  1. I'm happy to report everybody in our guild is happy and I've never seen bickering between them. Every member is modest, happy and we all agree that it wouldn't bother us if we had 100 friendly members compared to 500 that fight. Luckily, we got the better deal with the 500 friendly members!
  2. I'm sorry, which toon were you? We truly pride ourselves on friendliness, and the person that suggested we do Operations is still with us and doing them with us on a weekly basis. There are people who come and go from our guild, but every one of them has expressed a reason for leaving. I'm not sure what you'd have against us.
  3. The League of Shadows is recruiting and wants you to join! We're a casual, active, large guild, focused on helping each other out, having a chat, and optional Operations/Hard Mode Flashpoints plus Warzones/Flashpoints. A 5% Experience boost is given for being in the guild, two bank vaults are available for use by all packed filled with useful items and schematics, experienced players are always prepared to help, and we pay for all of your repairs and specialisation costs! We are open to absolutely anyone- just apply for an invite! Here you may apply to join either of our guilds. For the Imperials, The League of Shadows, which is our major guild, is the guild you will join, or for the Republic The League of Light which is our sister guild, still relatively active. In applying, it is more than likely the Guildmaster, Hezon, or his right hand, Vyxan, will approve your application and organise a time to invite you in game. For heaps more info, see our WEBSITE! To apply, contact Hezon or Vyxan in game or APPLY HERE. We recently reached 500 Members but are always cleaning out older players to make room, we hope to see you there!
  4. Hello fellow SWTOR players! Tonight on Dalborra both <The League of Light> and <The League of Shadows> had huge events of hide and seek and droid fights. While I'm not here to promote the guilds, I'm here to promote the idea. The newfound respect and liking for guildies who previously barely knew each other is absolutely incredible. Prizes and incentive made tonight a huge success and made all of our guilds more active, even our Imperial one hitting 500 members as a result, with heaps online. On our League of Shadows website we update to our community the fun and games with articles written nicely and somewhat professionally for great updates. On top of that, our GALLERY for tonight's events is a source of pride, with people unable to attend being able to see what we did and a nice memoir. Incentive was prizes; Cartel Market items all of which in the end added up for an unplanned roughly two million credits worth in one night raised just by guildies for fun and involvement. These prizes not only gained members the respect of their Council and Guildmasters, but gained us respect for all of those members who participated. Basically, community in a guild seems to go brilliantly if respect, compassion and kindness goes both ways. Ranks are there for invites and what not, but I think at heart we're all equal. I wasn't sure where else to put this, as this is all about community. Our guild find it amazing that a casually started and operating guild could reach 500 members so quickly and have such activity purely because of respect and kindness, without exclusion or demanding requirements.
  5. I'd again point out respectfully that nearly every feature in the game lacks a significant 'purpose' except for player enjoyment and better gameplay. Both of these a Guild shop would add; not just novelty, although that's what a hell of a lot of Cartel Market things are and look how well it's gone. Ultimately, though, yes, Bioware will make the decision regardless of what you say or I say. It's just up to them to listen to their community, which I'll admit they haven't always been the best at that, and that's coming from someone who supports them.
  6. No, but this is a post for people who want guild ships, and while I'm sure your ideas are extremely valuable why don't you make your own thread where you can rebut the ideas? Here's the Suggestion Box, not for shooting down the many ideas you'll see and won't like.
