  2. I figured that the Original game (the story going into Ilum) is Swtor 1 , that KoTFE et KotET are SWTOR 2 so it would be logical to called that expansion SWTOR 3. We already stated that to add a new class it should be at level 50 already and not be able to do previous stories. While in fact it could be well possible to start with main classes at level 50 also , doing the same intro as the Officer. Our character start with a different background than the class starting at level 1. For jedi & Sith it will be the same but they won't be the "Hero of Tython". Agent => Imperial Trooper Bounty Hunter => Scouts Soldier => Will be a regular Republic Trooper Smuggler => Scout. All of the being sent to a starting planet. Let's say Onderon. Where both Republic and Empire have meet in battle , both in space and on the surface. You'll have to do a Planet story quest and many quest (the same way as when you start level 60 on Marr's ship) about as big as the Level 1 starting planet. Both Republic and Empire will fight trough this series of quest then will have to retreat due to a lack of strength. Considering they can't wage war like old times for now they'll look to new allies (and be back with the expansion of itself). You'll play the same way as the expansion , being backed up with 2 companions , one of them dying (which one dies depend on you) will make a reason for you to leave your faction for real (as explained in the main expansion post). So you'll have to deal with only one companion at the start then expand to a lot with the diplomatic war (about one companion unlockable each time you help a side on new planets.)
  3. While discuting with a friend of mine we thought about a possibility that this expansion will in fact be kind of a SWTOR2. So , why not adding a new start at level 50 or 60. Character at this level are starting directly after the Nathema events and develop for the first months after. Starting already at level 50/60 the character won't be able to do any of the previous content. He will be ask to choose a faction (cf Galactic Faction) as either an emissary or an transfer (the same way as your level 70 character in fact) So as far as this SWTOR2 thing is concerned, there won't be much class story like from level 1-50 so adding a new class could be a true possibility. I present to you : The "Faction required" Officer (Empire / Republic) Is a special class , exactly identical for both main sides. Wearing a Blaster and a vibrosword the class is more of a Support option. Like the Captain on Lotro (for those who know) he will be able (depending of his choice) to be a Healer , a DPS or a tank while buffing in the three situations. Depending of your choice he will be fighting mid distance or close distance. A mix of sword attacks and blaster shots. As a Healer he will mainly use his blaster and will boost team moral and heal them on time. As a dps he will be able to boost friends attacks , reducing ennemy defense and all. While dealing himself a mix of shots and slash. As a tank he will be mainly fighting with his vibrosword while adding defence to the team and buffing them to be more resilient. He will wear an Heavy armour. This class would add a cool new style of fighter to the game and fit the new expansion perfectly.
  4. Well , I'm defending the ability for single player to do flasphoints. A story mod. And not having to deal with the CSI droid is a better way (more challenge)to do it. For older Flasphoint it's previous content so the 2nd companion won't be available. Again nothing new to the dev's they already have all that kind of stuff in place.
  5. We return to a conflict between Repu and Empire. Because of the war against Zakel they are weakened and have to rely on alliances with smaller factions that regained their independence during Zakellan rule. Part 1: Galactic Factions The player is therefore faced with a double choice by joining a faction. The factions are: ๐Ÿ”ธ Hutts Cartel ๐Ÿ”ธ Czerka ๐Ÿ”ธ Mandalorians ๐Ÿ”น Republic Army ๐Ÿ”น Adascorp ๐Ÿ”น Order of Shasa ๐Ÿ”ป Chiss ๐Ÿ”ป Imperial Army ๐Ÿ”ป Exchange ๐Ÿ”ธ neutral factions ๐Ÿ”น factions linked to the Republic ๐Ÿ”ป factions related to the Empire The player can join any faction, each faction is independent (except for the two factions of the rep and imperial armies that allow to change sides). Each faction has a place as headquarters. (Admiral Ship, Palace of Crimes, Headquarters etc). - Joining the faction leaves you bound to the original faction in the game mechanics. - a reputation and a seller related to her by faction. - Faction HQ functions like the Fleet Repu and Empire. Without the sellers just the mission computers, chests, GM etc. Part 2: Diplomatic War We are then confronted once a year with an extension. - new planet. - 2 groups in conflict on. - we help one (mission to be made as imperial / repu or as a member of your faction) - choice of the group to help in an intro mission. - Yavin IV style quest series (repeatable after) - 