  1. For added aoe dps and better burst have your marauder spec to carnage. The combo of berserk+gore+sweep+sweep+sweep....nets me over 100k damage rather quickly (and doesnt overheat/run me out of energy). Only issue with it is the agro your marauder will get... he will need to pop force camo after his 3rd or 4th sweep. As far as your healers getting stomped, pop force shroud and drop your aoe's before your aoe taunt... as a shadow/sin you have the advantage of building aoe threat while under a shield... no other tank has the ability to do so. Also i believe i stated it earlier, but will state it again... doesnt matter what tank you're you will be taking one hell of a beating from the trenchcutters. Yes as a shadow/sin you may take a bit more, but healers shouldnt have to hold back any healing on you, like they have to on juggs/PTs due to agro issues... so it is balanced on that fact.
  2. This allows healers to start heal bombing the tank at a far quicker rate without worrying about pulling agro in 6 seconds and going splat. Also since it hasnt been mention empowered slash hits for ~18-19k i think... really nasty for healers to deal with when the walker is still up, and you're finishing off the last bomber... a Sin/Shadow negating the hit through force shroud is a god send and relieves a great deal of stress off of the healers. There are multiple kill videos on youtube with shadows/sins in them, the only one that i remember watching where they kited warriors, was Tempest who also used an exploit to avoid saturation fire... probably not the best video to mimic.
  3. We do it normally do the fight with sin tank, and usually one PT or Jugg.... but either way it doesnt matter what tank is tanking, they are getting hit like a fright train and need to mange CD's. Like the poster above stated, there are a lot of aspects in this fight, that favor shadows/assassins over the other tanks. On a side note we have found that a arsenal merc doesnt bring as much aoe dps as a few other classes (you would be surprised by what classes can burst out the most aoe). Also only 2 dps aoeing is a bit light and will cause some issues.
  4. If you would like to clean up your list a bit, you can go head and remove Sedition. We have split apart the night we killed TFB, If you see the guild tag running around on the fleet it is most likely me on one of my alts.
  5. Hmmm he doesnt have that many logs up, and all of them are of actual OP fights where you have down time. Look at the general average of classes on those fights and you will see his parses being about average with everyone else's... some are in the top 50 some are not. Very rarely will you see a person break 2k on a OP fight unless they are ignoring some mechanics of the fight (some fights will allow one or two dps to stand and burn while others are killing adds, and things of that sort), or a fight where you see a large amount of aoe, and or a fight where you damage buffs. From what i have seen, OPs lethality spec is very gear dependent and scales very well with higher end gear.... it takes alot of practice to play well and to get around the lack of a gap closer... but overall isnt teribad in the way that most people proclaim it to be,
  6. A lethality Operative can pull some decent numbers depending on the fight, and even in some cases out parse other classes. Look up Invinc on Torparse. Most of the times when you hear people talk about really hard hitting dps, they usually are referring to burst classes and or aoe classes, both of which can over perform on certain fights compared to a sustained dps class. Also some fights compliment certain classes/specs better then others.
  7. You dont see 1900+ on karagga a lot because people who can hit that easily are not doing NiM KP... and if they are it is in a very relax setting where they are most likely watching the TV while playing (speaking for myself at least).
  8. That is real close to my PvE build, a build i have gone into PvP a few times and i hated it.... I felt that lethality in general requires to much set up to be able to burst. I also felt that i wasnt that mobile with my main burst being a 3 second channel. The other big downfall of it is the fact that my dots can be cleanse (yes there is lingering toxins, but 15% damage of what they normally would do is crap... and only is useful to maximize the damage on cull after a cure). Overall i would suggest a different PvP build, but keep this one (with a few slight adjustments) for PvE.
  9. I find it funny how people talk about sorc aoe healing being the best...It is only better then a OP when you're trying to heal more then 4 people... 4 people or less RN will heal for more, and at a far quicker pace, as well as allowing the targets of the heal to be mobile still. On a side note when running 8 man TFB HM/ EC NIM there is only two fights where you actually have more then 4 people stacked on top of each other (in a balance raid of 2 melee, 2 range dps); Kephess the undying, on his third phase; and the minefield while fighting the probes. There is only raid wide damage in one of those two instances and even then it is very short lived.
  10. No other MMO have invested into operations below level cap, besides some random world bosses...the reason why... it is a waste of development time, since the majority of people would maybe do a mid level operation once if at all... and then find themselves out leveling it in a few days. You already see such behavior with low level flashpoints, where they are done by a single character for a few days then they have moved on to the next.
