  1. Is it normal for me to run out of mana in battles? Or am I doing something wrong? Again, I am a Sage so I have to use my mana whether it is for healing or offense as I am too weak to get close and attack with my lightsaber. I never ran out of mana as a dps or tank.
  2. So it really isn't a matter of me sucking but mostly Qyzon sucking as a tank? I guess I should not be surprised because in battles I always find myself drawing all of the agro from like 3 enemies while he is just drawing agro on 1. Is he the only tank companion for the Jedi Consular? Also if I am screwed til my first DPS companion, what should I do? Should I spec DPS now and then back to healer when I get my DPS companion? Also after my Consular, I plan on playing as an Imperial Agent (Operative/Healer). Is it the same? Or are the tank companions better?
  3. Hey everyone! I am back after nearly a 1 long hiatus. I found sudden interest in the game now that I can play the class quest with 12x XP so that I do not have the grind out all of those small little planet quest, asside from the major planet arc quest. With that being said, I am playing as a level 19 healer (Jedi Sage) and it is difficult. Previously I played as a Tank and DPS character and playing the class stories was a breeze cause I had a large pool of health and defensive abilities as a Tank (and my DPS companions to grind down enemies) and as a DPS character, I had enough power to quickly eliminate threats before it took much of a toll on me. However playing as a Healer it is much more difficult. Because of me being a healer, I am focused on support and less DPS. I have Qyzon(sp?) as my tanking companion but he sucks at damage. I am at a spot here on Taris where I must defeat this Golden/Elite boss but I always get wiped. When the battle starts, I throw a few attacks on him then I immediately start the healing process for Qyzon, however, eventually my Force/mana runs out and Qyzon gets shredded like wet toilet paper. By the time this happens the boss is down to about 25% health and I am at like 5% mana which means I cannot heal myself nor can I cast offensive force abilities. As you may know, I eventually get killed. I have tried a few variations of the strategy I have outlined above but I am always killed. Normally so far I have had great luck with Golden/Elite enemies, but they were always 3-4 levels below me. Now this boss I believe is just one level below me so that level range isn't that large. What am I doing wrong? I have had stories of players who want to play as endgame PvE/PvP healers level their characters as DPS specs and then once they hit endgame, redo their skill trees/abilities to focus more on healing. I heard tank players do something similar as they level their players as DPS then at endgame realign the abilities to be Tank focused. I thought about doing this, but because this is my first time playing as a healer, I wanted to "practice" my healing as I level so by the time I hit level 55 or so and begin endgame HM Flashpoints/Operations and level 55 PvP Warzones, I would have a good grasp on my abilities, keybinding placements, rotations and so on and so forth. I do not want to have to get all the way to endgame to begin "learning" how to play as a Healer after I have spent the last 55 levels playing as a DPS. However, should I go this strategy or stick it out as a healer? Obviously all healer players are welcome to reply, not just Jedi Sage players. Any advice no matter how harsh is appreciated.
  4. Will each class have just one mission in Shadow of Revan, lasting for about 10 min or so? Or would it be a chain of 5 or 6 missions for each class?
  5. I have been a fan of SWTOR since it was announced way back in 2009 I believe and have followed the game since. I was there when it launch, being part of the wave of people who were granted early 2 weeks access for pre-ordering. I leveled a Sith Warrior to 50, enjoyed some endgame at the time (2012) and eventually lost interest. I came right after the Hutt Cartel expansion was released but didn't stick around long because of work and school. Also I just did not have the time to grind all the way up to level 55. However there have been some recent events which has gotten me interested in SWTOR once again. First off, the new Revan expansion and the ability to goto level 60. Also the fact that I get 12x XP boost for class missions which is great! This means that I can exclusively do class missions and planet main/core missions (not side missions or heroics) and be able to get to level 50 at a steady pace. Once at 50, I can explore all of the Hutt Cartel expansion which will bring me to 55 and then to get ready for the Revan expansion! I am going to start over with two characters, a Jedi Consular (healer) and a Imperial Agent (Sniper). I will play these two characters at the same time all the way through 55! So yeah, I guess I am back and going to be around for a good time since my schedule has freed up greatly for the next 2 years or so! I understand that there are still many complaints I guess, but by now, I would assume that if you are here and a subscriber, that you probably have much interest in this game, which is far different from how it was in late 2011/early 2012 when 90% of the people here were complaining about this and that. I am also a PvP endgame player and I assume that things have gotten better in this department yes? Either way, it is going to feel like a brand new game for me in comparison to what I played in 2011/early 2012 and then in early 2013. I am sure that I am one of MANY similar stories of people who were here early on, left out of various reasons, and is now a subscriber again! I am a player on the Shadowlands server btw and I cannot wait to see you all there!!!!
  6. Whenever I am on the ship (And sometimes during story cutscenes) my companions would revert back to their default face in cutscenes. If they are wearing armor with a dye in it, that would to revert back to the original color for the armor. This is not just an annoying bug but a huge immersion breaker for me. Is there some way around this? Is this a known bug because I noticed this way back in summer of 2012 when I played just before leaving off to Army Basic Training. Now that I am back playing in summer 2013, that same problem is there. anyone else notice this?
  7. In terms of endgame, I would rather PvP. PvE could be fun, but I like the competitive nature of PvPing in Warzones.
  8. So this must be a VERY recent bug because just about a week or two ago, this never happened. I just noticed it yesterday.
