  1. Hey folks, I already submitted this to Customer support as ticket #29873839. I noticed recently that companions (re-)acquired post-4.0 do not show talking animations in idle situations. You can hear them talk and their line shows in the chat window, but the graphic animation of the respective companion moving their lips is missing. I definitely confirm this bug with vanilla companions from the original eight character classes; the aforementioned phenomenon occurs when you click on your companion during idle phases. However, it apparently does not affect the SoR companions (Theron & Lana), and if this also applies to the other KotFE companions bears further investigation. The CS representative asked me to forward this to you as well in case you might be aware, so here it is - maybe you can fix this in the near future. Greetings, F42
  2. @OP: In case you are, don't be sad not to be able to obtain Nico Okarr anymore... I followed that carrot presented to me by Bioware and found the character disappointing. You don't really get anything remotely close to a story, you just have to mix him a drink (already getting the impression that this guy is hardly more than a drunkard) in order to get him as a companion, and afterwards he's just there and you can use him as a companion and increase your influence, but I'm not really sure if that increase actually triggers any story conversations, so I stopped giving him gifts. Basically he's only talking about booze. If anyone can correct the mistake I might have made and tell me how to get this guy to actually be an interesting NPC, I'd appreciate it.
  3. Okay folks, I've seriously read all 18 pages of discussion so far, and I can't help it, I think you all need to calm down a bit, there's a lot of rather pointless accusations and some pettifoggery been conducted here. As far as I remember, quite a number of people on here felt the need to repeat their main arguments over and over again, some legitimately (because they'd been ignored or intentionally misunderstood), some rather illegitimately (as a manipulation tactic, repeat the rather thin argument often enough and people will eventually believe it anyway). To say it straight away, I am entitled to the bonus chapter, but I am not militant about it. I don't login to the game thinking, "wow, how amazing I am! look at a all those shinies I 've earned so far, they are MINE!" Such gollumesque behaviour is beneath me, seriously; besides I do not have all that much stuff, just one or two of those special thingies. I have been subbing for the complete time (January 11-August 1) - basically simply for this bonus chapter, since I wasn't able to play between march and august for various reasons. Same applies to last year - I stayed a subscriber in order to get that Nico Okarr dude, albeit being unable to play for quite some time. Actually I regret having done so! Nico Okarr is not a worthy companion to me, he's basically just a drunkard and since you don't really get a story with him, the revenue for my subscription expense has been somewhat limited. Well, those who are against the strict interpretation of "subscriber-only" rewards could confer now that I might show that false pride which comes along with TEH ENTITLEMENT. But to make it perfectly clear, this has nothing to do with pride or a sense of "material nobility" at all. I simply read BW's T&C, decided I wanted to get what they offered to those who would meet certain requirements, and then saw to it I met those requirements. And I never once bragged about being entitled towards someone who wasn't. I think Rat pointed out multiple times that BW's T&C - as a somewhat legal document - are (and need to be!) a clear measure on who is entitled to what under which circumstances (not only concerning subscriber rewards). Imo it is the same as with legal norms: they only hold any value if everyone sticks to them and the company does not change them every now and then, just because. People - meaning the company employees as well as the playerbase - need to be able to rely on the T&C, otherwise they would completely render them useless, or at least significantly damage their relevance. That means that change to the T&C can only affect FUTURE developments, it should never ever retroactively allow measures which were introduced under different prerequisites. (This, by the way, is one of the principles modern democracies generally operate by, no action against or without law - just as it says in penal law: nulla poena sine lege, i.e. you cannot sanction people for deeds which weren't deemed crimes when they were committed.) So, when people find themselves not being entitled to a certain feature (which imo also applies to that detached HK Story chapter, detached because you don't lack any prerequisite for KOTET if you don't have it) and ask Bioware to unlock it for the entire player base or sell it on the CM, they - first of all - very well have the right to do so. However, those people should accept that others have the equally understandable right to oppose them, for example because of the T&C. On forums like these, discussions sadly tend to turn into reciprocal rants about white knights or whiners, or you name it... But those rants do not really help any solution. I think I understand what Zanya wants, for example - this HK chapter seems to be a good opportunity of promotion for the game, and so it might be attractive for others later on, if sold for CC. However, so far BW's