  1. It's been mentioned before, but it would be cool to allow a player to become your apprentice in the game. I would envision something like both players having to appear before the Jedi Council for it to be approved (of course either player would always have the option to drop the master or apprentice role). ...perhaps the apprentice gains xp bonuses while questing as an apprentice, and maybe a master could also be a mobile source for learning new skills. I also think it would be appropriate to group master/apprentice by their class. ...perhaps even some ability to allow the 2 to work together as a team in a group, which might require that the 50 gets nerfed to an appropriate level for the apprentice. Maybe give the 50 daily comms for the effort. Might be a nice change of pace from the repetitive 50 dailies grind.
  2. Yeah OK, but still... chest, legs, boots, gloves, and hat, that match for under 2k! Great starter set for a conselor... and when 1.3 hits that will soon be open to everyone.
  3. ...wasn't really trolling you. More of a slam on that ugly gear. But yeah, as I re-read it, comes across that way. "so pardon my tone, was unintended" There are better gears to make than that war hero stuff. I'm not wasting anymore mats on crit-crafting til after 1.3 hits and I think I'll be making nothing but the cheapest mat items like green bracers for the augment kit byproducts. The note about it costing more to craft aug-kits for Armstechs is interesting, I know for synths the cheapest items are green level 50 bracers that only take 2 each of Upari Crystal and a stone fragment. So 20 each of an easily attainable material via dailies should get me 1 aug-kit. What's it gonna cost in mats for an Armstech?
  4. I'll put in the bug report... Seems like the easy way to fix it would be with one of those handy-dandy target reticles tracking along on the ground beneath the thing! I even tried changing my graphic settings from "High" to "Low" and nothing... I hate being defeated by the graphics card boss!
  5. You need to be asking for moddable shotgun schematics then...
  6. Hey would one of you get on the Jedi Covenant server and put some orange shotguns on the GTN? I been looking for one of those FOREVER!!! ...and wouldn't think twice about throwing down 100k even for a non-aug version. Doc is a favorite companion for MANY Jedi and his offhand is hard to find. Wait can armstechs make moddable shotguns? ...if so, man you guys are missing a market.
  7. Yeah, I never wore Tionese... that was Doc's outfit, at least until he started growing into some Columi. He can hold his own now, which enables me to solo every daily H2 with Doc if needed. (takes a LONG time though with my DPS )
  8. ...you can also buy em with level 50 Daily Commendations. Personally however, I wouldn't waste my comms on them.
  9. Aside from "mod laundering" between your alts, the legacy gear really has very little appeal for its pricetag... I've come to the conclusion that it's priced so high for the laundering ability alone. Therefore, it seems to be a poor purchase choice for a cash-strapped first character. Once update 1.3 hits, adaptable social gear is a MUCH better (dirt cheap) alternative for your first character. And if you're a conselor (legacy or not) I'm not sure why I don't see more of you running around in the Coruscant elegant dress attire right now? ...a complete moddable matching orange set for like 2k total!
  10. Ship yes, planets no... Planet load times are too long and you can actually miss the next PvP pop. I experienced this when we had the Rakghoul event on Tatooine that shifted populations to a planet rather than the fleet for awhile. Edit: but then again, if all you want is a terminal and you're on the planet anyway... I guess it wouldn't hurt.
  11. ^^^ you found an 8-10 yr old kid is what you found... (I think the community forgets they exist) Next time throw em a piece of decent gear as you leave, that is, if they can figure out how trade works... On a side note, the other day I had to redo my matrix cube, so went back to the temple on Coruscant. For kicks I stood around for maybe 5-10 mins and just watched some folks. One of the lower-levels saw me standing there and actually did a respectful bow emote which I thought was kinda neat... granted they could've been mocking my presence but it was interesting.
  12. Why do people behave differently when driving in their cars? ...it's no different here, and should come as no surprise at all. Get thicker skin!
  13. It's possible these lowbies weren't new players at all... they could've just been a couple level 50 alts that wanted to be power-leveled to fleet ASAP so they could begin their crafting careers for their mains. ...or who knows? Maybe they were fresh lowbies that the 50 is friends with and he's just anxious to help them get to his level so they can play together. So what? Best to just play "your" game and let others play "their" game...
  14. I mean literally "can't see it" as in graphics glitch... it's just not there. I mentioned that I've tried all sorts of camera angles and I'm at 100% zoom already. I don't see it AT ALL. I don't see it come off the wall, I don't see it move into position, I don't see it hovering... nothing. However, if I die and I'm on the outskirts of the arena area, I can see it perfectly. It only seems to happen when I'm pulling aggro on SOA.
