I’ve been playing this game since launch and I always admired old pewpewpew animation merc does. I mean it was so cool i could maybe watch it hours and wouldn’t be tired of it
but I never had chance to roll one myself since I already had one heal class back then (operative) and then I switched to republic. One of my first chars on rep side was a commando since I was expecting some close animations to merc one.
Obviously i was disappointed with giant green beam of death (for pvp at least. "Look everyone, I’m a healer. Follow the beam to kill me") but nothing to do, I moved on and start to like mando heal anyways.
Point is, I recently started to roll merc (as 15th char ) and I wasn’t aware of they changed the animation. So you can imagine my disappointment. I was expecting one or 2 shot from pistols at least (i was even ok with previously changed one) but no. they implemented same animation from operatives.
I dunno why bioware likes to changes thing ppl like and keep other staff intact. I would be so sad if i had merc as main and they changed that afterwards. I never thought I would ever say that but that made me miss my giant green beam of death
