  1. Or even more mind blowing: 4 rage marauders can cast predation infinitely (which stacks) resulting in a permanent +40% defenses (and increased run speed too, of course). Also, I can't possibly imagine anyone surviving 4 buffed crit smashes at the same time either.
  2. The tooltip says it only applies to your party...
  3. It is pretty annoying, but charging someone as they knockback and getting stuck through the world and then disconnected (kicked out of your WZ) is a lot more annoying to me personally. Even with some of the ridiculous bugs in the game, I still love it though.
  4. Ah, there should probably be 2/2 in stagger and only 1/2 in strangulate since who cares if your force choke gets pushed back, right?
  5. You could always try this. I call it my retard-mode-pacifist-run-around-while-flailing-your-glowsticks build. The best part is your entire party gets to join in on the fun too! This build is great because, really, at the end of the day, who wants to kill anyone? I'm actually really tempted to try this build...
  6. I'd also like to know how rupture on sentinels is called "Cauterize" and it causes bleed damage...
  7. Wait, I think it's just the damage numbers wont appear over their head if you clip the assault. From using assault on normal low hp mobs its easy to see that all of the damage from assault hits them at once even though the numbers don't show up at the same time the damage is dealt. Weird... /thread
  8. Look at the damage on your vicious slash and consider the rage cost. It costs a net of 2 rage to cast, and deals whatever damage, right? Now consider in the same GCD using assault and retaliation. In the same amount of time, you cost a net of 1 rage, and you do far more tooltip damage than the VS. Unless your rupture is on cooldown and you are fishing for that 33% chance to grab it back, I would suggest using assault+retaliation (but obviously delay the retaliation because it will clip your assault dmg! )
  9. As an anni spec marauder, I like to use retaliation if it is available and chain it together with an assault if my other stuff is on cooldown (if I need to decide between using a vicious slash or an assault for my next attack) I noticed something today that I am actually not surprised about and am a little ashamed I didn't notice earlier... I thought that since retaliation was off the GCD, by using retal+assault in the same gcd it would not only save me 1 extra rage compared to using vicious slash, but it would also do more damage. Great huh? Unfortunately, as everyone knows, assault hits in a chain of 3 swings. What I realized today was that you only get 1 of the swings if you immediately use retaliation; the animation for retaliation cancels the damage from 2/3 of your assault... That happens if you push them together at the same time, which I always do because of my jittery button presses. I guess it would still work if you just delayed your retaliation to the end of the GCD from assault... I was just wondering if any other marauders noticed or knew about this.
  10. Berserk + Rupture + Hungering = 18% of max HP regenerated in 6 seconds. How is this a "stinky heal" for pvp? that is quite a lot of health.
  11. Use deadly saber in your first charge, that way your battering, rupture, and annihilate will each stack your deadly saber and you will have full 3 stacks. If you by some miracle haven't been shut down by this point, a choke to let them bleed is pretty tasty, especially if you have your relics popped.
  12. Damage won't break your force camouflage anyway, so the answer is no
  13. I used to be anni, until I realized I can still do decent damage while giving my party +50% move speed and +10% defenses for the entire match. Party play FTW in WZ! It's also fun to be able to always keep on top of people even with their snares and knockbacks since you are running so quickly. It may not be the best PVP spec, but it is definitely fun (if your party can understand that you need to stick together.....) I honestly think though that the berserk heals to your party from anni spec pales in comparison to permanent predation; rage is a much better spec for team-oriented play (especially if you have multiple rage marauders stacking it)
  14. Knockbacks are only mildly annoying to me; I just walk around again. If they are REALLY annoying you that much you can always spec rage and run around with permanent predation on, that way you really won't mind getting knocked back since you can close that distance so quickly.
  15. Endurance boosts our healing...
  16. Elementalist 100% in GW2 because it looks ****** as fu
  17. Just use annihilate while you are casting ravage.
  18. Nah, you aren't massacring anyone since you aren't carnage spec! Ho ho ho!~ Anyway, I was also anni spec starting from 20 when deadly saber was accessible but added two points into carnage for defensive forms while I was leveling because the extra fury generation is really nice. As soon as I hit 40 I respecced instantly to pick up annihilate and I completely agree with you; annihilate is an extremely fun ability that really makes anni spec satisfying and rewarding, plus it makes you just want to zerg rush grind the next pack of mobs as quickly as possible! On several occasions I would find myself still killing mobs after I completed the quest just because I didn't want to let annihilate stacks fall off haha..
  19. Thank you for sharing your opinion on what the developers should do to modify the skill. Now let us discuss the current functionality of the skill, in which two swings occur rapidly and then a long delay occurs before the final swing. It is my theory that it is never useful as an annihilation marauder to fully cast 3 seconds of ravage, but it is extremely useful to cast 1.5 seconds of ravage and to then cancel it with annihilate. I created this thread for the purpose of discussing my opinion with the community and to see what other people thought about the usefulness of cancelling ravage into annihilate; opinions (ideally backed up with data) that counter the concept of casting 1.5 seconds of ravage before using annihilate are extremely welcome, as I currently cannot see any reason to NOT cancel my ravage into annihilate every time.
  20. Here is the spec he is talking about in a talent calculator, just to make it easier
  21. Also I forgot to mention that you can get two epic level 50 enhancements and 1 mod each day if you do the heroic dailies on ilum and belsavis! They are really nice to help beef up your old gear before you start filling the slots out with pvp stuff.