  15. As a tank, I notice that in the final stage fight with SOA, I find it nearly impossbile to see the drill. I think it's a camera bug or something, because if I die, I notice that I can see the thing fine when viewing the battle from a distance, but when I'm up pulling aggro on SOA, I can't see the thing at all!!! Of course, this is very aggravating to me because other people in the group are sitting there saying, "Why aren't you pulling SOA to the drill?" ...and I have to say, I can't see the thing. I don't see it when it first comes off the wall, or when it's hovering. I've tried all sorts of camera angles, have max zoom set to 100%, zoomed all the way out, nothing seems to help... Is this a bug?
  16. For my Guardian, the guard ability is associated with my Soresu Defensive Saber Form (not spec tree) which I simply get as an ability for choosing Guardian. Lately, I've been favoring using the DPS spec tree in which case, I also favor the Offensive Shien Form. However, I can easily toggle my saber stance, even during combat, to pick up the guard if needed. I suspect Juggs are similar in that respect...
  17. Last night I ran the dailies on Black Hole and got unusually good drops from the basic mobs on that first area mission. I rec'd a pair of purple boots and a set of greaves, both of prototype quality stocked with all 50 lvl purple armor/mods/enh... Later on the same run, one of the mobs outside of the engineers area dropped a blue belt. Just wondering if others noticed this or if it was just some freak occurance? ...either one of those single prototype drops far exceeds the drops from the three H2's on Ilum and Belsavis combined! Seems like they may have significantly upped the BH drop quality with this last update on the 22nd. If this is the new norm for drops in Black Hole, I may no longer have any reason to run those other H2's.
  18. Whatcha talkin bout? ...there already is a way to get them! Do the space missions! ...you get Fleet Commendations that can be traded in for a Grade 7 Crafting Material box. The box drops Biometric Crystals and a few other very hard to get items. I think the Bio-Crystals are actuallly the non-crit default for the box contents. I've rec'd as many as 3 of the Bio-Crystals in one box! The boxes aren't that expensive either, like 125 coms. (there's also a grade 8 crafting material box, so make sure you pick the grade 7 box if you want the bio-crystals)
  19. If you were actually a developer/programmer for this game, I'd say OK fine... they acknowledge it doesn't make sense but it's hard to fix for some reason. I'd put in the same category as set bonuses not transferring with Battlemaster Gear... and say fine, it's not logical but I'll live with it. ...whatever. However, rather than speculate on why the programming/structure might have to be broken, can we not agree that it doesn't make any sense that these items appear green rather than orange and then leave it to the developers as a valid suggestion for improvement? You speculate it's hard to fix; I'm speculating that it's no more difficult to fix than the orange items prior to 1.2 that previously appeared blue in my crafting schematics. I don't recall that there has ever been any requirement that moddable gear should not appear orange if it's only usable by a companion. Your statement in that regard may be true, but I think it's merely coincidental. Is this not a reasonable suggestion? I'm a little surprised that no response on this thread has actually agreed or disagreed with me yet.
  20. OK, then the problem is more widespread than I thought... My suggestion is that all of these moddable items appear ORANGE for the sake of consistency. I've conditioned myself (as I'm sure many others have) to scan a character inventory and work toward replacing the green/blues with orange/purples. Since there appears to be no difference in function between the green and orange moddable armaments, the difference in colors seems as though it was most likely just an oversight that now should be fixed in a patch.
  21. Is this a bug? ...oversight? Not really sure why the various customizable droid parts appear green as opposed to orange? My M1-4X companion came with a few pieces that could hold mods and I didn't realize it at all... in fact I was out scouring the GTN for an orange rifle for him, finally found one, and then as I go to equip it, I realize his green rifle turret is moddable! ...and apparently this is true for the Cybertech custom moddable pieces you can craft; they appear green??? Does this make any sense?
  22. Could you make the interactive icons for threads a little bigger? For instance, it is very difficult to select the little tini-tiny arrow to go to first new post if you happen to be using a touchpad device. In this case, it is grouped very close to username and I often find myself at the user info page instead of the last post.
  23. I'd like the keybindings to ALSO be associated with the saved user interface! It's a real pain having to re-map those on every toon... And please, give me the ability to auto-loot the area for: 1) credits only 2) all non-junk items
  24. Waterworld! ...like Naboo or Manaan. Loved those underwater missions in KOTOR. ...submarine speeder ports between underworld bubble-city locations.
