  1. Listen, you're gonna stand there and like it ok? This is the greatest MMORPG in history, its a great game... you're going to enjoy it... alright? Enough of this madness. Also, inb4 give them time... WoW was crap 6 years ago so this can be crap etc etc.
  2. 50+ it is pretty bad... "right now", who knows, perhaps Bioware will invite Paragon in for a conversation or two and we'll see some real endgame...
  3. lol no... that is pretty funny though. I'm not sure what to tell you about Ability Delay... thats a topic for another thread and I think they've done well in improving though I'm kind of discouraged by 1.2 patchnotes as I still experience it very much with channelled abilities etc. In any case, I simply wanted to see what the community would think here... an optional $10 for improvements to the game etc, y'know.
  4. Well you it is of course with the assumption that they would invest it into the game... why wouldn't they? Also what about it being optional?
  5. If this is possible, I think it would have some real benefits but let me explain... (please don't judge and reply due to the title...) Cons: Lets start with the negatives... 1) $10 Increase per month for each player 2) Potential loss of playerbase (though I would argue minimal) 3) Possibility of other publishers/developers adopting this standard due to SW:TOR success, thus leading to slightly higher priced MMO Gaming experience. Pros: 1) $10 per player, across millions of players... is a large enough sum to really be able to re-invest into the game. 2) Larger Development Team due to more income, leading to more content as well as more fixes. 3) Likely higher Quality Assurance due to potential to increase QA Team 4) Potential for fun Bioware activities, meetings, conventions etc. 5) Customer Service (In Game and Out of) can be expanded for faster response times. Suggestion #2: Perhaps, have another subscription option for $25 per month as a choice for those who would like to contribute a bit more and have the ability to. The perks could simply be playable races or little things like that... Conclusion: I think for most people $10 per month is not that much, if it is... perhaps this form of entertainment should be put on a backburner until financial situation can be stabilized. I am merely suggesting this for the betterment of the game. I also believe that $25 is not crazy and that SW:TOR is a good game that can warrant this slightly higher price. Let me know what you think!
  6. Doing it right now on HM.... Our Setup: Tank: Vanguard Healer: Sage DPS 1: Gunslinger DPS 2: Shadow Issue: Spawns a ****ton of Smugglers and Sith Warriors?? <---- W*F Bioware, how does this go live. This is absolute proof that zero proper testing goes into development.... brb, re-activating WoW Account <--- not kidding... terrible QA here. This is just one example...
  7. How do you know? I've had this since lvl30 or so.... Is there any confirmation to a fix?
  8. Does anyone else have this happening? 1) I have two Rishas, one is in her original spot in the Cargo Bay (Wearing Old Clothing) and the other is in the Engine Bay (Wearing Current Clothing).... 2) Why is Ivory on my Ship? I chose to have him arrested.... Is it isolated or am I bugged or is this a known issue? Has this been commented on??
  9. He said, "Roll on a High Pop Server".... What don't you understand about this!?.... stop arguing... DO IT. Also, thank you for your patronage... please continue to enjoy the game.
  10. Because I just want to come home Mon-Fri after work and have some fun...
  11. True but I'm not bored of WoW really... it entertains me Mon-Fri and even on the Weekend very well... I just wish that SW:TOR had such a very wide verity of experiences at level cap as well as quick/easy/fun things as in WoW. Its just the level cap in SW:TOR is so very dry...
  12. No... I can also spend all night on SW:TOR but thats not because I do MANY THINGS, its because ONE THING takes FOREVER... In WoW I can do 1x Random Raid, 3x Random Heroics, 5x BGs AND some little things in my night after work... In SW:TOR I can do 1x Flashpoint in the night.... because it takes forever to get **** going.. Please don't say join a guild and its better, they're offline at the time perhaps? Doing other stuff? etc.
  13. Trust me I do want to like it and I believe SW:TOR has many pros over WoW... 1) Voiceovers and Leveling are much more interesting in SW:TOR (1st time through) 2) Class Stories are awesome - Makes even me into a little RPer 3) Romance Arcs are awesome - I actually, to some degree care about it... 4) Graphics are nice 5) Its Sci-Fi 6) Sound is awesome... 7) .... I'm running out of things to say... In any case... none of this matters at lvl50! I'm still left lonely, empty and bored... I'm still left having to REGROUP after each WZ with my fiancee because we're not in the same group. I still have to add every single alt of hers instead of just once... I CRY RIVERS... !
