  1. Buena Vista Games changed their name to Disney Interactive Studios almost 6 years ago. And let's take a look at some of the amazing games this studio has given us the last couple of years: Cars and Cars 2. Brave: The Video Game. Chicken Little. Chicken Little: Ace in Action. Dance Dance Revolution Disney Grooves. Hannah Montana. Hannah Montana: Spotlight World Tour. Alright, I'll stop there. And before you start whining, I KNOW that they have made awesome games as well. But the fact remains, that the last couple of years, Disney Interactive Studios have produced lots of really, really bad movie lincensed games, and very very few good games. Of course, this doesn't automatically mean that any potential SW-games by the studio will be crappy.
  2. Not only would I love a new Star Wars space simulation game, I am also curious as to why no sequel (or...a new expansion...) to Star Wars: Empire at War has been produced. Not only do we have the Clone Wars, but older ones as well (or hey, why not the Yuuzhan Vong War?). A EaW-game but set in the time of the Mandalorian Wars/Jedi Civil War/Sith Civil War could work well. Or perhaps even an FPS, split in two. First half, you're a mandalorian, crashing into a planets surface in your Basilisk, slaughtering all in your way. Second half, a puny little grunt in the Republic Army beating back the mandos all the way to Dxun and Malachor V...oh dear, did I just soil myself with excitement?
  3. A spastic action hero! Why did I never think of that? When he went all Jackie Chan on Count Dooku all I could think was: "Wow, a flying, bouncing piece of menthol." EDIT: Also, Yoda is not the only one. Don't forget about Oteg, Minch, Vandar Tokare and Yaddle.
  4. Indeed so, and so did the Agressive ReConnaissance-170 starfighter (Or, as you may also know it, the ARC-170), and even though the ARC-170 (used during the Clone Wars) was way younger then the Aurek-class (which saw action during the Mandalorian Wars +-), it's still older then the X-Wing, and it had, as I said, Shielding and Hyperdrive. Even the good old S-250 Chela-class starfighter (which fought in the Battle of Rakata Prime and many other battles in and around 3,956 BBY) had shielding and hyperdrives, although obsolete in comparison.
  5. I'd like to see Corso Riggs. Or perhaps Bowdaar, but Bowdaar maybe isn't that exciting. "You saved my life, so now I, the walking carpet rug, will follow you and protect you for eternity." He's a very straight-forward wookie, so I vote for Corso.
  6. The fact that Darth Nihilus armor is not in the game so far is an outrage, at least to me The stormtrooper's helmet, well...it just doesn't fit in with the lore at all, considering those helmets started appearing some 3000-4000 years later.
  7. Don't worry. All your characters will receive these items. Whenever you start a new character, they will have received e-mail right from the start, and that e-mail contains those items.
  8. "When kolto was replaced in favor of bacta, the Republic abandoned Manaan, and the Selkath left Ahto City for their ancient cities in the depths of the planet's oceans. Manaan did not have further contact with the galaxy until the Selkath were enslaved by the Galactic Empire sometime during the Galactic Civil War." "Bacta was invented by the Vratix on the planet Thyferra in antiquity, with the galaxy at large learning of its properties around 4,100 BBY." 4,100 BBY = Year 447 before the Treaty of Coruscant (BTC) Sorry man, probably no Manaan :/
  9. I walk a similar path. I assume I will be deeply disappointed, that way, if it actually is good, I get double the joy.
  10. Yeah, because crafting your own lightsaber is the final test before becoming a true jedi. Meditating and constructing your own personal lightsaber carries with it alot of emotional attachment, which is why they start choking up as soon as they lose their ligthsaber.
  11. I've noticed that as well. Although most empire players seems willing to help each other out (after the usual mocking), that's about it. I have a trooper on the republic side, and I noticed I could barely go anywhere without people trying to recruit me for a guild, which is awesome. However, on the empire side, it's very rare to even see guild recruitment posts, where are all the guilds on the empire side recruiting? Quesh?
  12. I believe your 2 pennies are worth much more than that.
  13. The Thrawn Trilogy is a given. All I hope is that they don't use the bad EU stuff (you know...the stuff that in practice makes the original trilogy mean nothing), like when Luke falls to the dark side, or worse yet...Palpatines clones wreaking havoc. *screams in agony*
  14. Yes, of course I know that force sensitives can predict the enemies movements, that's how sith and jedi can deflect blaster shots for instance. And if you looked at my post more carefully, you'd see that I indeed wrote that they receive training in almost all of the fighting styles, but then they SPECIALIZE in 1 or 2 of those styles. Do you understand the concept of specializing? Say they specialize in the Way of the Hawk-bat (Form IV: Ataru, like Yoda, Qui-Gon Jinn and Aylaa Secura), that means that the Way of the Mynock (Form III: Soresu) suffers from it. However, the question here was not about the styles of combat, but about single vs. dual-wielding. No matter the training, you can't go from being a superb single-wielding champion, to a superb dual-wielding champion, just by picking up that additional saber. EDIT: I'm sorry, my post sounded alot meaner then I intended.
  15. That is an excellent question, especially since dual-wielding requires a completely different style of combat then using one saber. It seems that the jedi/sith who have mastered their single-blade combat style, suddenly become supreme in the art of dual-wielding as soon as they pick up that second one. Amazing. Going from one blade to two blades SHOULD impair your fighting skill, not improving it, because even though at least all jedi get an equal training in almost all the combat styles (except the more aggressive styles), all of them can't be equally good in all fighting styles. Dual-wielding, or worse, double-bladed-wielding takes ALOT of training.