  9. This didn't happen a long time ago when the game first game out and I played all the way up to summer 2012. But recently I have noticed that whenever I send my companion on a mission, get on a mount, then get off....it would return my companion from his mission. Is this a bug? Anyone else experiencing this? Thanks
  10. I do not know the proper name for them so I call them "Historic" outfits, meaning armor sets for characters in the KOTOR universe such as the Revan armor, Malak, Bastilla, Handmaiden and so on. I remember Bioware saying something like you can use dye modules on armor except the "historic" ones. However, when I was at the GTN I was just browsing through them and was previewing how they look on my character when I decided to add the dye colors that I had bought to the preview screen. I was able to change the primary/secondary colors in all of the "Historic" armors. Mind you this was just in the preview screen, not the actual screen where I insert the dye into the dye slot after you have purchased an item. So whats the truth to this? Could I essentially buy the Malak armor and use a Black/Black dye model on it? Or any color for that matter?
  11. Okay, thanks for the replies! I had no idea that the game's story took place over the course of years.
  12. Well if Republic and Imperial story takes place at the same time in the same "realm" then how do you explain situations like Balmorra and Taris where the outcome of one faction contradicts that of the other faction? What about Tattooine where the the outcome is virtually the same (boss wise) so you would have on one end a Jedi Consular taking out the boss while on the other end, an Imperial Agent taking down the same dude. So which one really happened? This is what is confusing me. On places like Nar Shaddaa it is okay because each faction has a TOTALLY different arc so the Republic arc victory wouldn't contradict the Empire victory on Nar Shaddaa, same goes for it's bonus series.
  13. It may be a silly question but one that has been bothering me fore a while. Long story short, do the stories of the Empire/Republic take place in the same universe or more like a parallel universe? I would like to believe that they take place in the same realm but there are plenty of faction story points that just contradict one another. On planets like Nar Shaddaa the Republic and Empire both have victories in the world arc as well as the Bonus Series arcs. The Republic's victory does not overshadow or contradict the Empire's victory on that planet and vice-versa. However, then you get to planets such as Balmorra and Taris where the Empire's victory on those planets contradicts the the Republic's victory and so on. This is true on various other planets as well. Then you have the whole issue of Revan and how that plays out on the Republic side vs the Empire side which again, contradicts each other. So is it safe to say that these arcs takes place in a parallel universe/realm where in one realm, the Republic is victorious while in the other the Empire is? Or do they take place in the same realm? As for a side question, does the Cartel Market XP boost stack with the Double XP? I've asked this many times in General chat and got two different answers. What about rested XP? Next, does Double XP/XP Boost go with Legacy XP as well? Thanks, and enjoy the game
  14. Alright, thanks. I just wanted to be sure. I am thinking that these characters were once ranged, then switched to melee and Bioware just forgot to switch the stats as well.
  15. For some reason all of the default Qyzen armors are +AIM and not +Strength. This is confusing because Qyzen is a melee character, not a ranged character. Yes, I understand that way back in the betas, Qyzen was a ranged character (should have stayed that way) but for some odd reason, Bioware changed him to be melee. However, it appears that Bioware forgot to change his primary stat which should now be Strength but is instead still AIM. So my question is, do I have to manually correct what Bioware forgot to do and stack Qyzen with Strength or should I still continue to stack him with AIM? Thanks
  16. Thank you for your suggestion. I went to the GTN to get all of the items I wanted. As I found out, I recieved the Aratech Nathian mount that I wanted in the Regulator Pack so I didn't have to drop 300k credits on the GTN for it. Thanks again.
  17. No it isn't a Troll post. I bought this game way back a launch and played it til like Summer 2012. Between Fall 2012-Now I have been in Army Basic Training, AIT, and now I am stationed in Seoul Korea. I just got back to playing SWTOR and the SWTOR today is FAR different from the SWTOR of July 2012. My question in this thread was legit, not trolling in any way. Sorry if it comes across like that however.
  18. So basically the Cartel Market is just one big Lottery? Wow, I feel so cheated..... I got the Black/Purple color dye that I want, but now I have to go through yet another "lottery" to get the top/bottom/boots that I want to use the black/purple colors on.....
  19. Okay, I want to get the Relaxed Jumpsuit Set for my character, so I purchased the Regulator Pack because it has it in there. Well I purchase the pack and claim it. Then I check everywhere, my inventory and collections but yet the Relaxed Jumpsuit isn't there! Is this like the color dye where I buy a pack and just hope that the item I want is in there? Is there a way to specifically purchase cartel items instead of buying the pack?
  20. Okay, so I just went to one character to purchase the white eyes upgrade. Then I exited out to create a new character (Human). I went the the eyes portion and there are still only 8 options for eyes, I do not see the option for white eyes. What am I doing wrong/missing?
  21. I mean what are they trying to prove? It is over 300k or under 300k, how on Earth does this effect my game experience? I could careless really, as long as there is a substantial amount of people to keep my server busy then I am happy and lately, my server has been really busy! Warzones are faster to get into now, getting Flashpoint groups are much easier, and I am actually completing more Heroics! I am having fun and shouldnt that be the only thing that matters?
  22. Does it really matter? Just play the game and enjoy it. If you don't enjoy it, stop playing and move along!
  23. Thanks for all the comments! It is nice to see that I am not the only one and that this IS an issue for many others. Hopefully if we can keep this type of discussion up [doesn't always have to be this thread] in regards to the frustrating and cluttered crafting menu, then hopefully Bioware would no longer consider this a "low priority" concern.
  24. Thing is, does Bioware even know about this? Maybe we just need to be a bit "louder" on this issue in the same way we were with the GTN menu. If we go silent, Bioware will think it is all good when it isn't. I am not saying that I am going to unsub if this doesn't get resolved, I would just like to know that Bioware does see this as an issue and is in the mode of getting it fixed, even if it isn't 1.4, as long as I know something is being done.
