Im not buying hypercrates just for rep tokens because of the cost and the huge amount of rubbish these packs contain. so im stuck at 'friend' rep and unable to get more rep without spending stupid amounts of creds to complete it. in these cases rep tokens should be still purchaseable through the cc

Agreed, was the best looking (potentially) cheapest HK custom so far. So where is it?? can we get some feedback today on this please. And also, the BBA one is WAAAAAY too expensive for just a customisation.....reduce it.

Totally agree on this.... Been playing since early jan and have made 10+ chars on different servers.My main is at 41 currently. I dont get this superior 50's mentality....i could have lvl'd a couple of chars to 50 by now, but im just enjoying playing the game and stories, and tbh, the 50's in my guild sound a little bored....just my opinion. But yeah,i think i have played just as much and invested just as much to get a 30 day freeplay. BW should be keeping all players sweet.....not just the 'big boys'.

There should be a new ability combining flamethrower and the oil slick (powertech) where the oil can be ignited creating a large area of burn damage.

The thing i have learnt on the conversation gains/losses...is dont worry too much early on....say what you want,take DS if you want and just buy her a gift or two later. Some hits you can take later in conversation points and in the hundreds.....use 'esc' to bail on a convo thats not going your way. For a time i would restart convo's to see all replies.....but that gets old quick. My Mako is currently ship bound crafting her *** off.....while me and the boys are tearing the galaxy a new one....DS points aplenty. Also, dont know if you already do this, but you can have your companions full ability bar on screen during combat....to make the most of all their skills....change in 'preferences'.

Yeah following on from starting this yesterday, i have been using GR as i run through quesh....maybe i have got a little better at playing, but he seems pretty robust dps and nothing is fazing us so far....working on upping his affection for the storyline. Will give TC a run out too....he is inheriting my cast offs so far.....finding a moddable weapon for him is becoming a challenge....what did the rest of you do?

I think if we could have a wish list.... Powertech rifle/cannon Merc pistol(s)/rifle/sniper and some kind of low lvl true flight with jetpack......i tire of speeders

I liked GR back story and how you come to recruit him....he seems more the kind of character who would come along for the ride....and to save his own skin. So, whats the affection lvl for side stories? same as Mako issume?

saw this on another thread and loved some of the companion descriptions,thanks to sarog Skadge is good. You might not like him personally, but he's an important contribution to the BH narrative experience because he's the only companion who is 1) representative of dark side morality, and 2) legitimately representative of the bounty hunting profession. The bounty hunter story is not one of a charming galactic policeman or a morally upright vigilante. Even as a light side hunter, the actions you undertake are extremely criminal at best and have the hunter playing the role of an outright terrorist on more than a few occasions. The other companions just aren't representative of the actual profession. Mako, for all her vaunted appreciation for hunter history and culture, is so naive (and often hypocritical) that having her along for the majority of the ride feels jarring when you are doing very bad things as part of your job description. That her idealism remains intact after following the bounty hunter through some insane terrorist activities doesn't help the dissonance. Gault is great, but has nothing to do with the profession itself and is only there for the money; he definitely adds to the experience, but not in a way that brings us closer to the class concept. Blizz is basically a novelty. Mandalo-Bieber has the mandalorian connection, which is important for class lore, but he's more of an aspiring soldier than a bounty hunter and his presence on your ship can be a bit out of place (especially if you rejected a certain other gentleman's officer at the end of act one). Skadge might be an antagonistic, pushy thug, but he represents the 90% of people in the bounty hunting profession. The mandalorians might have cultural influence with their codes and rituals (which even they don't always observe, Taro Blood case in point), but at the end of the day most bounty hunters are hitmen, gangsters and bruisers who work for the likes of the Hutt Cartel, the Exchange, and Black Sun. Granted, his introduction to your ship wasn't perfect... but then, seeing as the acquisition of all companions is a rail road experience, the other companions can be accused of the same thing. When it comes to "why am I forced to bring this guy along?" moments in the bounty hunter story, Skadge definitely does not claim top honors. Tbh Skadge is the only one of our companions who I can say for sure would make it onto my "ideal BH crew" list, due to actually suiting the profession. I'd much rather have the likes of Kaliyo or Kyzen on board my ship than a precocious idealist with a HelloKitty brand blaster pistol or an angsty teen mandalorian power ranger. I started this thread asking more to see which comp will be useful (mainly in combat) but more really my dis-satisfaction with the comps the BH gets....not really fitting the/my ideals of playing such a character....

as i was suspecting.... So has anyone followed companion affection/storyline to maximum/end? APART from Mako. I dont want to miss some amazing story/stuff, just cause im too busy keeping 'little miss do right' happy.....not really interested in the romance element. I should mention i have made a female ratataki powertech alt...to follow the story from a different angle and possible romance option, when it comes up. So, does GR or TC have a good story thread to follow?

Hi, I am a big fan of the class and storyline, and have played through as merc/powertech...but only to lvl 34 (did a server move). Now currently playing a Merc (arsenal tree) and have just picked up TC. I have so far just run with Mako, as i have been hammering the storyline to get my legacy up and running on new server. So who is a good comp to run with 34 onward?.....have spent too much time with Mako and trying to build affection (7k ish) and fully kitted in orange gear.Due to trying to max affection/convo responses, i find myself teetering on 'light 2'....something i did'nt plan on.... wanted more a 'grey' char morally...learning the benifit of blue/purp gifts. I dabbled with GR on a previous build, and could'nt get on with the ranged dps style at the time....back to mako and her magic sponge. I know there are two comps to discover, but is GR or TC seriously worth running with and ditch Mako? also, the expence of kitting them and buildling affection?.....or just keep them on the ship for CSM's? Looking for pointers....thnx BH's
