  1. I'd offer ours, but we have hoops to jump through, and though we've been around since before launch, we're small (roughly 15 active members plus alts). We have an application and interview process to weed out drama-makers and whiners. It's left us with a small group, but we're like family. Quality over quantity. We're casual players who put real life and our jobs and family first. If you RP and are willing to jump hoops for a small, but drama-free and dedicated guild, then look us up- Order of the Raven's Eye
  2. My experience with WoW was the free self-heal was near-useless and not worth speccing into. Here, we'll have to wait and see, but my other complaint about it is it's just what I need, yet ANOTHER ability on my already full hotbars. /sigh In addition, Overload does give at least split-second respite while your enemies go flying and have to recollect themselves, physically and mentally. While they're flying, they're not adding to the stuns or damage, which can be significant. a self-heal doesn't affect them at all and they can just stand there or continue chasing you and beating on you. As a healer, I DO move, both in PvE and PvP. I expect to. I get fidgety when I don't. It's just going to take more time (assuming I survive that long) to clear stun, move out of a group, face them and hit Overload than to simply hit Overload then Force Speed. At that point, I might as well not use it and just hit Force Speed and bolt and pray. As for Huttball and fire, I can already toss people into it if I line up properly, which I'll have to do with the change anyway. Again, it's all wait-and-see, but that self-heal's going to have to be serious for me to be happy about the Overload nerf. Edit- As for Force Speed's snare removal, I think what some people are missing is that it's a specced thing, NOT automatic. I'm not currently specced into it, but it will be something I'll look into once 1.4 drops.
  3. As a Sorc healer, I have to say I HATE the Overload change and feel it is going to affect healer survivability negatively. I primarily use Overload in two situations in PvP. 1. I'm getting swarmed and stunned. Foes all around beating me and stunning me, I spam my Overload button til I break free of stun and can get it off. It gives me breathing room and a chance to survive. NOW, in the middle of a group of foes who are beating and stunning my ***, I will need to maneuver around, FACE them, and then hit Overload? The only GOOD news is I won't need to sit on another healer to give them room. 2. I'm running like hell with someone beating on my *** (I also do this in PVE). Now I'm going to have to turn around, run MORE SLOWLY backwards and blast them while I continue to take damage. I stuck it out through the Sorc healing nerf; I'll stick it out through this, but damn, healing in PvP pre-50 is rare as hell already; I can't imagine what it will be like after this. (I can't speak much for 50 lately since I haven't been PvPing there the past month or two, but I know we lost quite a few in the "Great Sorc Nerf of 2012").
  4. Fridays are terrible for my husband and I, but we'll let our guild mates and sister guild know.
  5. There's guilds out there. Order of the Raven's Eye on Sith side for one (shameless plug). We're waiting on the super-busy-Christmas-retail season to stop killing us so I can get our website up before we start seriously recruiting. If anyone's interested in the meantime, though, feel free to PM myself or Raniall. As I said, though, we likely won't be on much til Fridayish. x.x
  6. Hello! RPer here, as well, on both sides. We're getting familiar with the game, but do have a medium RP guild set up Sith side (and plan on making one Republic side, too ) Working on getting our website set up before we seriously hit recruiting, but hey, if people want to join, that's cool, just send myself or Raniall a PM and we'll gladly tell you more. My current characters- Sith- Erianni, Human Sith Sorcerer Miaiel, Human Sith Warrior Rynthir, Zabrak Powertech Bounty Hunter Republic- Ceilia, Human Jedi Sage Lillianae, Human Smuggler *Edited for updated character list!
  7. Hey Jeweled RP can be a lot of fun, if you can find a crowd that's right for you. I've been RPing in everything from oldschool tabletop RPGS (old THAC0 DnD!) to forums to live action to MMOs for over 15 years and I've seen everything from people very lightly RPing while goofing around OOCly as well, to hardcore RPers who actually RP the minutia of their characters' daily lives, including bathroom usage and writing full reports to superiors! Personally, I prefer a middle of the road style of RP; if I wanted a 2nd job, I'd get one that paid. Feel free to give me a hollar if you see me in game. I'll be glad to chat and RP and help you (or anyone else) out a bit.
  8. Erianni, level 11 Sith Inquisitor Rynthir, 12 Bounty Hunter Ceilia, 7 Jedi Consular And more alts to come, checking in. Husband and I are alting it up this weekend; we want to get all our characters off the starting worlds before official open launch and chaos ensuing!
