That doesn't sound like the "good old days", that just sounds like a bunch of frustration designed to alienate anyone whom doesn't have a "More Uber then Thou" attitude. So please, to be blunt put away your ego bloat attitude. You're not somehow a better or more intelligent human being just because you apparently think it's perfectly fine to grief someone on a PvE server. I think the warning I'd put on most games is "Those with ego bloat and a more uber then thou attitude need not play". Feel free to try to claim I am "QQing" or whatever other tripe you wish to claim. It will only prove what I am saying about you having an elitist ego bloated more uber then though attitude.

I admit I'm doing this in part to bump the thread. For what it's worth, I checked both my title list on my character sheet window and the codex entries, and I was showing 8/9. I haven't logged in since about noon pacific time, and I did file a petition with CS, so I'll see if I now have the title and/or if CS resolved the issue. If I don't do an addendum to this post, assume I'm still bugged with regards to the title. Not a HUGE deal, but it would be nice to have it, if nothing else to say "Yes, see...I participated in the live event, look at my neat title".

It's a neat idea, but IMO a world event should have at least most of it's reward avaliable to the general population. Having it end with a pvp battle might make it hard or almost impossible to finish for those that never pvp, especially level 50's without any gear with expertise.

I understand what you're saying, but to me it isn't an issue. The unusual colors should be rare and/or limited as far as the amount of time one can take to buy them. I have one Cyan and a couple purple crystals stockpiled but at the same time even if I didn't I'd still feel the same way. There should be items in a MMO that are at least somewhat exclusive. I'm not saying that people should be elitist, in fact I often show disregard toward people that have what I call a "More uber then thou" outlook. I am saying that there should be items that aren't too easy to get. If everything was easy, then what's the point in playing? Anyway, schematics if you don't mind a common color like blue or red at the same quality level can be had pretty easily from the pve daily vendors, and I forget the exact color but the pvp one has some schematics for sale via commendations, I think some gems also (I'd have to check again to be sure on details on the pvp one). So at least at that quality level they are easy to get. If you don't mind green/black, the Rakghoul event vendor north of the crash site has a selection at both that quality level and level 30 or 31 to use. Anyway, I understand wanting an unusual color, but at the same time the more unusual items, even if in this case it's just appearance has to have some limitation. Even the green/black has one in a way, since one has to quest (or get sick and blow up a lot) to get enough Rakghoul DNA to buy them, and I assume they will be pulling that vendor in a month or two when they decide to end the event and/or when 1.3 launches. (I only read a few comments in, so my post reflects that, my apolgies if I posted something that has been already said).

Hello, (Moderators, if there's a current thread on this issue, please feel free to merge this one into it) Anyway, I just noticed this item in the patch notes for today, April 19th: "•Players who were not properly granted final event codex entry and title for defeating Infected Trapjaw, Zama Brak, and Urtagh will be granted both the title and codex entry." To the best of my knowledge, I have everything done to get the title on my one character who's both killed all 3 bosses and done every event quest that has a codex entry, and yet I don't have the title as of this morning. I have the five codex entries from questing, and the other 3 from killing all of the world bosses. That makes 8, I understand the 9th entry is gained from the reward of the title itself? If I am in error, and I'm missing something please let me know. Again, I have the 5 from questing, and have killed all 3 world bosses, I am showing 8/9 now still, no 9th entry and title. To be clear, I also did the quest for the crimson rakghoul pet, so I know I'm not missing that one. (Or am I misunderstading the patch? Will I need to kill one of the world bosses again to trigger the title?)

I haven't read any post other then yours OP so I don't know if this was mentioned yet, but the logical reason is probably so that if it runs later then 8 hours, it's not eating too far into the morning of the 12th. 1.2 is obviously a larger patch then the ones between 1.1 and 1.2, even the ones that ran 8 hours. They are just covering their bases. Anyway, no matter what time they pick, SOMEONE will be inconveinced somewhere. I don't think their intention is to alienate anyone. I'm IN the Pacific timezone so I'm in one of the areas you claim will be "alienated". I can handle that the game will get pulled down at 10pm, and yes I often do play past 10pm Pacific time. But then again I don't assume that a MMO with a fairly large player base is going to base everything on my personal schedule and needs either.

What I've been personally doing is buying armor for companions that I didn't bother to gear up well. Sure, it's not like companions will use expertise stat, but at least the ones I didn't bother with other then affection rating are in gear approprite for their level now.

Well, then end your subscription then if you're THAT impatient. The way I see it, it's at MOST two weeks away now. Current rumors/assumptions are that it's end of this week. They are doing website maintance starting at 2AM Central time, they might post when 1.2 is being launched after that is done. Even if not, I can handle waiting a week or two more if it means there's less bugs. That and look at it this way, gives you a chance to maybe get in another legacy level, or more social level(s), it looks like some of the legacy features are free with high social, but cost credits if one doesn't have high social even if one has enough legacy to unlock it. Then again, maybe go ahead and cancel, the way things work it will probably come out the day after your sub ends.

