  1. Some of the replies are laughable. I especially like the sig of one of the posters that reads "Cancelled 1/4/2012" ... This game has been out what...a month? There's no surprises in the release of this game. What is left out was not promised... Target of Target, LFD, Guild Banks, etc. have all been on the list for some time... Many of you obviously have no idea how MMO's work. You should have played EQI, it took forever to get a lot of the bugs hammered out. Given it was probably the first large scale, commercial MMO, not much has changed. Fast forward to WoW, if you look at their release, we would still be waiting on queues and playing a tenth of what you are now. I understand a lot of points that are being made, and i'm frustrated with several of them. However, I have found the people that really drive and develop MMO's do not have a lot of say when and how they are released. If EA says a certain day, it comes out. These guys are doing pretty good so far. They have responded to a lot of concerns and they have queues down to a playable amount. If you don't like the game, move on and leave it alone. We don't care if and when you cancelled because at that point you are no longer a part of the community. Go play WoW, Rift, or something else. The real judgement will come about 3 months from now. TOR is a great game. Probably a 8 or 8.5 out of a 10. I knock it a couple of points only because MMO's are not in their infancy any more. Some things should have been learned and implemented early on. However, these guys had to really integrate a ton of VO and environment. They prioritized the more Bioware'esque portions of their game and they are adding the typical MMO concepts secondarily. That's fine. It looks to me, 6 months from now, if they make the right decisions, we'll have one heck of a game.
  2. I think you'll find that a lot of people are reorganizing as more and more friends get talked into playing, a lot of people are also rerolling due to not liking their class or wanting a second shot at things maybe even on a different server, and some people are racing to 50 separating themselves from the pack. This happens on every game... you went from hundreds of thousands of people starting at square one to the dust settling and people landing all over the map. I'm sure it has tapered back a little but people just are not in the same place anymore and the true test of this game is about a month ahead of us.
  3. Pretty excited about the initial direction they're taking.... Anything to make World PvP better is a big plus. It's good but World PvP really makes a PvP server healthy. I like having the Warzones but you don't want to make them to the point they empty your PvP population into instances leaving your server a ghost town. However, you can make them a secondary path, it needs to be done so... Thanks guys for your attention and efforts in regards to PvP!
  4. This is a great guide.. hopefully it will be maintained and other classes are so lucky. Thanks so much for your work!
  5. How's HoG on world PvP though? Haven't really heard too much about that side of things... I know the Veela people are really talking it up on their discussion. I believe our guild is primarily on Po5 but some are still waiting on invites.
  6. The very point that Po5 isn't being discussed very much on the boards is making it more and more credible. haha....
  7. Yeah.. I have to agree. This is absolutely unbelievable that people would be so upset. I think this has been great. I'm still not in but didn't decided to jump on the bandwagon until November. This just goes to show you how much this generation believes everyone deserves what they want when they want it. They have already given people more than they promised to be begin with...
  8. I'm actually really surprised no one has made a sticky post with server listings with guilds and their guild type (i.e. guild size, hardcore/family, etc.) My gang is till waiting for invites as we didn't list our guild due to a late decision. We have been playing MMO's since 1999 and really have latched onto PvP throughout the last 6 or more. Some of our allied guilds from other games were place on PO5 but they say all the competition is on Anchorhead. We really got competitive in EQ2, WAR, and RIft (what time we spent there) so we are looking for some good PvP... especially open world. Any suggestions where the more mature (meaning non 8yr old griefers that love Barrens chat) family oriented players. Looking for a place with a couple of good hard core groups too...