  14. Yes... this was like therapy... I already feel better but a tissue is needed...
  15. I'm rather bored... don't get me wrong, I've enjoyed the game very much so far and I believe Bioware's patches since 1.1.0b have been very good support BUT....! I have just re-activated my WoW Account and my god... I cannot play SW:TOR anymore... Edit: I realize its an emotional kind of post but, I can't help it... also on Page 2 I list the Pros of SW:TOR over WoW... but that isn't the point Edit: (One of my replies on Page 3...) This is not a WoW vs. SW:TOR argument, its just that it is where I came from. Having been 50 for a while and having a second 50 now as well (Smuggler/Consular)... I am just incredibly bored by everything at 50 and I simply cannot level anymore.... I miss the little things more and more, and since re-logging to WoW I feel so thankful for all the things I took for granted for so long... 1) I can queue with my Fiancee for BG and upon coming out of it, we're still in the same group. 2) I only have to add someone on Real ID and will never have to add another character/alt of theirs individually. I can even chat with them across different servers AND GAMES! 3) Oh, my, god... life without loadscreens is incredible... 4) PvP is so much more responsive and varied... less stuns and CC than in SW:TOR. In SW:TOR everyone is essentially a frost mage with a knockback! 5) Quick Fun - If I have only 2-3 hours to play after work, I can do a quick "Random Raid" - several "Random Heroics" - very many "BGs". In SW:TOR getting a group together for anything at 50 and completing just 1 instance can take 2-3 hours.... 6) Guilds - Jesus... I have a Guild Bank... I have so many little perks... and I can't believe I am saying this but... I actually appreciate the Guild Tabard... something so simple. 7) Arena PvP, I can't believe I hated you so much Arena... I only realize now how amazing you were. Please take me back.... I will never hurt you again like that... I am so sorry... 8) The Community... yes, I can't really believe I am saying this either. But seeing a flowing and vibrant Trade Chat is "INCREDIBLE" after the dry silence that is the Fleet... 9) I can change faction through paid service, I can change race, I can change my look... 10) Transmogrification, what an awesome feature... I can't believe I thought it was lame before. 11) Addons - HOLY ****, my UI is so awesome now... I can do ANYTHING I WANT to customize my game. I can have recount, or not... I can have threat meters... or not. I can have 20 bars of abilities or NONE just individual buttons... I can have ***** slap my screen every time I'm in fire... or not. I HAVE CHOICE! 12) Macros - I have never truly appreciated how awesome it was to have a macro that summons a RANDOM mount (ground, different macro for flying) every time I mount up. Its like Christmas, every couple of minutes... for like a few hours... 13) Mists of Pandaria -- PLEASE don't turn out to be as terrible as I thought/think... Blizzard, I need you... please don't let me down again... I can't take this anymore My point is, having re-logged into WoW... I realize how incredible it was. All the stupid little simple things that I would completely take for granted all this time add up to being unbelievably amazing. DOES ANYONE ELSE FEEL SO EMPTY AT lvl50?? OR IS IT JUST ME!! *I'm going to go cry in a corner now...
  16. Still testing, need to check out channelled abilities again and I do believe the Animation Sync on things like Cover Pulse and whatever the Consular Knockback is still way off... Edit: I think the fact that this thread has slowed down is a good sign... Bioware certainly has done good work on this issue.
  17. Funniest in this case = best to me
  18. I thought it'd be nice to share some amazing Bioware Trolls that we've experienced In-Game. I'll start... - Questing on Ilum - Warzone Pops - Join Warzone - Load Screens... - Enter Game - Game already in progress - *Insert Bioware Troll* - Zoned out of Warzone for AFK in Starting Area - Ported from Ilum to Fleet Station! - Enjoy loading screens travelling back to Ilum...
  19. Its all good, thanks for testing and honest feedback. I'm not PTS Testing simply because not being able to copy character or create a max level makes the entire thing somewhat useless... I hope in the future they make it a real Test Server but oh well. Ty again for your feedback, need more of that of course
  20. I have had the same issue, it is caused by a crew mission (diplomacy for me) coming back with a fraction... for example +8.1208244000 Dark Side Points Gained etc. However, when I hit 10,000 Light Side - it went away and it simply showed 10,000 LS and 0 DS.
