  1. Been playing a few weeks after launch. My old server was death wind corridor then I transferred to Prophecy of the Five. Is there any other filipinos there? Also, are you guys playing from Philippines? Is it okay to play in north american servers while in Phiippines? 'Coz I was planning to go back on the end of the year and I'm wondring if I should stick in my north american server or create a char in the pacific/asian servers. Salamat!
  2. I have to say that the NORSE build is the best dps AP spec in pvp due to the combination of PFT + multiple enemies. I've tried all specs in PvP, and sticked with AP because it has more fire in it and i like catching people killing them upfront and after trying this spec it made me realize how overrated RS is. After speccing to NORSE, my total dam on wzs increased with consistency. Maybe because I'm used to setting up the PFT to hit multiple enemies. I just want to say how good this spec is in terms of dps because i've read somewhere that it is below AP (with RS), but as I play it, it's a lot higher. I also noticed that having a high crit rating helps this spec due to PWS, and my unskilled rail shot crits for >2k+ when im far from an enemy and ED is on CD. I don't want to boast, but for the love of this build, I've beaten the best maras and snipers in total dam in wzs on our server with this spec. Kudos to you theOpf and those guys who helped you discover this build!
  3. Im just comparing ap and pyros not all trees, corrected it now. I Agree with all your points except for quell and HO. I think quell is important for more control. I dont have time to explain it now but i would recommend to spend 2 points on it. Youre using OH defensively, i usually use it while approaching an enemy to be slow and knockbackproof and when catching someone when its needed.
  4. We all know that pyro is ahead of ap because pyro's proc is op pre-1.2, so being able to use ap and make it effective in pvp is the point of discussion. 1.2 is not far and im confident APs gonna be in line or above pyro due to cd on ppa and slight buff on AP.
  5. Played both specs at 50 and had been a pyro follower because of its insane proc that is OP. 2 weeks ago i decided to respec to AP out of boredom coz pyro's too easy to handle. Seriously, heat management with pyro isnt hard if youre a good player. AP on the other hand demands more skill for me because you have to keep yourself in 10m range and below while unloading everythng continuously because of good heat management. I Do agree that compared to pyro i wasnt able to get 12 medals YET with ap, but i managed to squeeze it up to 11. With the fact that pyro is currently OP, my result puts ap behind pyro by a low percentage in dps. Utility and mobility-wise, between pyro and ap, its ap all the way. Also, i do think ap is a powerful spec even without patch 1.2. Its just a lot of people have difficulty making it effective because pyro takes less effort to get the result which makes it a better option.
  6. What? It is the best looking ship for me among all classes. it looks just like jango's ship in ep 2, a mandalorian made ship using advanced technology.
  7. i agree that pyro doesn't really need it, but i don't think only ST needs it. PT are considered to be a melee class and it needs a gap closer. Yah, theres grapple, but it has limitations like long cd, resolve, buggy animations that makes you pull someone get stucked on the platform above. As i see it, grapple is a tanking talent and jc will make sense in the ap tree which is focused in melee range.
  8. I was thinking about the thread starter's idea this morning and found an existing discussion about it so im reviving this thread coz i think it does really makes sense for PTs. Im also in favor of the switch with the same reasons given by the TS.
  9. just keep on using your quell whenever they're channeling and kill the medic first if you're having a hard time with the guy in the middle. just went with a dps AP build with mako here.

  11. That's what i thought of. The buff with FT will render it useful enough with AP spec when it goes live. But, I think FS will also work as a replacement, though FT will lose its functionality in pvp.
  12. What if they change APs proto FT with proto FS? I know it will be easier to make it land, but would it be effective? We can easily relate this to Jugg Rage spec which is basically focused on smash. I think it will be better. Opinions?
  13. Yes, this is true. They both produce the same damage most of the time. The only reason pyro can extend more of its DPS is because of the few keybinds that you have to use to reach its max damage potential making it a lot easier. Fewer buttons (pyro) vs more buttons (AP) yield the same DPS output. AP needs more skill IMO, without fast fingers and proper rotation you will fall back. It's just a the ease of gameplay.
  14. I agree with you, but most of PTs damaging talents are also in mid-short range except from the pyro tree. What I'm trying to say, at least this talent should be easily available for AP and ST tree. They could put huge heat cost for this talent just t make it balanced among all trees. Pyro lacks heat venting so using it will be situational only, whereas AP can use it more often. Was it a baseline talent? From what i've heard it was low in the Shield tree before they've decided to bring it up.
  15. Just like Sith Juggs, PTs have the ability to tank and DPS depends on the player's liking. Since force jump is a tied ability for SWs. Why not make jet charge a bound ability for PTs. In addition, I don't see why jet charge should be in the ST tree because BHs as everyone knows, have it in their armor. PTs are supposed to be melee spec compared to the other AC which is ranged which indicates the need for this talent. This shouldn't be a problem because the devs can easily replace jet charge with a new ability that will better suit the ST tree. I've played both classes in 50 and finish 80% of the time on top of every PvP match and I've just noticed that compared to Juggs, PTs have the same DPS, equal utility, and its falling back in mobility.
  16. Agreed, the best thing that they can do is to lower the CD to 3 to 4 secs or fix the heat management of pyro tree. PPA is not just our main source of dps but also of venting heat.
  17. I was a CP follower from lv1 up to 50. Based on my experience, 10-49 pvp bracket with CP is easy especially huttball. I average 7-9 medals with it. After a while of pvp-ing, I got curious about the full dps build 4/6/31 so i gave it a try. I wasn't expecting it but it is actually easier to get medals from damage. I can still get medals from taunting only adding a total of 8-10 medals per match. At first I don't want to change CP because of JC, but after trying pyrotech there's no going back.

  19. It should only be available for powertechs just like boba fett and shae vizla (bh in deceived trailer). I also saw bh trainers who carries a blaster rifle so they should give us that. Mercenaries are just like jango, cad bane and calo nord.
  20. All depends to you bro. What i did was level st up to 21, 2 ap then pt 18. Didnt hve any problem with it coz ul tank with mobility from jc.

And yah, ive killed or decreased 40-50% of my enemies' lives before overheating just by this talent giving my teammates an easy time finishng em off. Not to boast, but i get the top place in pvp 80 to 90% of the time so i should know what im doing.

  23. I've decided to go cybertech and scavenging for my 1st two. What could be the best third CS for me? im thinking of slicing but i guess CT already have the potential to make good profits. Im gonna go for endgame pvp.