  11. It seems like it would be sorta odd to have an agro issues that late in the fight...someone could of accidentally taunted... but doesnt explain the fact that it happen multiple times unless someone in your guild is trolling the group. The best thing to do is to constantly watch the target of target; if he targets anyone besides the tank that is tanking him, you should expect for them to come early and with out a red pool being up, as well as a single add spawning shortly after, off the person that took a stack of incubation when they stole agro from the tank.
  12. it's 300 and it is a rather decent increase +6 main stat, and +4 to 2 secondary's if i remember right.... They are rather expensive but it sorta comes down to what else would you be spending your BH comms... companions or REing for stabilizers.
  13. Or just have the tank taunt as they are leaving the tank, or do a tank swap.... either of those two things will prevent the dps from stealing agro during the shield phase.
  14. Have Lucasarts license some other company to make a new space combat sim, that has good multi-player, and exploration modes. I rather not see the resources that would be needed to make a half way decent product be taken away from other aspects of this game. I know SWG had free exploration space, but honestly SWG was never successful and probably was kept alive as long as it did to prevent the IP being used in another MMO that would of competed with EQ2.
  15. In some ways i would say you're a dick.... but only slightly. I would say more so if it was an actual PvP server and you didnt have the choice to flag or not to flag. But really i always find it hard to believe how much amusement i get from the pain others suffer from their own stupidity.
  16. If the fight is anything like 8 man, you will spend hours and multiple days perfecting that phase, and will find rest of the fight very easy... just keep at it and you will guys will have your kills... and just remember the fight is all about execution, so dont be surprise when your kill is a very very clean fight.
  17. I use to run annihilation only and found that having ~120-140 crit rating (came out to about 27-28% melee crit) worked the best. I have recently switched to carnage and been spending a great amount of time on the dummy perfecting my rotation, and trying to find that sweet point with crit... i beleive it lies at ~300-350 crit rating (will come to about 35% melee crit buffed), it may be a little bit more then that... it will be a few days before i get the chance of getting some more crit enhancements to play around with. Since i am still perfecting the rotation i check the average damage of the hits of massacre, ataru form and ravage for a base line if the crit i just added out weighs the power that i lost... as long as i see a reasonable increase (if it is a small increase i say it isnt worth it due to the lost of damage on scream). Once i get the rotation perfected to a T i will try to post a log, i am aiming for 2100 and i think i should be able to reach that in a 5 min fight.
  18. There are fights where you want to hold it for additional burst, you always want to be able to berserk when you bloodthrist as well. Perfect timing for me to pop though when i am not holding it, is right before i apply my 3rd stack of deadly saber with rupture.... doesnt always happen but in a perfect world that is when you would want to hit it.
  19. There isnt an agro dump, it is just the dps building more threat then the tank. I am sure you're not doing a tank swap (very rarely will there be agro problems after the first swap), so just make sure the tank on stormcaller taunts while leaving the tank... it isnt a big issue, but for some reason tanks dont like to use their taunts much...
  20. As well for the reasoning why I still have some of my characters in Sedition; I was defaulted guild leadership with the lunch of 1.5 and i use the guild bank as a personal bank for mine and my girlfriend's alts. But like it has been stated Kemenotic is wearing the Hatred guild tag.
  21. The old thread and this thread lists an alliance called "PUGS" which consist of members from 5 different guilds atm, some which are alts from other guilds. It was never a issue, and the whole ringer thing fails to be important in this game when you can find a guide for every fight on youtube (some were even out before the content went live (TFB)), also there isnt any heavy gear checks where you would benefit from a so call ringer. In all honesty a raid group is making hurdles for it self when it invites people that they normally dont raid with, this includes people within the guild (somewhat like hatred's kills in NIM EC), or outside of the guild (which people are accusing hatred of doing). On a side note why dont people focus more time in getting pulls done on Kephess and killing it, instead of QQing on the forums. Grats on the kill btw.
  22. I meant damage from the knock back, much like how i posted a log of the damage from 8 man. I asked for it because people were stating they were taking huge damage spikes from doing it, from unknown sources. I highly doubt that the damage would be more then 2k if that, and if people are taking additional damage it is from either; A) a bug or B) motor volley or C) single destruction. If it is a bug of some sort we will never know unless people document it, by sharing their logs. As it stands you take less then 1k damage from the knock back when you dont have single destruction on you, in 8 man; making it a very viable and most likely prefer method to get the shields. I dont see anything that would cause a huge difference where it would become unfavorable to do in 16 man.
  23. You should be asking how many 16 man guilds actually trying to clear it? It seems like only a few guilds have gotten past the tanks, no clue if they are working on kephess on a nightly basis, or playing it more relax knowing the encounter is a pita.
  24. There are a few encounters when poping force camo can cause problems, but for the most part on that fight one of the tanks should be taunting right as black obtuse ends, and hence no need to pop force camo.
