am/was one of the best combat sentinel on my server, breaking 600 dps single-target while pugging. But I've also switched to focus on some maps, because it's simply impossible not to. We are talking a 150-200 increase in DPS, not to mention bigger burst + utility in fighting guarded healers. IMO, focus is clearly OP. There were constant complaints about sentinels even before 1.4... And now you boosted my damage by 30%?
  24. I use tab targeting for enemies and the \ key for allies. Very rare that it doesn't work for me the way I intend, although can be frustrating in huttball at times. I'm one of those healers who doesn't usually use the ops frame. Just \ through my screen looking for low HP targets.
