  1. Out of curiosity, how far along past this in the storyline are you?
  2. Okay, good news: 1) I logged back in on the character and two targets on Hoth. When I checked my inventory I found the other 4 trophies ("Scorekeeper Trophy") that were lost have been returned to the mission items section of my inventory. 2) I went out and killed couple of the targets in the starship graveyard and went back to Qyzen with a total of 6 trophies. I turned in 5, and ended conversation by scrolling down to and selecting option 17 "I'm still on the hunt.". 3) With the final trophy in my inventory I tested the bug by turning it in to Qyzen. This bumped my influence 500 points from tier 6 to 7. Upon hitting Esc to quit the conversation, I lost -500 influence with Qyzen and my rep went back down to tier 6. I checked my mission items inventory and see the scorekeeper trophy there now. I turned it back in and went up to tier 7 again and left the conversation with option 17 again. Reputation gain / tier properly retained. Must have been a hiccup that was fixed either overnight or upon logging out of my character and logging back in. Weird. Whatever the case, I hope they fix this bug at some point.
  3. Hmmmm, that might have been it. I'll try it again and see if using whatever the "that's all for now, bye" option in the dialogue is. If this is the case, that's a NASTY bug that needs to be fixed. Exiting out of conversations and cancelling outcomes is understandable, but effectively getting rid of items from my inventory isn't cool. 😞 I'm guessing this is the case with star fortress NPC that you need to build influence with? Is this listed somewhere as acknowledged/known issue by the community / dev team? To clarify, I did work on this quest recently as I originally posted. But the time I originally accepted the quest from the alliance contacts list and travelled to Qyzen for the first time on this character was long long ago. 🙂
  4. 1) NA - Satele Shan 2) Using Steam. 3) It has been a long time (like, probably well over a year) since I started this quest on this character. I have 19 characters on this server, so it's hard to recall all my dialogue choices for repetitive quests like this one. 4) I have not. Given how much time you have to spend running around large stretches of Hoth to find the spawns. I wanted to see if this was something that others in the community have experienced before doing so. I can try again and see if I can duplicate it again.
  5. When attempting to make progress on the quest “Stalking the Score” my influence with Qyzen that I can by turning in trophies from “Worthy Jagannath Targets” the influence gained is documented incrementally in the chat log (+500 influence gained) for each trophy. However, when I end the dialogue conversation with Qyzen, the influence is immediately lost and so are the trophies. Please see attached screenshot. You can see my influence increased to rank 6, then it immediately decreased by -2000 points back to rank 4. Here is info from bug report template that is requested: Screenshots and videos are always helpful. See attached. What is the AMD or Nvidia Model Number of your graphics card? EVGA Nvidia RTX 3080. What time did this happen? Please include the timezone. This happened yesterday, January 05, 2024 at approximately 2:31 AM PST What class were you playing? Jedi Knight What role were you playing? Guardian - Focus How often does the bug occur? When I attempt to make progress towards completing a the quest "Stalking the Score" by turning in trophies obtained on Hoth. What happens when the bug occurs? I gain influence with Qyzen Fess, the trophies are removed from my character's inventory, and then I immediately lose influence with Qyzen Fess upon exiting the conversation. What do you expect to see? A gain influence and removal of the trophies. Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Kill Worthy Jagannath Targets on Hoth, particularly from the Starship Graveyard area, and attempt to turn them in to Qyzen Fess with the Quest "Stalking the Score" active. Details. The more, the better. Give us full names of NPCs, gear pieces, locations, abilities, step by step in how to reproduce the issue, etc… If we cannot reproduce a bug, we will not be able to fix it. 4 trophies in total were lost. Not sure what else I can provided here that hasn't already been provided above. If anything else is required, please let me know. If you are experiencing crashing, slowness, or graphical problems, you may need to provide a DxDiag in your report. Learn how to run a DxDiag here. This is not a crashing or system performance issue so no DxDiag file is required at this time.