  7. Honestly, I'm not here to fight. I'm well aware that I'm not going to sway a mind alone, but Bioware have said the ships' returns are more than likely. However, I'm not the only one supporting this. There are more than just this tiny thread, there are more than just 200 people on my guild. In fact, the majority of those in guilds outweigh your minority. I don't mean to be rude, but one person such as yourself isn't so important that you can kill an idea either. If you read what I wrote, I greatly care what people say, just not those too ignorant to read what I have to say and my opinions; two of them are other peoples ideas. I quote you, 'it works both ways.' Given Bioware has released more inclination it will happen than won't, it is still very much opinion at this stage. I'd like to see some credible facts on your opinion as well as mine, because neither of us are credible. You just think you are because it hasn't happened yet, and if you don't mind me saying you're continued use of rolling eyes emotes, misused ellipses and asserting intellect over myself gain you no favour, and you're making yourself out to me to be very rude. Avoiding the question? I've said, it adds to gameplay, roleplay and atmosphere for most of us who play in guilds. It provides a home base. Nonetheless, I don't have a hugely legitimate reason; it's an online game. A role-playing game, for that matter. A legitimate reason why Priority Transport, the Fleet VIP Lounge, Repair Funds, fully voiced over dialogue and even a planet such as Makeb have been added is still lacking. The underlying answer is gameplay, roleplay and enhancing a gaming experience, all of which a Guild ship would add. I appreciate your opinions, as you've clearly had a look at some of the ideas, but don't make yourself out to be factual; the only thing factual here is that everything is speculation and opinion. I'd like to finish by rebutting the (rather rude) line of 'You having to think about someone else other than just yourself and your guild..' You need to start thinking of all of those people in guilds, not just my own, rather than focusing on your world where only things perfect to your gameplay can be added to the game, without the interests of others coming into account. Now, let's keep this all very civil, as the last thing I want is three pages of explosive argument on what is supposed to be a nice suggestion thread.
  8. Given I made the title, I should think I read it. To be hugely and bluntly honest with you, the explanation for the title, as I quoted, is in the first line of the synopsis. It's not changeable. But, to be hugely honest with you, I couldn't care less about what people's opinions and thoughts are if they're just going to shoot down the fact 'must' was said because they're too ignorant to read just the first line, and the rest of it without listening to ideas...if that's the case, their opinions really have no credibility. Any negative ideas are of course welcomed, if the ideas have actually been read. Never judge something by its title.
  9. Perhaps not, but two guilds with 400+ members with the odd 200 I've spoken to all seem to agree. You could argue that nothing really servers the game as a whole which is just a perk, but MMOs and SWTOR have a focus on Guilds and I believe this could enhance that, particularly with the new program the're launching. I think the dullness of guild meetings now is summed up in 'can stand around and look at each other's characters.' There's pretty much nothing entertaining but a ship could work. xD Anyway, all opinionative.
  10. If you took the time to read the first line of the first post, you'd have seen; It was underlined and everything, so if the only reason you're here is to shoot down ideas please take the time to at least read the suggestions.
  11. Commonly our guild, which I am the Guildmaster of, like to have small gatherings or meetings, more for a role play point of view but also because it's very nice to actually see other people in character rather than talking to others through only guild chat. It's hardly a waste of content for players, those who really feel a sense of belonging in a guild and those I've spoken to would love something like this. It's not a huge change, given the things they just put out in the expansion; they've put out new operations and warzones in patches which are much bigger than this (ie Terror from Beyond.) SWTOR has recently been giving guild perks, such as the 5% experience boost, and are trying to create a chain of benefits. This is clearly one of these benefits, so 'the force' could actually be quite strong here.
  12. To be honest with you there's an abundance of guilds which don't require you to do Ops, FPs or WZs but simply want to hang around in chat and be a member. Still, if you want to create a guild, ask in general; it'll work a lot more effectively and quickly.
  13. I wondered the same thing as my download speed has been ridiculously slow lately because of connection issues. Nonetheless over a ridiculous time of a day and two nights I'm downloaded. But I'm nearly certain it will never be released in stores unless it's compiled with the actual game for purchase at some time. That's why it's their 'digital expansion' I'm afraid.
  14. Yeah, it's something to do with my connection though, nothing Bioware can fix. Hope yours gets better soon. Anyway, does anyone know the download sizes? Even on the slower WiFi connection English Assets (540 MB) has been downloading, but the Game Client size would be much appreciated.