  21. Hey, I got your PM and will respond of course. I'm just at work currently so a bit slow to do so. Also I have so far and will continue to read every reply in this threadline until I believe this issue is put to rest. Even if I myself don't notice an issue anymore, I think it is important to further pursue this topic until the gameplay is so very responsive and feels so good that even the most competitive and sensitive players are satisfied. A) If you have not noticed any improvement from pre-1.1.0b to after that patch, then you may be more sensitive to gameplay in general and/or your tolerance for these kind flaws may be lower than mine. I still notice some slight delay issues and major sync issues but I must admit that before 1.1.0b it was infinitely worse. I don't believe I could make another 50+ min video nowadays, showing so many fails with such little footage. Before 1.1.0b, within minutes or less the problems showing in my video would appear, every single Warzone was absolutely painful to play. Now, it is quite enjoyable and any issues are further between. However, the "overall feeling" is still nowhere near WoW Avatar Responsiveness, this has to be said and I do realize this. As for 1.1.1, I have not yet noticed any significant change with 1.1.1 but it may be that it is more subtle. Perhaps 1.1.1 changes are more UI and CD reliability related and so even if the more noticeable and jarring issues were not addressed, the background subconsciously noticed issues have been tweaked. The reason I am more calm now is that Bioware seems to really be on top of this now and having read the notes on 1.1.2, I am very excited, far more than 1.1.1, because they are finally talking about changes to Client/Server Communication and I believe this to be the integral key. I would urge everyone to still around and see what happens there. I still notice some hesitancy in ability execution on input, I notice huge unreliability with sync and especially channeled abilities. B) As far as comparisons, I can't speak about Guild Wars as I've never played it myself and EvE Online I found very responsive and smooth even though it is a different style. However, I have not played EvE Online nearly enough or high enough level to judge and compare. I have played WoW PvE at the top levels for a number of years and to a much lesser degree PvP as well, this is why I take comparisons from there. Also the fact that unlike EvE, WoW amd SW:TOR play essentially the same ad WoWs mastery of this topic, it is the best direct comparison. In closing, I am not going to stop scrutinizing and analyzing this topic of gameplay "feel" but i am far more optimistic now than 3 weeks ago. Bioware has show with 1.1.0b that they're taking this serious and 1.1.1 is a sign of continued dedication, 1.1.2 has me very excited as I believe they are continuing to take it serious and also starting to address the Client/Server Communication which I believe to be the core of this subject, WoWs magic in gameplay feel may be in the way they do Client/Server Communication.
  22. Again, what is it I should be applying to? The Guild Leader thing? I'm not a Guild Leader in SW:TOR...
  23. I have never experienced this or read anyone experiencing anything like this and I've read about 8000+ posts on this topic... I think it may be an isolated case but if this happens often to you, record it and upload to youtube so we can have a look. I know that clicking the door in Voidstar, does not de-stealth you automatically but rather gives an error message that you cannot do it while stealthed. So perhaps that + autorun happened to you? probably not but hey....
  24. I have not had the chance to test 1.1.1 thoroughly enough to judge how much it has Improved the feeling of responsiveness and avatar control or If at all... but I will in the coming days and report back. One thing I can confirm however is, inconsistencies in channeled abilities is still very jarring. When used in a tight rotation, channeled abilities can be completely unreliable and out of sync. The ticks at times do not appear until the castbar is halfway completed, I'm not sure about the effect itself but the animation/UI/castbar and effect display is completely out of sync. It also appears as though the damage or healing ticks of th channeled ability are not evenly timed apart at times, at least not the display of them. This feels very clunky and contributes to this feeling of reliability and responsiveness, in a system like this It Is very hard to be confident in the control of your avatar while in hectic situations in PvP or PvE. If we had a timestamped combat log, we could assess this more accurately.... I should note that I am incredibly pleased with the improvements from pre-1.1.0b to now 1.1.1. It is very much like playing a completely different game. I realize that those with a lower tolerance for imperfection and flaws, and perhaps those who play at a higher level of competition still notice the issues but I would like you to be constructive because it does appear that Bioware is taking this serious and so there is hope here that it can become as responsive and tight in gameplay as WoW. To Bioware, please continue to take this serious, even though It has been improved, it is not there yet and the this "feeling" of complete responsiveness and control of ones avatar Is absolutely paramount, consciously to some but at the very least subconsciously to everyone else. I know you've already considered this and discussed but can you please give us a reply post or blogpost explaining how Client/Server communication ties into this? I believe that WoW provides an illusion of responsiveness through this which may be the last "key" here to perfecting this. I am worried that SW:TOR will simply never bridge that gap of good --> perfect feeling of control and responsiveness due to how Client/Server communication is handled. Ty, otherwise Bioware you have done A LOT of good in VERY short time to improve gameplay, it is very impressive and I believe the game is now completely enjoyable even at higher levels of play (though I must stress, not the highest).
