  1. lol.. What raiding community? I don't know about the other servers, but almost all of the high end raiders and elite raiding guilds pretty much quit right around the release of 4.0. Another year like this last one and I'm sure there will be tens of people unhappy with the direction this game has gone for raiders.
  2. I probably have about as much time and effort in this game as you do, but this might be the last straw for me as well.
  3. That frustrated howl.... while I do get why it is there, is wiping a lot of legitimate attempts. At first it appeared to be happening and hitting the entire raid with a 30K+ hit for no apparent reason. Then it happened when the off tank taunted him, id say out 20 meters and it happens while hes running to the other. Like I said, I get why it is there, but you guys gotta give it more than 2 - 3 seconds of not hitting anyone to trigger. A 10-15 second wait is more than reasonable, unless you think a team of 3 or 4 people will be able to DPS him in the cheat spot in that amount of time. It's screwing up the mechanics a lot of teams use.
  4. I'm for it with the ignore list, but I'm against it on a friends list. The reason I'm against it on the friends list is because it makes an ideal tool for stalkers. I have a couple of female friends in my guild that picked up a stalker in game. Eventually the GMs took care of it when they went overboard, but I don't know if I like the idea of someone I don't like being able to put me on their friends list and tracking every toon I am on. I know my those guildmates sure as hell wouldn't have.
  5. It is damn near impossible to beat. We got close to beating this boss last night, but this has been bugged since release now. Are we REALLY going to have to wait 3 weeks for another patch that might or might not fix this boss? Sorry for my tone, but some of us were really looking forward to this getting fixed, we go in and find... well, this.... and are now kind of annoyed with the thought of waiting 3 more weeks for what may or may not make this boss a lot more of a story mode boss and a lot less hit or miss... and miss... and miss....

    Heh... heh hehehehehehheeehahahahahahahahhhaha!!!!! Never woulda guessed by the way he treats pretty much everyone in warzones for the last... well... almost since the game was released. This has to be a trap/trolljob.
  7. You missed my point. The guy I was responded to said this even was more for large guilds and it smaller ones that had "high quality players" was sort of screwed by it since large guilds full of scrubs have the advantage. At the end of the day, I don't think those higher quality players really care too much since all this is is achievement farming for finished flashpoints, killing 250 mobs, and lame stuff like that. I don't think those guys care because they still get the good stuff 90% of those in the large guilds (quantity) will not get.
  8. The "quality" smaller guilds out there already have the best rewards. The "quality" ones have the nightmare titles and the top gear in the game. I doubt most of those "quality" players care too much about what amounts to an event of glorified achievement farming.
  9. Wouldn't mind a penalty for quitters if regular WZs either. Like a 15 minute lockout (like with group finder) or 30 min or something. I get tired of waiting for a cue, finally get into one, and end up getting dropped into the middle of being at the wrong end of a roflstomping.

On my operative, I have been annoyed by beating jugs/guardians within an inch of their lives, only to see the vengeance jugs pop that heal that gives them a full life and invulnerability for a time. Seriously, I've seen a Jugg pull about 200K heals in a fight, which seems.... wrong. Overpowered, and I think that is one reason more juggs are popping out of the woodwork lately.
  11. Will the other bugs in Hard mode DF and DP be fixed? Or.... Are they now the new mechanic for hard modes? For instance, you can no longer stun the gold droids in the corruptor zero fight, they now have boss immunity. In the Draxus fight, there is now an add in two phases that have a healer raising corruptors and healing other adds. Both mechanics are trivial and no big deal. However, I haven't seen anything here that acknowledges they are in fact bugs or intended changes. Glad the Tyrans fight was fixed, but that wasn't the only thing that changed in hard modes since the nightmare modes were released.
  12. I don't think it is so much elitism or people thinking they simply are better than everyone as it is most people, when they pug, have an expectation of things moving along. They just want to get through it Most of those that pug don't have anything invested in those other players, and therefore have no interest in schooling them on how to raid. Education is more what guilds are for. People are more willing to help other players out in that situation. I recall an SV SM 16 man I jumped into several months ago where someone grabbed the shield at first boss, and then just stood there not knowing what to do until it ran out and we all died. Few things more annoying than that. That said, there are the snobbish types that will attack someone for being "noobish." There are elitists in all walks of life, but in this game, I never seen more whiners and attacks on other players more so than I have witnessed in a PVP war zone.
  13. Here are some other "undocumented" changes to the fights... 1. The second boss in DF now have adds that heal and actually combat rez the corruptors. 2. Corrupter Zero now has the gold adds with boss immunity making them unstunnable. 3. Sometimes the big adds in the first fight of DP have LOS issues even though you are standing on them. 4 Of course the famous Tyrans and having to drop down (and lose 40% of your health in addition to the damage in that fight) to purge the simplification debuff is there. And a few others that bled through from the nightmare content To those that say these changes are welcome, keeps healers on their toes, and provide new excitement for fights they have franky become bored with and had on farm for some time, and added "new challenges:" That is what nightmare mode is for. There will be plenty of time for additional mechanics and bigger challenges. ...and yes, I get that they are still doable and people are beating it. I myself am waiting for those and look forward to farming many repair bills like the rest of you. However.... There are a lot of newer progression groups stuck on some of these fights in mechanics the rest of us got to farm without for months. Particularly #4 above with the Tyrans fight, and I'm referring more to hard mode. People actually pay to play these raids, and I am disappointed that Bioware has seemingly decided that people being stuck on mechanics (that aren't even supposed to be there) isn't an important enough issue to fix before the next patch, which according to some come about every three weeks. Meanwhile, some of the not so early established and somewhat undergeared raid groups lose about 3 weeks trying to get past a mechanic that shouldn't be there to begin with. It is amazing that something like this managed to bleed through into the patch to begin with. Especially with the Tyrans fight, which is for a nightmare mode that won't be released for more than 2 months.
  14. Convince the devs that this is somehow an exploit and there will be a patch for it within 24 hours. Otherise we gotta wait for the next patch in about 2 weeks.

Unfortunately Bioware seems kind of flippant about it and aren't really in a hurry to fix this even though this is hurting a lot of people paying for the raids. If we're gonna get stuck dealing with a new nightmare mechanic, can we at least have the drop?
  16. Agreed. Just seems these days that more than half my cues are going against more imps.. Wish they'd do more about the randomizer too. Get tired of doing huttball 7 times in a row sometimes.

  18. It's an MMO.... By definition, we are ALL pretty much killing time. Unless you are one of those gold farmers selling to those spammers, for which, you probably deserve to get ganked.

  21. FYI, they fixed that exploit of standing in AOEs and flagging players. They did that about 6-9 months ago. I know cuz I tried doing it. Get with the times, man. At least do your homework before making things up and then whining about it in the forums.
  22. Not sure why they have a dot that ticks that friggin hard and can only be purged by certain classes. That second boss fight in Dread Fortress is ridiculous. Raid fights (boss fights in particular) should not be forcing groups to take at least one or two of a certain class. I find it amazing that this was overlooked in the design process. If not, then what was the thought behind it?
  23. Oh, I intend to do the same. It does make sense if it is at 12 midnight PDT... That is when early access started too after they decided to shut the servers down during prime time. Was hoping for something "official" though.
  24. Does anyone know what time the expansion will be accessible to everyone on the 14th? Trying to find out when/if there is a scheduled maintenance Saturday the 13th or Sunday the 14th and what time the servers are supposed to be up so people can log in and start leveling/ going to the new planet.