  15. At the moment I'm having Game Client issues I'm working on resolving on my end, not a Customer Service problem. Anyway, as a result I haven't downloaded patch 2.0. I found that Main Assets was roughly 2-3 GB, could anybody give me the English Assets and Game Client size? Can't seem to find them anywhere...

  17. I'd have to agree. We have our community, even if admittedly the population isn't huge. The community exists. I take issue with Bioware's repeated reason that it's for population. If our ping is so high- which I can't guarantee it willl be- to play, then what on earth does population matter? It certainly doesn't matter if you're too laggy not to play, but for them to put up with you. The tolerance span of players and lag I've found on my time on the Harbinger for that one toon is not huge.
  18. For the record, I got the game just as/before 1.2 came out and that was exactly when the AP Servers came out....so yes we were around then! A community means a group of people who function together, and are, in essence, a group of people; no where in 'community' is there mandatory friendliness, you're always going to have someone unfriendly, and I know that it'll be no better on the American servers. In game on AP you can ask questions and nearly ALWAYS receive a friendly answer without American players taking 'cheap shots' at us and calling us 'noobs' and 'idiots' and far more unpleasant things not really necessary to share on this forum. So, given you don't seem to be an Australian player (I could most definitely be wrong, but 'IheartNYC' logically seems to have a certain American ring to it and the American servers in your signature clearly indicate you're not from our servers) then let those who wish to campaign campaign for their servers. It most likely won't get them anywhere, but it was certainly worth a try. You haven't been around in our community long enough to know us. This is the forums, not the servers. Not everyone here is strictly an AP player. And certainly not everybody here is everyone on the servers, 90% are game loving, friendly and generally caring people.
  19. Master Dar'Nala is the least populated of the APAC servers, it shouldn't really be used to compare. Nonetheless, your point is true; the NA Servers are compared to each other, not the APAC ones. Even at 'Standard' level of Dalborra, the most active of them, you'd be hard pressed to find 9 instances of Makeb!
  20. Main Assets is 2.32 GB. Not sure about the rest, had to stop the download when the connection started having issues.
  21. It isn't me who's not reading the posts; where did I suggest it had anything to do with the NA Servers? Consolidation of the servers, and local merges, which you're talking about, are going to be difficult; not many people are going to be voluntarily switching, we've established that already. They don't have the tech to force a merge and it's going to cost money for them to initiate consolidation of local servers; if they're going to the NA Servers in the future anyway, why would they bother? Sure, they can initiate voluntarily transfers, as you said; they may well do that. But, as of what we've been told, they can't force anything on anyone so they'll probably view a merge as counter-productive in the long run. :( I'm laughing at the fact that the people who shot down our petition (which we knew from the start probably wouldn't get us anywhere) on the grounds Bioware wouldn't listen are now trying to get Bioware to listen to them as if they're going to be listened to over others just because they either want to be merged to NA- which we know can't happen- or they're the APAC Servers aren't going to be consolidated. Isn't that what we were arguing for in the first place? Just a tad ironic. Now I'm hoping for action as much as anyone else, but nagging won't get us anywhere. We've already discovered the only way to talk to this company is with money.
  22. What part of 'we don't have the right tech yet' do people not understand? The reason it hasn't been done yet is because presently it can't be done. I'm sure as soon as Bioware can do it they'll do it, it's just a question of when it's possible.
  23. It's rather inevitable it will happen, though the illusion many of us still cling to- including me- is that Bioware will listen to anything, positive or not. I used to be one of the people to stand up for them but I've struggled to find reason to recently. Still, Eric said they were lacking the tech when he posted it. I think some people are being a tad naive when they wanted it last week on Tuesday maintenance, or even with ROTHC. In slight contradiction to what I earlier said, I would like to think Bioware will provide us with an announcement some time in advance.
  24. Still no clue as to where the Guild Round Table will be? I suggested the Voss-ka City somewhere and in game was told that was a good idea, and that my guild would be attending, but have no reply since then as to where it will be held.