  6. Holy cow it's been 9 nine years??!! Well fine...here's my love letter / trip down memory lane... 9 Years ago (ish) I was still in the air force and standing in the BX (base exchange) with my wingman and good friend grinning like an idiot with the giant collectors edition box of SWTOR. I had tried Star Wars galaxies years ago and didn't like it one bit. (Though, to be fair to galaxies I never got a chance to try it before the "new game experience" came along and killed the game). But this game looked significantly better and offered lots of different storyline arcs across different classes. After being introduced to and playing world of Warcraft for some time by that same friend, we were both looking for something that would come along and kill WoW. While the game held our attention and subscriptions for several months, the bugs and numerous issues that went unfixed and unpatched that made our experience less than pleasant caused him to cancel his subscription after a few months and me a couple months later. The main reason it held my attention for the extra bit of time was because I was significantly more vested into the Star Wars universe at that point. Having watched the original trilogy growing up as a kid and reading countless books, comics, and listening to audio dramas that were the expanded universe at the time before Disney came along, I was vested. But none the less, let down. I came back 6 months to a year later after the free-to-play system had launched as a subscriber and enjoyed the experience for a bit more, then cancelled again after a couple of months. I would then proceed to come back at each major expansion or storyline content drop for one to four months and then cancel again. For the most part during my tenure in the game I was part of the guild known as Second Mass. A fun group of folks to hang with in voice chat. Even better when your guild leader pranks the entire guild by renaming it the lollipop guild for April fools. Then attempts to rename it back and then is promptly horrified at the fact that he can't undo his mistake due to guild renaming time limit rules coded into the game. I wish I could have been there to see the customer support correspondence with that one. Now in my travels I fly under the Blue Moon banner. A very kind and entertaining group of folks as well. Thanks to these folks anytime I've been on I've been able to do operations and always felt welcome. The things have changed since the beginning of SWTOR for me are in more ways than one, and none in some ways I have left the Air Force after 7 years and some change of service, I own a house with my wife 13 years. I no longer fly a desk answering phone calls regarding logistics matters. I now work at a library doing my best to make sure that people seeking entertainment and knowledge are able to get it. However I do still play SWTOR two or three times a year for a couple of months. My favorite class by this point is still the trooper. You see, I had created a female mirialan trooper when the game had launched. I was also very much a Mass Effect fanboy at the time. So you can imagine my excitement when I see my trooper's mouth open and hear Commander Shepard/Jennifer Hale's voice coming out. I played a trooper exclusively to level 50. Once I finished the trooper story arc I figured I would try the Jedi Knight. You can imagine my confusion and disappointment upon finding out that not only that my first companion was a droid and required special armor, but also that nearly all of my companions also had different primary stat line attributes to worry about as well as different gear tiers. After finding out that the trooper was apparently the only unique class in this regard. Every single trooper companion could wear heavy armor AND used aim as their primary attribute. So my companions were able to benefit from hand me down gear and stay relevant in combat for the most part all I leveled up as well. I was definitely happy when the update came along that made companion gear stats meaningless and went with influence instead. This made playing other classes significantly more affordable and enjoyable. Well I haven't enjoyed every single story expansion, or the creative choices and liberties taken with the Star Wars universe that the level designers and writers on this team have taken, I feel that this game has done overall good justice to the Star Wars universe and lore. And for that I thank you all who have worked on the old republic. Just please for the love of God let the emperor be dead and start writing a new interesting arc for our characters. 9 years is enough to be fighting the same guy.
  7. I'd be neat if you could nominate your companion for those kinds of roles. Kira or Nadia would be good fits for a council role. Nearly any of the stock smuggler crew except Guss would be go starting a smuggling underground like Hylo. Possibilities...
  8. Clean house in a non-lethal manner. Manipulate events so that those on the council are forced to step down "in disgrace" as opposed to outright finding a way to kill them. There were some nods in onslaught for empire characters to choose about how anti-nonhuman sentiment and slavery is repulsive and overall harmful to the empire being able to function efficiently. Same thing for the Jedi Knight/Counselor. Use less than kind methods to force out the competition that you don't want on the council and put in those that are more quick to act on their impulses that you can control more easily as opposed to sit there and act logically and think matters through.