1 Flashpoint for each group. (so 2 Flashpoint) - 1 Operation to close the scenario. Part 2b: Local Conflict In the same spirit. On old planets open new areas (accessible only to players who have completed the "join a faction" mission). The factions that can be joined compete directly (Hutt vs. Mandalorians for example). Part 3: Situation Blocked 2 weeks vent. - A faction (joinable one) set up a blockade. - player must choose (with his faction) whether he helps or fights the blockade - Republic or Empire comes to oppose the blockade (each time according to the alignment of the faction) - kuat style missions in 2 modes History Mode: 1-2 players. Must attack a blockade cruiser and destroy 2 of the cruiser's 4 vital zones. (Shield Generator / Arming Systems / Engines / Communication) The choice is random (as for Kuat). We end with a 3rd zone which is the bridge where the ship's commander is (boss) Veteran fashion: 4 players, same principle but the 4 zones are to destroy + the boss. Part 3b The situation is the opposite for those who choose to defend the blockade. They will have to defend the ship by defending the vital areas before joining the ship's captain and defeating the boarding team. Part 4: Galactic history Creation of small stories in the form of chapters (in Kotfe kotet mode) at the discretion of the writers. Allowing the Story mode to developp , however could be done on annual expansions (Diplomatic War) Part 5: Weapon Master Joining his new faction leads to a quest to handle a weapon different from that of the original class. -> Jedi / sith: all types of weapons to the cac (double sabers etc) other classes: blaster <-> rifle <-> cannon. (Blaster <-> impossible) This adds a line of weapon skills with related experience, which, by going up, allows you to control new ability (related to the weapon) and reaching the Max level to unlock the weapon on the legacy page per player (like HK) Part 6: Galactic leader In the same order joining a faction you are assigned a quest (obligatory) allowing you to recruit a 2nd active companion (and evolve to 3 solo as in Kotor1 & 2). This partner will be different because representing a typical soldier of your faction, with his own experience he can receive skins completely changing his appearance (and his weapon) to be in line with your desires (skins to unlock with a seller with a required leader level + faction reputation) You will be able to choose his role as for your basic companion. Its presence is essential in view of the number of enemies of content related to the extension "galactic diplomacy" at the same time a group of 3 is more complicated to manage. - this partner will not be available in the old areas (only one partner bubble available) Part 7: Dev's Science ^^ We know with the Force alignement event that the Dev's know how to compute the data of who choose what. And with ranked PVP that they know how to compute scores. The idea is to make the results known at the end of events. (even for the annual Expansion) , one camp or the other victories defining if the Event is won by one party or the other. So WE as players wrote the Story of the Game. The Dev's still can developp their own story but the ultimate galactic balance will be forged by the players. For those who ask what happen if Empire won everything during two year , will the won the War ? Well since the dev's will choose who attack and who defend, plus the number of factions. A clear victor won't be designed by this system, only a tendency.
  6. Hi all, devs and living creatures. I have already spend a thread discussing few ideas to developp the game. But it was a lot of messages , bumping into each others, not easy to picture. I've done my homework and present to you the expansion ideao as a whole. I hope you will enjoy reading it , that I haven't made too many mistakes. If you think that's a good idea please support by a little message and spreading the word out there. If you have comments , made them interesting or accurate (don't say "I dont like this idea" because it won't help me neither the readers. Please note that a lot of things that I explained are ALREADY used in the game , including Weapons masterization and 3rd companion. These ideas doesn't revolutionize the game by adding new system (for which the Dev's probably don't have neither time nor money) but adding some rythme to the game. adding big events on a semester basis. New content every year. That's in my humble opinion what the game need. So let's all get along here.

  10. Quick question : do you think there's a point to bring back Dead or forgotten characters as companions ? They won't be able to chat with you I think. But could be a possibility to add a 3rd active companion (as it was the case in Kotor1 & 2). Would allow to have more ennemies and to fight them with a squad. In the process , adding pack of NPC as companions could be fun (standard republic or imparial troopers, thugs from the Cartel , Mandalorians warriors etc).
