  1. I would love to see a "Healing done to teammates", "Healing done to self", and "Healing taken from teammates" stat line at the end of matches. Would differentiate those healers that can keep themselves alive while doing the same to their teammates, rather than those that only heal themselves or guildies.
  2. I agree with the OP. There really is no open world PVP in this game, so we are left with WZs. I play WZs to PVP. Huttball is about doing as little PVP as possible. At least in Voidstar and Alderaan I am guaranteed some semblance of kill or be killed. Huttball is a guarded, heal spamming, slowed, knockedback-fest that I do not enjoy.
  3. Would be nice if the kick could only be in conjunction with a lack of damage, healing, or guarding done. If you are doing one of those three things, you are at least contributing. Could alleviate the 'you will be kicked because you are undergeared' thing, and the guy standing behind the pillar in stealth all game would stand to be kicked.
  4. I will always give the MVP to the top healer IF I was getting somewhat consistent heals from them at some point. If they are healing just themselves and the one guildy in the match with them, they don't get my vote (which happens more often than not). If there is no healer worthy, then I go with anyone that guarded me for an extended period. After that I go with the highest damage melee. Melee is at a disadvantage in this game (as in all MMOs) and have to work 3X as hard to be effective. Ranged classes are faceroll and don't deserve MVP votes for doing damage. Anyone can stand at the top level of Huttball and freely cast damage down on players that can't get to them.
  5. Honestly, try playing a class that can't heal up unless out of combat. Really. Try it.
  6. Yeah I think it was probably the fact that there were no channeled/interruptible attacks via the timer bar. There may have been some animations that could be interrupted, but I'm not sure which ones they are. Having moved on to the next planet, it doesn't seem to be as bad as it first appeared. It just sucked that the first mobs I fought when coming back after the patch had to be the hardest ones! Felt like I was barely scratching them!
  7. I think this is one of the overall problems in most MMOs. There is typically no disadvantage to playing a ranged class. You are a 360 degree tab targeting turret with an extreme distance advantage, an equal amount of CC, and you do the same or more damage as melee players while many times putting obstacles or terrain between your opponents. We can go ahead and add healing and damage shields in this game for the most complained about classes. What reason is there to play melee really other than aesthetics and gimping yourself? A good melee player is a great ranged player. A great melee player is unstoppable as ranged. It comes down to this: At their ideal distance, ranged players can hit melee players, and the melee can't hit the ranged. At their ideal distance, melee players can hit ranged players, and ranged can hit the melee with no penalty. The only way this will ever change is if ranged get a severe to-hit penalty when melee are in that 1-10m range where melee are effective. Otherwise, if you want to play a melee character in pvp, you are gimping yourself because you would do better ranged.
  8. Ok cool, I will keep checking it out then. They were pretty much a straight DPS race because there was nothing to interrupt, and they were beating me in that race. Had to wait on Saber Ward to come back up to take them, and it was still close. Just strange that I would roll through the whole game never really coming close to dying, then die so many times to these mobs that were 2 levels lower.
  9. Funny you mention this. I am level 34 (Watchman) now, and I had not died in PVE throughout the whole leveling process. Elites had not been a problem. I just tried to take on the Elite Sith Harrowers on Tat, which were level 32. I died a total of 4 times trying to kill the 3 I needed for the quest. I tried taking my gear on/off, relogging, etc thinking there has to be some bug going on. No dice. My damage seems DRASTICALLY lower. Very disappointing.
  10. Any reason why it isn't? It is one of our best single target abilities, and requires the target to be incapacitated and in 4m range. Are there any other abilities on any other classes that straight up can't be used at all in PVP (Outside of the heroic abilities/companion needed abilities)? Discuss
  11. I would be happy to take that healing over here on my Infil Shadow. Those that have means of healing in this game have no concept of how annoying it is to have to get out of combat and find a safe spot to heal up.
  12. An Infiltration spec that knows what they are doing can wreck house if there are good healers on your team or if you have guard on you. If you have none of the above, you will do some damage while ignored, but will go down quick once someone starts paying attention to you. One of the most frustrating things is a real reliance on other players in WZs, If your team lacks healing, it can be very difficult to get out of combat to Meditate, and there seems to be some bugginess to Cloak sometimes where it keeps you in combat. I tried out a few Kin/Balance Specs, but the tradeoff in damage loss was too much to take.
  13. Normal NPCs only, not players. Breaks on any damage. 2 second KD that does almost no damage instead of 7k. I wonder where all the myths about Assassins and Shadows come from.
