  1. You got them all and it was well said. Damn, when game came out I have been on forums handful of times, since I was busy playing and enjoying Swtor quite much. And same when I came back for Kotfe, although I heard much criticism, I thought Bioaware has done a great job with the new story and heroics and all these new little things they have done to improve the game. Was pleased by Kotfe, except for linking pve to pvp via those certain pve points players gain by participating in wzs - there were 'half a team quits before the match starts' quite often. And bots in stealth or afk on sides. Now I came back for this new story which was good work by devs btw, last week or so, as a 2 months sub again. Galactic command would not bother me much if it was not connected to pvp. No point to it. If player like me is posting on forums saying, hey certain part of the game is messed up - pvp in this case, maybe there is some truth to it.... Anyways I do not expect what is done to pvp to change, so again same thing for me here - after 2 months sub runs out, another long break from swtor:cool:
  2. If you have not played KOTOR, which was an epic master piece of game development, they are selling it cheap these days. And you can mod it up before you start the play. Great story and will give you a better, and maybe unique understanding, then any answers you might get.
  3. You are in so many threads defending this korean galactic command grind . Are you payed for it or something? Players are stating what they do not like and that they will not be a part of it , simple as that. You can enjoy this new system, nobody is telling you otherwise. On my part - I will be out after sub is done, maybe come back to check in a year or two. You can have fun with your grind mate and you enjoy it as much as your heart desires:) Swtor pvp was one of the best in the industry. Great maps, great encounters and lot of good matches. Was.
  4. I think they figured out if heavy grind is brought into the game with that galactic command thing more people will be glued to the screens and subscribed, since without a sub there is no gc stuff. So more subs and income in their case. What is forgotten is that we are not in early and mid 2000s - mmo days have past as has the interest in them. Some come up, get busy for half a year or a year and quickly fall out with player base who goes on looking for something new. Few of the old games, or theme parks as swtor is, are kinda holding it up due to dedicated fan base - that is about it. Anyways, I am just passing by and leaving a record why I am not a yearly sub for quite some time now.... About gear and pvp, maybe they could try making all stats flat - no gear, no nothing just skill. There you go, pure pvp. And they get subs from time to time.
  5. Literally yes, they did not know how to hold a cap, just running as a group and playing a death match. Now your 'great gear' and 'superior skills' sarcasm aside, you do not see the change of dmg and kdr ratio atm in certain matches?
  6. In proper pvp skill determines wins, and if there is gear involved it is a bonus to a pvp player. And in pvp section pvp players complain about new grind monkey system, because it is a PVE type of activity. Get an upper hand, in pvp, as pve player by nothing but grind. PVE grind - no skill - scripted opponents - predictable outcomes. Boring af. There was a mass quit in 2012, and it is something it continues to happen, small waves or big waves since then. There are many other games out there to sub at. Hence swtor is as it is atm - I will say one last time, horrendous decisions for pvp with 5.0 onwards. p.s. in my case I came back for kotfe as a 2 months sub after a long break. Then as soon as I saw waves of pve campers/pve afks/pve bots grinding pve points in pvp I chose not to sub for a full year. So again, it seems same will happen.
  7. Yesterday in reg Alderaan, enemy team was all pve grinders. On average, we were dead within 10-30 seconds of each encounter and no heals on our side. We won due to their skill level which was beyond description. This new gearing system rewards a grind and makes pvp pointless - where is the skill here? The only thing we can expect is slow minded opponent as was the case in the match mentioned. In any case, win or lose, we are getting face rolled like there is no tomorrow. I got no time, nor will to grind in a video game, I am not paying to waste my time by clicking crap and doing drone works. Pve players play pvp only for the damn pve gains points - remove those damn points. Disassociate pvp from pve completely. Return the normal gearing system and wz comms.
  8. So returning to something like comms grind for pvp gear, which in turn is not pvp gear but it is pve gear. Large amount players will play swtor for pvp and story lines as main interest. And pve players play pvp only for whatever 'magical points' they can gain from pvp. And as fair few, I have no interest of joining guilds and running operations and other pve stuff There was no need to mess with pvp gear system at all mister:mon_trap:
  9. I only pvp, not into raiding, how does this help my main and alts i do not know:eek:
  10. 3vs4 in ranked, (3 mercs + 1 sin, we were sent and two guards) - we won 2:0. What is the qq about, learn how to fight them - they only got 2 new heal abilities. And tons of wanna be op players are using them now, easy targets.
  11. Been here since the start, quit around time when f2p came out, came back when I heard about kotfe as a 2 months sub, then another break and came back for this new story as a 2 months sub again. This gearing system is one of the worst ideas they came out with. I pvp 90% of the time other activity is to support my pvp, got 8 alts that were all geared. Now I went 70 only with main via new story and do not pvp with it much - correction, I do not even play my main, am at around level 19 of that new rank system, do not care about it - korean grinding games are so early 2000s, been there done that.... There was no need for this 'RNG' thing at all - after this sub expires I am not sure there will be any reasons for me to come back, and from what I saw I am not the only one . Will mess around with my snipes a bit to hit 70, leave all other alts as they are, and that will be the end of my swtor. Was a good game, started well....

    Pvp events

How about having weekly tournament events where we can enroll for solo fights (1vs1) or for pre-made group fights (4vs4)? Enroll by paying a moderate fee on a certain day, draw a random selection of participants, and have tournaments on saturdays or sundays...1st,2nd and 3rd places will get rewards(commendations, stims, med packs or whatever). And have these tournaments in arenas like in the original Swkotor, allow spectators access as well - place the arena somewhere on Tatooine maybe. And possibly redo the Battle of Illum to have a weekly faction vs faction pvp event - winner owns Ilum area for a week and gains certain rewards during that time (discounts at vendors by 10%, skill buff or what not)? These events would be much fun and seeing that many people are into pvp there would no lack of interest.
  13. whoever designed them must have been high on something since everyone can notice this poor design - why would not designers use those armor mods that were done by community from SWTOR? there was tons of great looking armors in those. forgot the mod names or where they are on the net...
