  1. In the Dev Tracker Joveth has confirmed that the secret space mission is NOT the 10 additional space missions that are coming soon. The secret space mission is still being worked on.
  2. I actually think that's pretty darn cool. It builds interest in future events. I went back and was looking at some of the rackghoul event rewards, (I missed out on that event unfortunately) and the majority of them looked to be geared towards force users. I can see why people would feel left out, but I like the concept because it's different. I also think that the rewards aren't the only reason to participate in the event, the event itself sometimes is reason enough for playing. But that's just me.
  3. If they made the event 2 weeks long, people would want it to be 3 weeks long. It's a world event. It's supposed to be a limited time thing. That's part of the appeal. "Get it before it's gone!" type of thing. This event will be 8 days long and people are complaining about it being too short. The last event was 9 days long (I think) and everyone thought it was the perfect length? Does one extra day make that much difference?
  4. I haven't really had any problems completing the objectives so far. The one that took me the longest was the floor puzzle. The problem isn't the design mechanics of the quest, the problem is nobody wants to work together. When I did the turret quest there were about 6 people there. We just formed a line and chatted while we waited for the current person to finish. Took me about 4 minutes to complete. In the cantina doing the puzzle there were like 10 people there and everyone was spamming in general chat for everyone else to stop "click whoring" so other people could click the datapad. It literally all depends on the attitude of the people you run into. I personally am having a good ol' time with this event and I've met a couple of people who I might actually group up with in the future to boot!
  5. YES! YES! YES! YES! Someone who gets it! (In my opinion anyway)
  6. Ah I see. So once they announce an "addition" (I'm still confused on the definition of content so I'll call it an addition from now on) it ceases to be new? So even though an addition hasn't actually gone live, it is deemed old once it's announced? Cause if that's the case, I guess this game can never truly get any new additions unless they just put it straight into the game without warning.
  7. Geeeez. How many posts were there in this forum complaining about the fact that there's only been 1 world event? How many posts about how much the players would supposedly love a new world even because the last one was so fun? And then when the new world event comes, it's deemed to not even qualify as content? What exactly is content then? Is there a dictionary where I can find the definition of MMO content?
  8. Aha, so you can see the future! Could you let us know the date when you're going to stop being so cynical? I look forward to that.
  9. Then perhaps Bioware should hire you to be on their maintenance team because you've clearly got it all figured out. And if you read my response, you'd notice that I ended it with the "they" pronoun indicating my hypothetical response should be directed at the entire team. I think they've done a good job fixing bugs so far. You think they have not. I guess we'll just disagree on this one.
  10. That was your suggestion not mine. I do however notice that ONE employee response has condemned the ENTIRE Bioware staff according to this thread.
  11. It is true that they have less staff on hand now than they did when the game launched. However, it's also true that it takes less staff to keep something running than it does to start it up. For instance, it takes an entire construction crew to erect a building, but only a handful of maintenance people to keep the plumbing, electricity and heat working. I don't see it being a problem for them to adhere to a faster schedule of content release because they retained a lot of their developers and coders through the layoffs. What they didn't retain was a lot of the writers which makes me wonder how much class story/story driven content will be released that DOESN'T apply to operations. (Obviously those writers are still on staff) I would hate to see the class stories go away because I enjoy the heck out of them.
  12. I guess you'd prefer them to say something like "I'm sitting at my desk looking over the program right now attempting to figure out why the code is behaving in a manner that I didn't intend for it to behave in. I have no idea what's wrong with it, but I will have it fixed in 25 minutes. If I don't have it fixed in 25 minutes, I will resign and send you my checks instead because I will have failed you, the gamer, and the only practical and suitable compensation for your trouble is for me to give you the money I was scheduled to earn." Would that be an acceptable response for you? Seriously, if they're working on it, they can't do anything else except tell you they're working on it.
  13. Ah the general forum strikes again! A bug is discovered by the players. A player posts about the bug on the general forums. (I can't know if said player actually submitted a ticket so we'll leave that elephant in the room alone) A Bioware employee responds in the general forum acknowledging the bug and informing those who read this thread that the team is aware of and working on a fix. The general forum IMMEDIATELY proceeds to lambaste all Bioware employees for "putting the bug out" instead of testing it. Seriously? We're accusing Bioware of bugging their own game now? How much sense does it make for them to already have the group finder in the game and working, then put out a patch to fix something completely unrelated to the group finder but at the same time create a bug specific to the group finder and install it in the game?
  14. Whatever that freakin' jumpy, 2 lightsaber class on the imperial side is! Man those guys cut me down like a hot knife through butter!
  15. I can see dropping you at the fleet because most of the time you need to be on the fleet to turn in the daily quest, but today I was on Corellia, (you know how far the distance is between QT points on THAT planet) and I got in a group for Red Reaper only for 2 of the members to drop because they were trying to do a hardmode. BLEEARRRGHHHGH! Had to drive AAAAAAAAAAL THE WAY BACK TO CORELLIA. Growl.
  16. It's not a bug. The gate is "unlocked" for a specific amount of time every minute. If you respawn in the safe area right after the door has "locked" again, you have to wait until the "unlock" window comes around again. I'm not sure exactly how long the "unlock" window is, but it's not very long. I have never once been kicked from a WZ because I had to wait for the door to open. It has always opened before my timer was up.
  17. So you're frustrated with pvp because you can't beat all the people who've been lvl 50 longer than you. You don't like the disparity between yourself and a player who is wearing better gear than you? I would ask you, when you were pvping from lvls 1-49, and you were that lvl 40-49 guy who was just obliterating those lvl 10-20 guys because you had better gear and access to more skills than them, were you upset with the disparity then? If you don't like the gear grind that's one thing. But complaining about a guy who can kill you because he has better equipment than you is pointless. That guy who is wiping the floor with your face was wearing recruit gear at one point in time and he was getting his face smashed in too. Either keep plugging away, perhaps get some people to help you pound those war heroes down, or go play a different game that has pvp you like.
  18. Man the internet kills me. "WHY DON'T THE DEVS COMMUNICATE WITH US?!?!" Devs communicate directly using the forum that the internet wants them to use (even though they've been communicating consistently through multiple other forums) and IMMEDIATELY the internet explodes with insults and jibes at the dev who posts something. Its like you want them to post on these forums solely so that you can insult them.
  19. When EA made the announcement that TOR was going F2P (free to play) Bioware announced there would be new content coming in August. Granted, nothing is up on PTS yet but August is also not over yet. As far as I'm concerned, they've got about 21 days to put something out.
  20. Well, you're right in your assumption that I haven't done any ops yet. Wrong on all other counts but hey, that would just make you the standard forum poster. Uninformed and proud.
  21. What bugs are you talking about? I haven't experienced any issues with today's patch.
  22. If you read the most recent Q&A, the question of the cost of Legacy perks was asked and the team said it was something they were re-evaluating and looking into reducing. This change has been in the works for a while. Long before the F2P thing came about. In fact, this change is a perfect example of the dev team listening to the players and making a change based on player feedback which is something this board continues to accuse them of NOT doing.