  11. Well we have to imagine playing the character from level 1 to 70. Wookies => You'll die before finishing the main story by all the roarrr of the characters But , a disguise maybe ? Bringing disguise for particular species could be a good way to add them in the game and not getting particular problems with the game mechanics.
  12. I was reflecting about possibilities to check all the boxes in this Expansion concept. Revamping the Conquest system could be a plus. As far as Diplomatic War is on the way we can assume that both Republic or Empire can block planets or try to. Like the Kuat missions, there could be a possibility that either faction (Could be Rep, Empire or even the medium faction). We have different previous examples such as Makeb (Hutt blockade) Kuat (Empire fighting the Republic over Kuat system). So let's say: Mandalorians made a blockade on a planet (an existing one to be on the Event-like system) , Tatooine. - You get your mission from your personnal ship (asking you to either goes to your new faction or your main one). - One Big faction will enter the fight to freed the planet , let's say Republic , -The Empire will side with the Mandalorians (discretly) (It's something we don't choose it's the script) So : -Republic will have Kuat-like mission (solo or group you gain more points by playing in group) trying to assault Mandalorians ships. Very similar to what we had to do on the Fortress during the war against Arcann. You win the mission by duelling the Mandalorian Commander on the command deck. So 5 area in total the fith area being the command deck with the Mandalorian commander. Playing solo you only have three area to do (including command desk) and you never know the two you'll get. When in group you have the full ship to destroy (Similar to the part with Darth Nihilus ship on Kotor2). So we have One-two player (Story mode) 4players (Veteran mode) 8 players mode (Legend mode). For the Operation I still not sure about what we do. Maybe you go with a Flagship (so a big version of the 4players mode). Or it's the result of the scenario and you confront Mandalore (or the Mandalorian commanding the Blockade Khomo Fett ? ). -Every faction will so have to make the choice to either fight the Mandalorians or side with them (each player making the choice, the devs just calculate the choices the same way the calculate the Light Side or Dark Side decisions (actually working) so players join a Two sided camp but ultimately your faction choice will be determined by the choice most players on your faction made. So a storyline will be official. - Your choice make you join the the A camp (Mandalorians) or the B camp (Republic) (N:B : You can choose to fight your own as a Mandalorian (being in fact true to your main faction or just wanting to be a Dar'manda xD ) or just doesn't think that the Republic should attack the Mandalorians (you get it , you can make every choice you want even the unlogical ones). - "A" camp players will not attack Mandalorians ships (obviously) so I figure out that the system for attacking players works the same , just you have to defend the ships. (Same area that for B camp players) ultimately you have to clean the ships of intruders (Republic soldiers and jedi). The ennemy reach the Command Deck where you join the Mandalorian commander to fight the Main assault team. (Works the same for number of players , 1-2 only clean 2 area and the defend the Com Deck, 4 players have the whole ship to defend, for the Operation ...well I don't know , maybe just attacking the Ennemy Flagship ...(so you can also say that Mandalorian side will attack Republic ships). Two possibilities so.... Either way is good I think... -Anyway, at the end of the event there should be a way to know the result (by calculating the number of victory for each camp). PVP: I don't know what to do really. Could be a possibility one ship could be held as an PVP arena ...For the time of the event. Galactic Fighter ! Well easy way to do , just adding some missions where you fight Mandalorians starfighter and try to damage ships. Again more like in EABattlefront2 "A" side defend the ships "B" side attack them (and so they fight each other). What do we gain ? Well scenario wise we add things to the Game. GSF content. A vendor (could be a reputation added, for these events) will grant you armor and stuff , decorations etc. What do you think ?

  15. Well it's totally possible to add that kind of society , like the 6th Line (the jedi on Ziost). So let's say the 7th Line could be added. The question is : why an Imperial character would join them ? Outside of being accurate with his choice during Iokath. Basically: Adding The Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire as Medium faction would allow the player to officially switch side (while still being referred in game mechanics as a Republic or Imperial character). For adding more good guys faction I would say some jedi Covenant , The Selkath or Shasa Order ? , Adascorp (could be on the good guys side since Zayne Carrick story ^^). what do you think ?
