Isn't that enough? I found some mid lvl range items sell pretty well especially if you can get them into purple. I am fine with making shell and augments. It's better than my cybertech who only sell the ship parts and earrings. I feel the crafting in this game is really for deck out your twinks most of the time anyway. Unless you are a biochem then it's a little different.

I use def and shield rating on her.

My normal spec is medicine. I leveled in full med spec as well. I haven't spec dps after 1.2 so I can't tell you how much it's changed compare with before. However, I do know that I still enjoy my op healer very much. I play a sorc healer sometimes as well (my alt not 50 yet). But I can't stand the sorc healing as most of the time you have to stand still. I like the mobility of the op healer. I pvp as healer and yes, I do enjoy it. So if you are going to play med spec, I said yes, you should look forward to it. If you want to play dps, maybe someone else can help to answer that question.

EC is next tier from KP/EV. It drops Rakata gear in story mode. How do you expect it to be "easy". You can't just bring anyone in and expect to clear it in couple of tries. My guild got the first boss(es) down the first night we were in there. None of us had done the fight on PTS, we just read it online then go from there. It was a fun fight. Once we figured out the mechanism, it's not bad at all. We only raid couple of nights per week as well. I wouldn't say casual players can't progress in EC. More like fail players can't. I rather have some challenge than have everything hand to me. What's the fun in that if you don't try to break your head while learning a new fight? Everquest 72 man raid 6 days a week anyone? Sometimes I do miss the difficulty of those raids!

I am so glad that I didn't take today off to play. I was thinking about it this morning but went against it and came to work. Now, I can actually focus on working...I meant forum surfing!

I am full med spec, I level'd full med spec. Kaliyo was always my favorite. She can tank much better than the rest. I don't find the fight takes too long. As long as she can keep the mobs on her, I can heal her and do dmg as well in between. I've tried Vector, he kills faster but he can't tank and he can't keep all agro on him. As far as Esgine, she's an ok dps, kill pretty fast as well. Still the same problem, she can't keep agro off me. At 50, when I solo heroic, I use Kaliyo, when I do other daily, I use Vector/Esgine. I don't really use the other 2.

I feel so sorry for you. We have 30+ people on in "my guild" alone during peak time every night. I normally either don't do heroic quests or I solo +2 ones. I can even solo some 4 people ones. I am on Shii-Cho.

I rather they take their time and fix as many bugs as they can before release it. There are enough bugs with current content already!

If it's just regular mobs, and few of them. I normally send Kaliyo in and open with Frag Grenade, pick a mob then follow with backstab, shive, overload shot. Or just shive + overload. Normally they don't last over that. If it's silver/gold. Stealth, open with hidden strike (I don't remember what level you get that one though). If you don't have it yet. Then it'd be the same but I would throw kolto probex2 on kaliyo before sending her in. This will guarantee TA proc if I need to heal her while dpsing. Typical longer fights Send pet in, KPx2, stim boost, backstab, shiv, overload, refresh kp or ki if needed, sp if proc. Fill with auto shoot if energy is a problem while dpsing, normally for quest mobs, I rarely have energy issue. I also use SD for filler healing if necessary. Tosss in an orbit strike here and there. They don't last long enough. If you don't have KP, SP yet, then your rotation would be something like backstab, corrosive dart, shiv, overload, deb, backstab, heal. This is just my rotation and what I like to do. It's probably not perfect for the theorycraft guys but it works for me even at level 50 soloing heroic daily.

Kaliyo is the most reliable companion for me. Yes, Vector has better dmg but as others had pointed out, the survivability is not so great with multiple mobs. I leveled full med spec, if my companion can hold agros on multiple mobs, we can down them. It might take a little longer but everything is possible. At 50, I can solo all heroic daily on belsavis by myself. I can take on 2 silver + 2 gold mix assuming one is a robot with Kaliyo. I always have Kaliyo's gear as up to date as possible. It's very important you upgrade her weapon too, get the latest barrel. I noticed her effectiveness dropped one time when her barrel was several levels behind. But after I upgraded it, she's as good as usual. She keeps mobs on her well and allow me to heal her while dpsing with orbit strike, backstab, etc.

I still don't know why anyone still having problem of this fight. Send the pet up, immediately put the pet back and go to the location you want. DJ will follow. Then you can go on with what you have to do. I did this with Kaliyo at 32 as Op Med. I 1 shot each stage, no death. Ended the fight with full health, full energy bar as well. I really wish I could kill him instead of him getting caged.

Do you have any pvp friends? Will it be so hard to get the other 3 of them and run hm once per day and rotate on alloy? BT takes max 30 mins to do it. That shouldn't be too much to ask from your precious pvp time. If I remember correctly, there are at least 2 alloy drops per BT run, so even if all 4 of you need it (3 each), it'd take your less than 1 week to get them for all of you. I really don't see what's the big deal.

I level'd full med spec as OP. Kaliyo is my favorite. With her, I rarely die and I can take on Gold for missions easy. Once I even took on 2 golds and 1 silver at the same time (2 droids and 1 humoniod). So sleep dart 1, cc 1 droid, kill the other. I basically do minimal dmg, spend my focus on healing Kaliyo, interrupt/delib the mobs as we go. I keep her in orange gear while leveling up. I have cybertech, so I am able to make armoring/mod for her while leveing. If you can't, try to run the daily from each zone so you can buy the armoring/mods with commendations. I have never bought a single piece gear/item from GTN so far. The only things I bought from GTN are crafting materials when I can't gather them fast enough myself. I also pvp'd some, I used most of the commendations for implants for myself and her while leveling as well. I made our own earpieces.