Yes and no. Consider this. Let's say IRL I walk up to a random stranger, and say hello to pass the time. Okay, they may have on a wedding ring. Maybe they even have a child with them. But past that, I won't know their family tree. And unless the conversation graviates toward family and they do share whom they are related to, even after the conversation I won't know such details from a random stranger past that 1) Ring on the left ring finger, so probably married and 2) Kid following them around, more likely then not their child. Otherwise, I'd not mind if if one could inspect someone and see the family tree, but in another sense it really doesn't make much sense. Mind you, I'd not mind it if one could make such optional as far as being displayed. Those that want to display it upon inspection can, those that don't can shut that off. Then I'd have much less issues with it.

OP: One thing to consider is that this is the first set of items added to the legacy features. I don't have it bookmarked, but I do remember them saying that they will add the ability to tie in companions and other players into your legacy family tree for instance. So, we might not see it in 1.2, but 1.3 or 1.4 we may see the ability to link a family tree or other items to companions and/or other player's characters. Someone else pointed this out, but we will be able to do some things for our companions already though. I do remember that we'll be able to teach a companion how to dance for instance, and maybe other emotes so that they don't just stand there when not in combat. As an aside, although yes it would be great if every single feature that has ever been discussed or considered was part of 1.2, I do understand that they need to release it in chunks, not all at once. It lets them mesh it into the game as it stand easier and not overload it trying to patch in too much at once, and also lets them develop things over time, along with bug test things in secitons, not be forced to bugtest it all at once. So, I don't mind it if we don't get every feature that's been discussed or requested in 1.2.

Easy add or not, what is wrong with suggesting a feature? Either the developers 1) Love the idea, add it in ASAP (I'd assume with 1.3 since 1.2 is probably only a couple weeks away now), 2) They hate the idea and ignore the suggestion or 3) They like the idea, write it down but put it on the back burner for now, to work on it when they need more features for a patch later on. So yes, I'd like them to work on things that progress the game and current bugs and so forth, if they can also wedge in this with a major patch, what is the issue? As an aside, EQ2 also has this, I saw another post saying WoW has this feature. So it's not like it's uncommon at all with other MMO's as an aside.

I've only played one other MMO, but usually they don't do refunds in money or other tokens/shards/whatever when they do a cost change in a MMO. Usually due to how many they would have to refund. Think about what percentage has at least speeder 1 license on at least one character now. It would be obnoxious for them to do that massive of a refund. Not saying they won't, but I am saying I wouldn't expect it.

Actually, ALL play styles need to be addressed. Alienating one play base just because it's not how YOU wish to enjoy the game does just as much damage. Your "more uber then thou" mentality is what ruins many a MMO in my opinion also. The game does NOT exist only for the hardcore player. In my opinion, arrogant "my playstyle matters, the other playstyles don't" posts like YOURS should be ignored.

I didn't skip it since it fit my character to flirt with her the first chance one gets, but one can skip the first flirt, the one with 50 darkside points, and still get romance options later, from what I understand.

Oh thanks, I think I just missed that. Well, I went ahead and bought look #6 yesterday and happy with it, so that works. Now to find a headband that works, when I don't have a high amount of social points (just social one).

I'm missing something, but I'm not seeing a difference between Kira #6 and Kira #8. Also, my social ability is only at rank 1 right now, I just haven't been grouping a lot (or at least not a lot where I have a lot of conversation). Anyway, is their a light armor circlet, preferably orange that doesn't require social rank I can put on her? I'd even take a decent blue for my level (36th right now, I'm in the middle of the Balmorra quests). I found a medium somewhere for my sentinel once, can't remember..nor can I remember if they had a light for sale as well, and can't remember if I paid credits or commerative medals for it either.

I heard it's fixed, but as stated in my other post, I'm only level 36 on my main/Jedi Sentinel right now, over on Balmorra to be specific. But so far based on what I know she's said and done everything she should have for someone who's romancing her.

Okay, not trying to troll per-se, but consider this: 1) They know about the bug. Continuing to get upset here won't do anything to fix it. 2) You have yet to consider that it could very well be on their list of things to do, but that there are issues of a higher priority first, and/or they have yet to nail down why she keeps doing this and thus have no fix yet. 3) To be blunt, if you don't like replies to YOUR post, don't read them. It's a forum, people will reply. Not every reply will be one you like. Only way to avoid that is to not post. I'm NOT saying you have no right to post, obviously you do. BUT, people have a right to reply. So again, before you say "Don't like it, don't read", I do suggest you apply said rules to yourself as well.
