  1. lol, Marauders/Sentinels are the hardest class to play
  2. As a Marauder I think cloak of pain also absorbs ranged damage or makes you immume for stun and a ranged slow is also a good idea.
  3. You have no clue at all. By the time you get there as a melee, you have been CCed, stunned or knockbacked. Keep it realistic, *******
  4. Unfortunallety I had decided to play a melee class which I really regret doing, and will soon join the mass of ranged dps for pvp. Everytime I try to be effective I get cc/stun or knockbacked by any class except for Marauders/Sentinels which is also weird that they don't get one aswell then. Anyway, this game has to much CC especially the ranged. I don't get it why a ranged class can even get a pull back which should be a melee skill in the first place.. secondly, the cooldown timers are WAAAY tho short. AOE knockback for a sorcerer/sage with only 20 seconds cooldown and having selfheal+stun+super fast speed run and more. Are you kidding me? You know how much proffit it is to coordinate and aoe knockback before you go behind the pillar and heal yourself up to full. Ridiculous. There is no place for melee in this game. If everyone keeps rerolling range, this game will die. Casters dominate Ilum and Warzones. Merc/Commando never spec healing tree, because they can litterally spam 1 button to succes. You have to nerf the ranged class DPS so people will start playing more the healing tree. Ranged needs to get nerfed hard and should be alot harder to play. Ticking time bomb
  5. I think by giving melee more CC immunity is a good start. For example after leaping to a target you are immume for a knockback/stun for in the first 3 seconds, which gives us time enough to atleast set a start of our skills. If the range is good, he knows what to do, so basically its already abit more challanging for the ranged, because they have to think right now and don´t just automatically press knockback. The key is not to nerf ranged to the ground, but make it only harder to play and make melee abit more CC friendly. Thats all
  6. I only face range classes these days at Warzones. I barely see any melee class at all, if i do, they are operative or assasins. VERY few Warriors/Knights. I think this is also the case at other servers and proves that range classes do have advantage in this game at the moment and should be tweaked. for example a commando/merc who can just spam 1 litterally 1 button and still do very decent in warzones and get top in dmg done. And Sages/Sorceres are also just spamming to death. Melee really are left behind and soon there will be no melee in game played in pvp at all. Bioware, I'm really getting worried about the future of the game like this. You haven't mentioned anything to let us know you are atleast looking at the problem. Also togeher with the imbalance of the republic/empire this could kill the game. I'm also tempted to roll a range class to join the mass and am lvl 13 atm with amazing results in Warzones. Those range classes should be atleast harder to play. I played my bro's 50 Sorcerer and I have never felt so godlike before in comperation with my Marauder. I use way more binds than he does and does half of the effort I have to do to get the same results. (if its possible) And we both are equal skilled for a long time since the 6 years of world of warcraft together. I notice that melee classes are less usefull here than in WoW. I know this is another game, but its logical that melee classes should be the one to decide the game with CC too and not jus flat out dmg. Starting by making range classes harder to play is a good start.
  7. So I was leveling in Hoth as a lvl 40 Marauder anni spec and all of the sudden a vanguard lvl 39 appears and we started a fight twice. The first time he was just standing there pressing 1 or 2 buttons and killed quinn first and then me and he ended with almost full hp. He didn't move at all. Things like these really makes me frustrated, because I put alot o effort in the fight as anni spec and he stood still relaxing pushing 2 buttons to kill me and my companion and ending with nearly full hp. Second time I started on his companion aswell, it was annoying because he was ccing me few times and I only had obfuscate for him. Then after I killed his compnion I started with charge, blade saber, battering assult, ravage and then annihilate and ofc I used my cloak of pain at the start, but had to use saber ward asap aswell because of the high burst I was getting. By the time I was building up my rotation I was almost dead and he didnt recieve dmg. It just frustrates me seeing someone putting on less effort in a fight and uising the infamous backpaddle and still manage to kick my ***. I find my spec way to weird. It takes way to much time to set up your attack while having very low surviveabillity and even tho i used undying rage, but its only to die few secs later and couldnt do anything to him. I think Bioware should take a look and tweak some things to make it atleast faster to setup an attack, because this is really unfair at the moment. Also giving my OPINION as an Ex WoW Gladiator player about anni specc that there are way to many things you have to keep on eye on and that doesn't allow you sometimes to see what is going on in your surroundings which is the most important thing in pvp.

