  1. Personally it doesn't really bother me. I have enough stuff that I CAN use that losing two abilities (only one of which I actually use on a regular basis) doesn't have much effect. We still get backhand (if you spec'd immortal) which works on literally anything, force choke, and force push (that work unless resisted). Still would be cool to be able to use them slightly more often but eh, what are ya gonna do lol
  2. You should still be on Tattooine at your level. Or just the very very beginning of Alderaan...all the way during Act 1. Getting PL'd through your content isn't going to be worth it if you can't do anything by yourself, friend.
  3. Trees take time to grow and show their true strength, you can't judge a tree based on having 4 points put into it.
  4. I agree 100% on this. Companions are only about 1/3 as effective as you are at any given role. Tanking is already one of (if not the) most gear reliant roles in the game, doubly so for companion tanks. Giving Khem really good gear will help tremendously in the long run.
  5. Juyo form by far. Watchman builds on it and it'll help increase your dot's crit chance (tier 2 watchman skill "Juyo Mastery" gets up to 3% per stack of juyo, making for 15% at 5 stacks) as well as the damage inflicted by them and your regular attacks.
  6. I'm a migrating veteran mmo player, and coming from a game where the damn chat log basically tells you "Big *** aoe damage in 3 seconds" and people don't run out, I totally understand the necessity. If you die from something channeled that you can avoid, you deserve it. I just finished Belsavis, and pretty much up to now the fights have basically been what you described. Saber throw, charge, smash, etc etc. Good to know that I'll have to put on my "oh sh*t" shoes for Voss.
  7. I just hit 41 and finished Belsavis, and I've had Quinn with me pretty much since I got him. If you keep his gear upgraded (as well as your own) then you can keep him on Officer's Instinct and perform just fine. I should mention I'm immortal spec Jugg, so my dps suffers and as a result I tend to keep Quinn in his blaster stance to compensate slightly for dps loss. The only thing of his that I have turned off is that completely pointless carbonized stream, since it's an 8 sec channel that takes priority over healing for some reason.
  8. Basically I believe Baras tells you that Nomen Karr (Jaesa's former master) has "been a thorn in his side" due to his ability to stop Baras whenever Karr has been involved.
  9. ^ This. Granted there's no more options for fem troopers but still, the fact that there's actually interspecies relations isn't a new concept. Look at Mass Effect.
  10. So THAT'S why Jedi wear robes? So the dark side has cookies (allegedly) and light side has skin bling...tough call.
  11. Stasis can be used against targets immune to stun effects and gets them out of cover. Also, there's 40 seconds where they aren't under entrench. That's 5 uses of force kick before they become immune to at least that. And by that point your stasis will probably be off CD.
  12. Force Stasis is a level 24 ability...and Entrench has a 60s CD which leaves 40s of them vulnerable.
  13. He's talking about the fact that over 100% acc begins to reduce the chance of attacks being blocked/parried/dodged/etc. 100% just means you won't miss. 100% doesn't mean you can't be blocked or parried.
  14. I have a biochem alt, which is very useful as I'm taking up Jugg and finding the baseline medpacs and stims better than ones you can buy from a vendor. I feel like the crafting skills are more to benefit characters that are still in the leveling process, not 50. At 50, your able to do endgame stuff which has always been the source for top tier gear. It would be nice to have something to look forward to, though, instead of just being able to make gear for lower leveled alts.
  15. Depends on how you look at it, I suppose...lol
  16. I get it...someone's been watching Guren Lagann...
  17. I'll never understand the endless cheerleading behind people who post "X class sucks, Y class is better". If you don't like the class or can't stand up to the challenge is presents, roll an easier one. Those of us that enjoy the class will be just fine without your kind of "help", thanks.
  18. Stop wasting forum space on what could be done in a pm. kthxbai.
  19. I would assume that after 100%, accuracy would lower enemies chance to dodge/parry/evade/etc attacks. Bioware has a history of having "defense" mean "evasion chance" and "armor" meaning "damage reduction". Also, since it's tied to accuracy, what else can you do past 100%? That'd technically mean your already hitting 100% of the time, might as well directly reduce enemies chances of dodging lol
  20. I'm nowhere near 50 (highest is 23 sent), but one thing I noticed is that, aside from gear, character development seems to stagnate once you hit the level cap. While this is probably expected, a kind of post 50 upgrade system might work well. I came from 8 years of FFXI, where SE introduced the merit system, which basically was once you hit the level cap you could continue to gain experience and once you hit a level, you'd gain a merit point that you could spend on various upgrades for whatever job you were or stats. I wanted to get some thoughts from people who were at 50, both in terms of if there's something like this already in place or if they thought it would be a good idea. I realize the game is still in it's relative infancy but implementing systems like this early would probably (again, I can't speak from experience) satiate the current people at 50 who want to give their character something more than gear. Thoughts?
  21. Also isn't this considered a spoiler since it's related to part of the story further down the line? I certainly didn't know about the last quest in the JK chain until I read this...
  22. Emergency fleet pass is your friend. Also, the game has been out for a little over a month. You can't honestly expect every bug to be ironed out. Patches, especially for mmo's, take time to make/write. Brand new mmo's usually have tons of patches post-release where the devs make needed tweaks and adjustments and then settle in on a more stable development cycle.
