  1. Conquest rewards should refresh immediately. It kinda rubs be the wrong way to play a character that has already done their weekly 100,000 It feels like wasted effort.
  2. This is still broken. Not exactly sure how it finally worked but took like 3/4 tries.
  3. The existence of this thread gave me a laughing fit and a splitting headache at the same time. smh
  4. You can only apply real-life economic principals to a videogame up to a certain point because of the fact that in games both money and resources are unlimited. You can always complete missions and receive more money, you can always loot more money, you can gather goods potentially forever with no limits other than time. Money and resources are created from nothing, which means that every player is creating a "government is printing more money" effect. There are some ways to relieve the pressure, but you can't really get totally rid of the inflation. Some games create "status items" that only the super wealthy can afford, like golden mounts and such.
  5. When you reach level 80, the bolster system changes and you are much more gear dependant. This happens in such a way that a level 79 with crappy gear is much stronger than a 80 with the same gear. You should drop whatever you're doing and get at least your starter green 324 Conquest gear, and get started on the legendary implants quests. Welcome to the gearing treadmill, it sucks, you're gonna love it.
  6. Most games have currency caps / rotating currency for a reason. They don't want people to hoard and get everything on day 1 when new stuff comes out, the idea is to spread gameplay over as many days as they can. Whether you think that's right or not... I'll guess I'll be hearing about it. Could these numbers be adjusted a little? Sure, we could try. But so far this thread is taking an 'all or nothing' approach. The real problem to me is not currency caps, the problem is that there is little to spend them on past a certain point. This could be remedied somewhat by A more robust currency exchange system Content updates slightly faster than an iceberg.
  7. Damn, that interview (and this thread) is old, hope they haven't given up on a new combat style. I agree that it would be nice to have a monk/martial artist archetype for tech classes using things like staffs or fist weapons. Teras Kasi is (painfully) canon to everything now, and hell, maybe toss some Echani lore into the pot as well. Jedi Survivor has a saber + pistol hybrid type thing, and I think it could be adapted into a new force user combat style with a bit of imagination.
  8. I disagree with this mentality. There are plenty of avenues to keep progressing even with the limitations you put on yourself. Personally I reluctantly do Vet FPs and GF, 9/10 times most people go on autopilot and don't bother anybody, its like playing with NPCs, lol. But alas, we all choose how we want to play. Slowly scrounging up FP-1s using currency exchange to buy blues from the onset sounds really inefficient. If I was in your shoes, I'll probably just upgrade the green conquest gear as high as it can go, and then would try my hand at solo farming an easy Vet dungeon like Red Reaper (of course, this is better if you have a stealther) until you get a high level blue, wich in turn will solve Hyde&Seek giving you all main slot equipment, and finally you get to work on getting all the accessories you need. Also, you keep sharing equipment between your alts, the idea is focusing all resources into advancement, no reason to slow yourself down. swtorista has a guide that its very similar to my idea, might give you one or two hints.
  9. To complement the answer a little, the chests that contain a upgrade are named "-something- Upgrade Cache" and they all come from group based Weekly quests (do 3 Veterans FPs, do 4 GSF, finish so and so operation, etc) Also OP should inquire about Hyde&Seek quests, as they will boost gearing considerably and are very possible to do on the solo path.
  10. I was there when the first CC lootbox happened and the Nihlus mask was something between like 2 to 5 million creds and it seemed like a pipe dream. I even got suckered into buying a couple of crates in the hopes to get an "instantly rich" drop. I played way more back then and I didn't even dream I could afford something like that. So my experience is very different from yours. The fun part, and one of the points I think OP is trying to make is that if I really wanted to I could afford premium items more easily that I could in the past, even without directly buying CCs, but I prefer to spend my crafts and Tech frags/other currencies on player advancement instead of profit. From what I can gather from this thread, people are really griping against the lack of convenience that comes from the system not being capable to handle luxury item trading anymore, and on that they have my support. But the message gets lost on "BIG NUMBER SO SCARY WOOOOOooo".
  11. Bioware could control the CC item market in several ways but it's probably too scared of angering the whales and/or devaluate their own CC currency. It's a lose-lose for them son I don't expect decisive action on their part. Personally, when I came back after a 5 year absence and was faced with the inflation, I took my pile of CC's (gifted authenticator CCs keep ticking even when you're not subscribed), bought a couple of premium dyes, sold them, and never worried about money again.
  12. Esseles/Black Talon shouldn't be a part of the Veteran/Master playlist full-stop, unless heavily modified. Come to think about it, a lot of FP's could use a good redesign. And some FPs with no solo option should get one.
  13. FF14 has a very consistent content drop every 4 months or so, with some additives in between. That's probably the most "cared for" game in the current market. It has recently come under fire because all that new content expires really quickly and it's not as engaging as it could be (source: me. ff14 is my main game and swtor is my "waiting for next patch" game )
  14. the mob density everywhere, specially post base game. There's a reason why I play my stealthers much more.
  15. This piqued my curiosity because I vividly remember being pissed before that I filled conquest and got the crappy rewards just before dingin 80. I can confirm that my level 76 BH is set to receive the customary 200 conquest if it fills the 100k points. And my level 72 Trooper has the lower tier rewards. Now I have to wonder if my trooper can level to 76 quickly enough without reaching 100k points, will the rewards shift to the upper tier ones or will they stay bad until next week? mmm...
