  1. I have had the same problem. Instead of moving my window it does have a small part of the pop I can grab and drag it on to the screen to read it. Quite annoying to have to reposition every time I click a link but at least I do have a part I can grab and drag.
  2. No it is not. I have also seen others mistakenly get the notion that what was placed in the quote did in fact come from the one quoted and have never liked that approach. Quote someone true and their message is clear. Respond to their quote and your message is true.
  3. Please do not put something I did not say, up on the boards as a quote with my name on it. You have something you wish to say, then say it without trying to pass it off as a quote from someone else.
  4. That was my point. People knowingly misusing the program. The fact that someone posted intent in the very thread designed to tell us it was being taken away because the program wasn't being used as intended proves the point. I see many every day spamming on fleet asking for current subs. Some claim that it hurts no one. Now we see that people who legitimately attained real referrals and brought new players in to the game, are losing something because others misused the program. I do not believe you are correct. As seen by the post from Keith, the program was not being utilized as intended. So many were not using it to increase our numbers and thereby our potential for enjoyment of the game but rather cheating the reason behind the program for self enrichment. Granted he does not spell it out specifically but many of us who have played for years can read between the lines.
  5. And this right here is why it is being taken away. The page where you get your link states it is specifically for people who never had a sub or those whose sub has lapsed for at least 90 days.
  6. That button allows you to use the feature again if you have more than 20 items to deconstruct. Running a long Operation such as SnV gives you more than 20 items to deconstruct so instead of having to reopen this feature after every deconstruction, you click the button and start filling again.
  7. I'm betting that there is a sound factor with weapons that is not present with outfits that has been holding up the process for this.
  8. I look at it this way. They start a new season not tied to an update, 2 months later an update releases and it has changes to class abilities. Now people have played for two months and the toons they are actively pursuing ranked on have had their abilities changed and they no longer are as effective as they were and those players wasted all that time only to not place because the season and content update did not align. Imagine the blowback from we the posters here in the forums if such were to occur. I think that linking seasons to content patches are the way to go bugs or not. At least you can see what's changed/bugged and make educated decisions before investing time in to the venture.
  9. Maybe you can tell us how many toons you do call "lots" so we can see where you are coming from. Personally I think that being able to achieve CQ target on 20 to 30 toons by doing only part of the content this game has to offer is more than fair considering people are limiting themselves by focusing on so narrow a portion of the game.
  10. I seem to remember many people asking for a repeat of that event.
  11. That is my point. If they would add some stuff that can be bought with event currency every once in a while, it would keep people going back instead of the events dropping off to almost nothing.
  12. I've noticed that after the initial run to achieve Legend status for the various events, the players investment in events drops off to almost nothing on some of them. I propose that you use an in-place system to breath some life back in to them. We all know how much time and effort the dev's like to spend on making new items for the cartel market. Why not periodically make new items for the events as well? Dantooine for instance is almost a ghost town even when the event is running. You would need the currency from the event to purchase them so people would continue to do the content. Wouldn't have to be something new each rotation of events but maybe once every quarter or biannually maybe. Even if the completionist's were the only ones to continue to revisit the event, it would still give newcomers the pool of bodies to do some of the Heroics for instance.
  13. I have noticed that some of the colour relations to the amps have changed. At one time the highest possible colour was blue on the shell of the Amp Champ set but now the colour rating changed to green even though the numerical value is the same.
  14. The reason for the PTS To allow players to test content, report bugs, and give suggestions on newer content matter that the Dev's can change/improve "At a later date" if the players do not like it. The dev's spend lot's of time and money coming up with new things for the game and from a business point of view, they can not just delete it because people post that they don't like something. They can however do what they did with the Command System which was to change it over time to be something people were happy with. They would certainly have problems trying to explain to their bosses why said time and money was just arbitrarily dropped let alone give reasons to continue to receive funds to keep the game going if they did just drop content.
  15. Are you sure you wouldn't want to play a game of Global Thermonuclear War?
  16. "Game development is hard. Decisions like these are not easy. Moving forward, we need to laser focus our efforts as a studio and strengthen the next Dragon Age, and Mass Effect titles while continuing to provide quality updates to Star Wars: The Old Republic.” (Christian Dailey) The continuing to provide quality updates snippet has me more or less believing you are correct especially when placed after the Laser focus of DA and MA part.
  17. They may be able to use a blaster rifle but by doing so they gimp their dps. A sniper rifle with the exact same mods in it does more damage than the blaster rifle in the hands of a Sniper. Same holds true with a Assault Cannon vs a Blaster Rifle in the hands of a Commando. The variance range for my Sniper is 550 less minimum damage and 236 less maximum damage with the blaster rifle.
  18. I'm talking solely about having kill options write out companions in the game. Could they have done something different? Probably. But the solution should not be kill off a companion because some people don't like that companion.
  19. And Theron's story with the traitor arc was in design waaaay before they even started on Ashara's little return. Release date is not the same as creation date.
  20. Maybe, just maybe, the Dev's got the message from all those other threads with people here on the forums complaining that their favorite companion is written out of the story because of kill options.
  21. Careful what you ask for. They'll probably just nerf the other tank sets and make ones from Dxun bis.
  22. This bug is still happening randomly. Any eta on a fix?
  23. This sounds a lot like what was rumored to happen with a "Healing Mara/Sent" at the beginning of the game. Supposedly each class was meant to have a heal spec in one advanced class and a tank in the other. We were supposedly also going to get a "Tank Sniper/Slinger" as well. Rumor has it that they were taken out just before the release which was why we had all that weird gear with tank stats for Sniper/Slingers and heal stats for all the Mara/Sent gear at the beginning of the game.
  24. This subject is already being discussed in another thread with the answers you are asking for.
  25. The scam is on Bioware. Referral rewards are given to those who bring revenue in to the game. These people are paying those who are already a subscriber. It tells you specifically it's not for current subs on the very page you get your referral code.
