  1. Anyone else have any similar experiences?
  2. Ya, just had a guildie tell me. Thanks. Though how else someone was going to figure that out I have no idea.
  3. Can't buy the weapons I now have rep for, etc. Thanks. Really don't appreciate that. Especially since vendors for other events are still up like gree and bounty week, so I expected the same here. Why can't you be consistent? It's not too much to ask.
  4. I'd prefer not to have such a perk. I've found that the fog of war is helpful when I'm wondering if I've been somewhere before or not. For example the datacron on NW Voss - I thought I'd gotten it, but on checking the map the whole area was grayed out since I'd never been there. Very handy to have. And besides, you get exp for visiting new areas. Don't want to give that up..
  5. Just don't ever lose or break your smartphone. That said, I have a security key on the way. But nonetheless, bioware should be able to recognize the same damn computer that plays its game every single day and is used 99% of the time to log into the website. The one-time password should be for when the program sees a DIFFERENT computer than the one it always sees. That it just treats every request as a different comp is just lazy and incompetent. Seriously. Its nothing more than that.
  6. Certain high value monsters, in particular Catalyst and Shellshock, have been "stolen" from those who tagged them on a regular basis during this event. Basically, here's an example: I tag Catalyst with my gunslinger, get it about half dead and a group of 2 or more come along, not of my party. They taunt the catalyst off me and lure it down the tunnel until it resets. At that point the other character in their party is back at the spawn point and tags it, completing the steal. I have no taunt so I can't grab it back. This is such a well known ploy at this point that most people trying to get a catalyst kill are using their guardians, shadows, and vanguards and not even bothering with other characters. Literally, there were steal attempts on the last 4 catalysts I tagged. I lost the first one, but got wise and switched to my shadow and was able to keep the last 3. I also observed several steals on Shellshock as well. The solution to this would be to not allow a monster to be taunted unless your group has tagged it. I surely hope you will implement such a change to minimize mob stealing and griefing in the future, especially before the next rakghoul event. Thank you.
  7. And from your pilots seat just jump over the rail and disembark. It's the fastest ship for getting from ship to planet I've seen so far (have ships for Imp Agent, Bounty Hunter, and the Fury also). Imp Agent's ship is the coolest looking both inside and out imho. I like the Fury's outside, but the inside is a bit too uncomfortable looking. Bounty Hunter ship is butt ugly all around, but seeing as it was a stolen ship heh, you get what you pay for. Otherwise, the defender just doesn't seem "jedi like" to me, whatever that means...
  8. Haha! Ya that one early on would take hours! And one bad pull... But I have to admit I miss it. Overall, probably my favorite instance tho my headpiece would take forever to drop...
  9. Ya, noticed that this week. I got killed with a 42k damage swipe and I wasn't the only one. We took in an experienced group in mostly full rakata/bh and got wiped about 5 times from these kind of hits. Then we reset the whole thing and he hit normally and we downed him quickly with no problems.
  10. If you finished the main quest and turned it in (sometimes even if you don't turn it in) you're done. No more sand people for you.
  11. True, we don't want something massively complex, but the random thing is just annoying. A system where you make say 10 of an item then RE the whole stack to the next level would be predictable and reasonable, would achieve the same general difficulty requirement, and it would be consistent with the concept of learning or mastering a craft. And it would not be frustrating like the current system. In fact this random mechanic is eerily similar to the free to play crap games from the perfect world people. That mechanic is used to induce people into spending more real money on a "free" game. Such cheesy mechanics have no place in a bioware game. I expect better from them.
  12. Agree to all. Massive dev thinking process failure. Wow got this one right for jewel crafting - schematics dropped in operations type dungeons but were boe so could be sold. At first just a few had them and prices were high but later most could make the items and there was vibrant trade on the auction house. Worked perfectly. Biochemist have great personal items but not much to sell. The columi implant schematics are also few and far between and heavily rolled on. But exotech stims - especially when using stims is important in ops are excessively rare. Serious design failure IMHO. I see all the synth weave schem drops and just get peeved. They probably aren't worth much but still... A lil love for the biochem who'd like to sell on gtn would be nice.
  13. My beef is that I usually have 4 light side missions and 1 dark side mission in diplomacy. That's annoying as hell for a dark side player.

    Corusca Gems

I've gotten rich missions and always get coruscas off those.
  15. It appears the bombers have the same 104k health on both story and hard mode. Is this true?
  16. It means you'll now have x legacy on one server and y legacy on a different server. No cross server legacy.
  17. Cosmetic. Generally the cooler looking stuff costs more.
  18. One issue I had with light side is that in the end I was at about 7500 light (150 dark only). So I had to run FPs for the rest. Ended up grinding the last 1500 points doing BT normal for 200 points per run. I'm a completionist so I didn't miss much - though I skipped corellia cuz I hate that planet.
  19. Lazy? Are my legs n lungs getting a workout? Nope. I want to get back to the action faster. Long run backs are just a time waster and I hate wasting time. A speeder or a shortcut is very reasonable. Long run backs that can be avoided by design are just poor design. I've appreciated speeders and mounts and the use of speeders in orbital stations. Haven't you? Or are you putting your money where your mouth is and continuing to hoof it through those zones? I'd bet money you're mounting up...
  20. Those are really good points. For those reasons melee dps should be significantly higher than ranged to compensate. Besides, marauders don't really have much in the way of aoe. Ranged often kill stuff before m marauder even gets there.
  21. Haha. That was my first thought on this before the game came out. My second thought was if a tank is wearing light armor they'll have to compensate to heavy in some way. Not a real big leap required there.

    Accuracy

I'm wondering how much accuracy people are using. When I started my marauder I read a few guides that all said that accuracy should be the first thing you go for up to 108 or 110%. Next in priority would be crit then surge then power. I've followed this and have done well. Full rakata cept for 3 columis and now have 104% accuracy. My crit is around 33% and surge somewhere over 70%. A guildie gave me orange sabers last night with aug slots and I mentioned I might toss more accuracy on them with augs. The group piped up that bah you don't need that. Do strength or something else. Strength is always a good thing but I also noticed that most of their accuracies were at 90%. Just got me wondering. Back in wow as a rogue I always had my accuracy up - that was canon. If you don't hit it, it doesn't matter how much your damage capability is. Basically I'm wondering if I'm hitting 10% or more more often than these guys. Cuz if I am that's huge. What is the prevailing wisdom on this? And oh how I miss my old wow raid meters... Major bw fail on this so far. Why don't they just build it into the game. Grr.
  23. Mines pretty similar to what grimnoire posted. I never use force scream unless I find myself at a distance from the mob ( too expensive per point of rage relative to others). I save force choke as a stunner or if I have time (not on boss) for use as alternate rage builder or feel like watching something squirm. Since those are useful early I've noticed that many don't abandon them as other options come available. Take a look at rage cost and damage outputs and it becomes clear what you want to use most. Everything else is either rage builder or damage enhancer (like deadly saber & berserk) or it's a situational utility skill. Ravage is free and I use it alot. While its going I assess what my next steps will be. Keep ruptures and deadly saber dots up at all times. Bleed damage is tops - don't forget that. Rupture, annihilate, vicious throw, ravage whenever possible.
  24. Yup. On an elite I'll use most of those. When hitting a normal mob it's typically a 1-3 ability approach. Say three are grouped together. Due to cool downs, the first will get a smash followed by (I forget the name but it lights up for incapacitateds), 2nd will get annihilate, and third a ravage and all done. But that's at 50 with good gear hehe and as simple as it gets. Makes my old wow rogue look easy as hell. But really after playing it to the exclusion of alts for 50 levels it's pretty second nature now.
