I'm a recent smashtard. It just makes it dumb to use other specs even from different classes. I have no trouble in saying the performance of the spec is obscene and should get fixed (and no, it's not just spammable autocrit aoe damage but also all the stuff that we get for "free"), and I can only laugh at the people who say smash is easily countered because I know they too are using smash and I know it's a lie because I use it.

Come on. The dynamics of 1v1 vs many vs many are totally different.

Now think again how they are in non 1v1. They're pretty much obscene. Or shall I say we are. Like Krozis I don't really like it because it makes it playing other specs a stupid choice and has a very low skill cap, but I've finally given up and joined the ranks.

After I got powertech/vanguard hybrid nerfed, it is time for smash. guildies have switched from their other respective classes to smashtard guardian, and I finally decided to give up on combat for good and go for smashtardation too because there's just no reason to play the other two trees. I recognize the smash nerf may take a bit more than usual given the boost to master strike and maybe the operative dps buff in the way but we'll get there sooner than you think.

Vanguard hybrid nerfed. Mission completed.

It was half assedly tried once.

And then the smashtard comes and laughs at your damage as he proceeds to autocrit for your "top tier" damage but to everyone around. With a shorter CD than you.

if you want range, drop it. And don't go commando either. Go gunslinger, which is a Properly Worknig gunnery commando. Or a dps sage if you prefer a bit more of maneouverability... just think as the pebble throws as full auto.

Still as relevant. Shield is a POS for PVP specially thanks to all those lovely autocrits.

There is just one way to play a gunnery commando properly and be effective. The spec is called gunslinger/sniper. Or if you want something a bit more mixed up and semimobile, sorcerer/sage. The published changes in 2.6 say all there is to say about this class and bioware's stance on it.

Let me see. Last week I think it was 3 people so fed up with repubs they said they were finally leveling imps. So I bet the op is imperial and looking for more easy derps to kill, or he's from another server and trying to dump his derps onto Tomb.

My pure shield spec vanguard is still ****, and I barely see another soul running it. Where's my buffs Bioware! Oh wait. I forgot I finally gave up and respeced to dps/hybrid. LOL.

Pure shield spec sucks *** in pvp, and even more so when compared to hybrids.

When you warn with ample time, repeatedly, end up with 5 enemy on your side, and nobody comes because the rest of your team is all busy killing the last guy and you die and they plant, yea.... **** that ****. You ask for a quitter debuff and what do we have now? We have people actually letting enemies jump on them to score. Or feeding kills. Or going afk at turrets. Or "moron stop capping so we can lose fast" So yeah, go live in your fantasy world where quitter debuffs fixes people. I know how it goes.

Fire? Lolroll. Can do it from either the other side of the fire or from above the platform and just roll straight on to the goal line.