  9. Hey all! I myself play a Marauder and I was wondering if there is any lore based on duel wielding sabers outside the game? I think they dont show up in the movie. If they do, please tell me=) Thanks in advance
  10. Thats right. I just find it rediculous how other classes can be so effective in Warzones while we cant do anything being melee with medium armor... I honestly think that if we are not having any CC/knockbacks or good surviveabillity at all we deserve stealth and a stun opener. Its very frustrating for Marauders to get in battle and being attacked by everyone instantly, because they know we are a very vulnarable class. We are not really true warriors like juggs who use heavy armor, but we use medium armor so kinda like leather how it scales here, which is perfectly fine for a stealth class. We already have one Camouflage, but its nothing if you cannot reopen with a stun or the other class instantly CC you after you get out. Having this can make us more effective in Ilum and Warzones where we can setup our target instead of being ***** by the mass ones you get in. And dont tell me that you cant just force charge someone, because if we are truely warriors, we should atleast have 1 gapcloser without having to be worried about getting another knockback without being able to recharge them, because hell no that Im gonna run straight to my target. By the time I get there, Im already *****. I dont see the problem with this, because right now we are a very squishy class for being called ¨warrior¨
  11. SOOOO TRUEE! Thats exactly how I feel. We need a *********** buff right now.. ridiculous how we are designed. I seriously feel like a rogue without stealth or stuns.

  13. In my opinion a stealth plus stun opener would fix this class
  14. If this is true, I might just reroll now, because there is no way in hell that Im gonna play a class who is A) Underpowered and B) Has broken skills. I already put alot of effort in playing this class and accepting the unbalance, but not if they keep the abillities broken for so long.

  16. I can't remember the last time I felt so squishy/weak/useless in a game like now. There really have to come changes in Marauders/Sentinels. I come from World of Warcraft where I played hardcore pvp since 2006 and achieved many many high end ahievments and thought it was time for a switch, to a different MMO. I fell in love with SWTOR right at the moment I tried it out and knew it would have a lot of potentional. The thing is that the PVP system is so broken right now, that I literally wanna throw up. I have been through a lot and know that this game is only 1 month old and should have patience with it. The thing is that it has already been serval months since beta and there hasn't even changed one simple thing in Marauders/Sentinels. Right now the class is really at the bodum of the foodchain. Unbelievable how a full dps, not hybrid class can be so bad in an MMO. We literally have 0 CC/Stuns/Pushbacks/Offheals. I just love the feeling of being usefull in a Warzone/Battleground, but why on earth would you take a Marauder over any other class today in a pvp combat as part of your team? Any other Hybrid class can do atleast as much if not more damage than a Marauder + they have all those CC/Stuns/Pushbacks/Offheals. I really don't care about a little bit inbalance here and there, but when something is so damn obvious it just need to be spoken out asap. The thing that got me worry is that after so much time Bioware hasn't even taken the time to mention the situation of Marauders/Sentinels. I still cant believe why on earth would you give Marauders, the pure dps medium armor class such a low surviveabillity/mobillity and literally no CC at all? I know this may be another QQ thread like many others, but this has to be fixed once and for all. Sorry for my English.

  18. I do think heavy armor would be a good start for marauders. I mean we are warriors after all.

  20. Yes, very good post. Thing Maraude/Sentinel need is better mobillity and surviveabillity. It's just not fair how other classes can do better with less effort.

  22. I think a decent surviveabillity buff+a stun e.g: Ravage also stuns the target for the whole duration and can be used while walking and that every spec has 2 force leaps will fix this class. Perhaps they could also keep an eye on force choke.