  16. As I've stated that Storyline could be added for each medium faction. It could be easier for the Dev's to developp story concerning mutliple faction. For example Black Sun could be opposed to the Hutts while trying to corrupt a system. Corrupting could be a new "War" amongst factions like: Cartel Black Sun Czerka A whole scenario in little chapters (KotFE like). Could be crossed with a more classic war between Mandalorians / Republic / Empire. If we are ok with "Cold War" style scenario on planets (Kashyyk explanation) there also could be direct Battle between Empire and Republic , while the Underground try to take profits from refugees (Kotor 2 Nar Shaddaa) or steal technologies (CZ-198) or more. Mandalorians raid the planets trying to find a good fight in the War or just steal ammunitions or weapons (depending if you're on the good or the bad side) while Republic and Empire fight for the Planet itself. What's the difference between that and "Diplomlatic War" scenarios ? Well that's a Event , it's valid only while it stays. Could be up for a Month for exemple. Everybordy eligible (VIP 70+) that will motivate peoples to suscribe (even for a Month it's easy to see benefits), plus you'll gain goodies for participating , (could be a style to put on your character) there also could be trophies like for PVP ranked Season, Titles etc... Add the possibility for the player who miss it to buy in the Cartel Market the ability to play the scenario (so let's say 5 chapter for the whole event). Possibly adding levels (story mode : solo / Veteran mode: Solo but difficult / legend: group mode ? why not) So , - 1 story - 5 chapters - A storyline for each faction (similar for some only minor changes just like the changes there was between Empire and Republic on CZ-198) - Event-like form once in a year. What's your opinion ? (It's not instead of everything i've explained so far , just a thing more story oriented content).

  18. I think that we made a choice. Joining with either Republic or Empire on Iokath is a choice. And since The Alliance is no more in position to weight on a Galactic scale. So basically we're back to a Republic vs Empire conflict GOOD now check my post: "Expansion Diplomatic War"
  19. So you guys put a Wampa pet on the Cartel Market but won't put the armor ? Common' .... It's just as easy , you copy the Mandalorian Hunter set, you add jetpack , shoulder pads, heavy helmet and heavy belt and sold it directly for .....let's say 2000CC , and you make me happy (and probably a lot of peoples too). Count that we will unlock it for the whole account and you make 400CC more to pay. It's easy money while doing great things

  21. Well the idea of smaller faction is that theses factions are going to help either the Republic or the Empire at Galaxy level , I don't see the green jedi or the CorSec being able to. But yeah mainly there's "bad guys". - We could add Jedi Order as an ally but it wouldnt be logical that Empire players join them...? - Galactic Senate but again , not seeing Empire player joining forces with them Or , we just assume that you leave your faction to join a multi faction game... There would be still Empire Player and republic player but you just can join any faction you want. Could be huge but I don't know if it's possible. Either way , CorSec, Green Jedi or other small factions can be on Planets Crisis , you can't join them as much as you can join the Mandalorians or the Hutts but still sides with them (and Unlock the Reputation on your legacy ) Basically I don't see other Medium faction other than the one I've listed and maybe the Chiss which i totally forgot haha. And I guess there's a possibility that you join the faction you want as a Bad guy or a good guy ,all the Hutts aren't bad (Oggurob ) mandalorians being neutral aren't particulary friendly but it's their culture ^^. Czerka could work for a better galaxy (just kidding but hey ^^) Exchange and Black Suns are definitely bad guys ... Force Side are what they are so. It gives us : Bad guys Team : - Exchange - Black Sun - Dark Side Good Guys Team: - Light Side - Chiss ? -Jedi Order ? (or some kind of jedi group like Revan form in the Mandalorians wars) Neutral guys with own interest Team: -Hutts ? -Mandalorians -Czerka ?

  24. As far as Mandalorians are concerned: Dxun Specifically , this time we don't open doors to room but we add buildings to make our very own camp. It would be a bit like yavin (i use Yavin as Dxun for now^^) Would be very cool to have a wild jungle with beast around the camp . ________________________________________________________ I always thought that we should get Tower with appartement on it , like on Taris in Kotor 1 , we would then shared the tower with other players. Each floor would have One big flat 2 medium and 4 small , so there would be a lot of floors with elevator and so you could do your life in a neighborhood With this system a lot of planets could get "fortress" easily. You also could add neighborhood more classic with littles house like there's in so many games