F1-F4 for switching targets in regular group. Shift F1/F2 for healing companions (the most you'll have is 2 companions for a group of 2). Normally I put Kolto Probe on tank before the fight starts. Kolto Injection, by this time, you should have both TA up, so use one for stim boost while the other for SP. If the rest of the group needs heal, either spend the SP on the person who needs the most or KP x2 on them. Depends on the fight, I do sometimes use DS for the filler and make sure my energy is always close to full (90%). Basically my healing style is spam KP with KI/SP for heavy fights. Your top priority in pve is always keeping your tank up, yourself, then the dps. Also, don't be afraid to ask for help on really heavy fight. We also have a aoe healing (not very good) but every bit helps. Remember always keep the energy up then you should have no problem.

You will get her back, just continue to do your class quest. The most annoying part to me when she was taken away not just that I died more, but also it screwed up my crew screen. Half of the time I can't send out more than 2 to do missions. On a lucky day I could send 4. It was rather annoying.

I've searched and searched. However, I can't find the reason why OP needs to stop the crit rating at 35%. Also, does this only apply to the dps spec or op med as well? I normally play full op med, just recently spec to concealment for some pvp fun. So far, I like both, but still like my med spec more as I level'd in that spec and feel more comfortable with it. Is the 35% crit include self buff or not? Thanks!

I just recently switched from full OP Med to Concealment. I level'd in full OP Med. I changed to concealment just to see how it is in pvp and so far I love it. The rotation that I use normally as follows: Acid Blade Hidden Strike Shiv Lacerate Lacerate Acid Blade Deb Backstab Shiv Lacerate Lacerate And of course in pvp, you'd want to keep sever tendon on them as well in case they try to run away. I am loving both med and concealment specs. I am more comfortable playing a healer as I always play healers in previous mmos. Play a dps in pvp is way more fun though.

I am currently 45 and I've leveling full med spec until now. When I got Vector, I tried him out and I disliked him. He couldn't hold agro as good as Kaliyo when we have multiiple mobs. I prefer to heal my companion than tanking mobs myself. I have no problem keeping Kaliyo up through out all of my leveling. I do heroic 2 by myself with Kaliyo. My Kaliyo is geared as much as me up to mid 30s. Then she's kind of lagging behind. I noticed her losing agro couple of days ago. So I checked her gear, then I noticed that I haven't upgrade her weapon/armor in several levels. I got her a new barrel, then made some new mods, armoring, enhancements for her slots. Then her performance jumps right back. Last night, we were able to take 2 silver and 1 elite together (human and droids). I sleep the elite, send Kaliyo in on one of the droids, cc the other one. Quickly kill the first one, then go on to the elite and keep the droid cc. I ended the fight with full health and full energy. Kaliyo was about 40%. But as long as she doesn't die, it doesn't matter. I dps, heal when needed, and keep the droid cc until we finish the other 2. I would skip regular mobs and go for elites whenever possible. It doesn't take that long at all. Vector's dps is better but since he can't hold agro as well, I still prefer Kaliyo over Vector. Kaliyo just suits my style better I guess. But one thing very important is always keep your gear and your companions' gear up to date. It does help tremendously.

My hubby is 45, and he can send 5. So I guess it's tie to both level and storyline. I'll be 41 tonight, I have 5 currently (includes the ship droid, I received my 5th one at level 38). I can only send 3 at the moment.

I agree BW should have make the fight better, fix the LOS issue. However, the work around people posted in the previous posts does work. I 1 shot him at 32 as OP Med. I just ran up to him, agroed, back up, send companion in. I used Kaliyo as she's my best geared pet and I like her more than others. I have no problem killing Darth Jadus (wish the force shield didn't protect him). Once he's down from the platform, I have no LOS issue either. The fight does require fast reactions but it's really not that bad. I put dots on him and auto shoot while watching Kaliyo's and my health.

All you have to do was go up and agro Darth Jadus then back up. He'll come chasing you, I used Kaliyo as I don't like Vector. I am full OP Med spec as well. Basically Kaliyo was on him while I heal Kaliyo. I also run in to interrupt/blind him whenever possible. I finish the quest 1st time and neither Kaliyo nor I ever fall below 50% health. This quest really isn't that hard and totally doable solo with companion (lvl 32 when I finished). Kaliyo was in most 25-27 blue gear and I am in 33 orange main pieces and few blue. As long as you move Jadus off the platform, it'll be easier to target him etc.

I am only level 32, so I can't speak for level 50. But as for now, it's worth it for me. I can make my own mods/armoring. I can outfit my companions with the current level mods/armoring/earring. I am not rich but I don't struggle with credits either (only has about 250k). I haven't tried to sell much on GTN, but almost everything sells within couple of hours when I put them on the GTN. I enjoy to be self sufficient when I need it. I would say if you enjoy making your own stuff and using them, cybertech is a good choice. Rich or not, depends on how well you can play the GTN I guess.
