Only thing I was interested about was Imperial Loyalist for my Operative. I did buy the bow and the set as well but only because I found a nice deal for the extra tokens needed for everything.

The game worked fine for me both in the consumer preview and the release preview. Just the install saying something about not supporting the OS but still lets you continue.

No idea why this is happening to you, maybe something screwed up in your character, because on my light consular just the other day I got some dark points in Esseles, 250 or so I believe, and I recovered back the light side points no problems...