  9. While I'm not where the progress is currently when it comes to the post-Onslaught expansion and where the storyline is taking us, but maybe once the role of the "Alliance Commander" has been played out well enough, can we please go back to individual class quests? It's nice to see the nod to various character backgrounds, especially when interacting with their respective companions. But that's all it is. A nod. An acknowledge that you are a *Insert class type here*. My favorite class to play since launch has been the Trooper. They are a very versatile class to play, and I really enjoyed their rising through the ranks from the grunt left holding the bag to commanding the most elite unit of soldiers in the Republic. But that whole slate got wiped out when you got frozen. But now that the eternal empire has been defeated and we are back to the original story of Empire vs. Republic for control of vital facilities, planets, resources, weapons, and possible super weapons (this is star wars after all), and we are siding with one faction, the ability to resume our class's original story should be option on table. Think of the possibilities: Empire: Agent: Combined with Lana, you two become the next two to run the galaxy from the shadows with the help of the Black Codex. Bounty Hunter: The galaxy is always full of scum and villainy with bounties from both major and neutral powers. Make a fortune for you and your crew. With Shay Vizla's help once again become the most notorious bounty hunter in the galaxy. Sorcerer / Warrior: Clean house on the dark council how you see fit and work with the current emperor / empress to ensure the galaxy knows WHY the Sith are terrifying. Republic: Smuggler: Actually, ya know, maybe try smuggling again? It's in the name after all. What's the point of having the background of a smuggler and rogue if you can't use it to make a fat stack of credits? Maybe follow the theme the Firefly TV show set? Trooper: There will always be enemies of the Republic seeking it's downfall. Not much reinvention needed here. Find a big scary powerful target to take on, point you and your team at them, fire away. Consular/Knight: Focus on helping rebuild the Jedi order as a respectable force in the galaxy. Pick your own Jedi Council. You are the Barsenthor / Battlemaster after. That's gotta count for something.
  10. So on my smuggler I opted to expel Theron from alliance after the Nathema storyline. I finished the Corellia story arc in Onslaught, and declined to join the Republic formally and kept the alliance independent. After leaving the conference with the Chancellor, Jedi Master, and General, I went to the station catwalk overlooking the cantina with Lana waiting. When she says the line: "The alliance remains a force to be reckoned with", I noticed the camera had her slightly to the left like she should be sharing the shot with someone. Then Theron's voice comes in with "Joining the republic definitely wouldn't have been so bad. Definitely would have helped with funding". Lana answers back with a close up of her. Then you see the camera go to an empty space with what I'm guessing would have been a close up of Theron with his line: "of course you do". The camera shots after this put Lana center, no further dialogue is heard from Theron.
  11. I ended up filing a ticket with support. They said they were unable to reproduce on their end. I logged back in the next day and the trigger had taken. Not sure what the bug was, but it resolved itself. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  12. I have run into a nasty bug that is not allowing my Sith Warrior to progress the main class story line. I boarded the ship for the mission "Ambush!" and cleared it of all enemies. The bonus secondary mission linked to the primary to defeat 20 enemy NPC's completed. When I reached the bridge the doors opened and a few enemy NPC's were waiting. I defeated them, but presumably the next trigger is bugged as nothing happens. I try to go talk to the Moff on the bridge with his 3 guards but it says I'm not eligible for the conversation. I've tried leaving instance, returning to my ship, traveling to the fleet, and back. I've tried relogging, exiting and restarting the game, and dismissing/resummoning different companions, but sadly nothing seems to work. I am unable to reset or abandon the mission as both buttons are not clickable. Please see videos I've uploaded to YouTube at the links below:
  13. Regardless of potential legal implications, I'd personally rather see th developers' time spent on working on bugs and new story content in the game. Pazaak would be a fun side game, but would likely only be played by a small handful of players and grow unsupported like the on rails space missions that haven't gotten an update or new mission for some time.
  14. One of the things the OP mentioned was the desire for higher resolution textures. The game actually originally (in beta) had significantly higher textures. You know how nice everything looks in cutscenes when you have your settings maxed out? Well....in beta and up until launch day that was the standard for the ENTIRE game. :-) On launch day however they toned down the quality as a method of saving bandwidth and catering to those folks who had not so great hardware. At the time of launch SWTOR wasn't (and IMO still isn't, but is better) optimized. That being said, I'd love to have the cinematic textures for the whole game again. 7 years later I'm sure people have caught up with hardware. :-)
  15. Merging everyone onto one server is a terrible idea for this game. The combat already feels clunky enough at times in terms of delay between moves the added lag would make it worse for non-US users. If you use the argument that being the near the server would solve the issue that's extremely short sighted as there are people from multiple continents they play this game. I play with some Aussies who have lamented the loss of the oceanic server god knows how long ago. As for the OP concern of Imps being on the same team as Pubs, I don't really see why it's a big deal. In PvP, AFAIK, the devs worked to make the classes as equal to their factions counter parts as possible. If it reduces queue times, I'm all for it. RP / "immerersion" breaking doesn't matter at this point. It's all tactics and rock, paper, scissors at the end of the day.