T&C do not mandate this, and so far not a single subscriber reward (i.e. a feature requiring a certain point or timespan of subscription) has been offered for money later on, as Rat pointed out more than once.. In doing so (i.e. acting consistently over the past few years), BW has definitely also created a comprehensible claim by the loyal, entitled subscribers: That it stays that way and credit is only given where it's due. Reliability is the keyword here: Say what you will do and then do what you say, nothing more, nothing less. So if people demand that BW offers an exclusive reward to everyone, they disregard the need for T&C to be consistent and reliable in order to keep the business stable. I think that as non-employees of BW, we can only speculate on how big the financial impact of such a measure would be. However, imo the observation holds true that the entire mechanic of future subscriber rewards is damaged in some way if the requirements for an earlier reward are loosened retroactively. Mind you, the game will not insta-collapse in case this is done, but there will be a decline in subscriptions (for example, I will not do this another time as soon as a precedent has been set). And since subscriptions are regular income, whereas occasional CC purchases by Preferred or F2P players are rather not, it is not sure that this decline in subscriptions will do the game any good, especially if the price for a later purchase of the original subscriber reward isn't reasonably high (four digit CC at the very least). As of now, I guess SWTOR is a mere cash cow of EA (i.e. an established brand on a saturated market, google the "Boston Matrix" in case you want to know more), the initial development cost should have been amortized by now. That means that every single dollar earned is weighed against the resources put into this game. I'm very convinced that as soon as this game stops being profitable, it'll be shut down in order to create a new rising star on the MMO front. They've done so with SWG, and they will do so with SWTOR. Anyway, before I get completely sidetracked, I'll conclude this lengthy post. It surely is sad if people unintentionally or innocently didn't meet the requirements for a reward, and I totally understand that they're not pleased not to be granted the benefits. However, general rules such as T&C should not be changed just to cater to specific particular interests of very few people, unless those interests concern human rights. And well, those people who intentionally decided not to follow the carrot in the first place, and afterwards make a fuss about it as soon as they find this might have been cool to have after all... Tough luck, move on, next time you have a new chance with a different reward. Most things in life have a price, and some offers are only temporarily available, and if you aren't willing to pay for them when they are offered, you have no basis for a later claim. In a well-justified individual case, maybe a company can make an exception, but it will never become more than that.
  4. Ha, just figured that out as well! This is really weird... thanks for the assist anyway! Problem solved - thread can be deleted, thanks!!
  5. I absolutely second this thread - I have encountered the very same issue and hope this gets fixed soon, since it really kinda devalues the rewards you gain through this event. For me it affects the Reaver Armor set which does not unlock due to 5 parts not contributing to the set count, only chest and gloves feature the set counter. I'm able to provide screenshots in case this helps the devs. Cheers, Force42
  6. HI there, I had to search for quite some time, as the in-game customer support seems to have vanished. Or maybe someone can enlighten me where this has gone since the introduction of the cartel market item stash, I'm really missing the ? symbol in the main bar. Is this a bug or the removement of a feature?
  7. I love the idea you had there, I would totally crowdfund any project like this. Only problem is: Star Wars is a Disney brand now, and when talking about EpVII, they already stated that the movies, plus the Clone Wars series, are the only Star Wars content which is canon so far. That means: Neither the expanded universe (with all the cool books like the Thrawn trilogy) nor any computer game such as KoTOR1, 2 or SWTOR are canon, strictly speaking. Following from that, EA will never be allowed to produce a KoTOR or SWTOR-themed movie because Disney does not want to promote other Star Wars Content than the upcoming movies (Rogue One, EpVIII, EpIX). And because they own the Trademark, Disney will be able to deny any requests of that kind. As much as I'd love to have a KoTOR movie, I have to say that unfortunately this game is allowed to exist solely because it provides a steady cash flow for EA, and because it lures people into becoming Star Wars fans, which in return increases the possibility of economic success for the upcoming Disney Star Wars movies.
  8. To cut it short: This is not going to happen. Setting up the game on an entirely new engine would mandate for a wholly new game, which will only take place as soon as SWTOR (e.g. BioWare's MMO Cash Cow) has outlived its rentability. The effort needed for a new standard of graphic resolution etc., would definitely excess the capabilities which BioWare has available for SWTOR. Moreover, the resources drawn to remastering the game would not be available for maintaining the current one, so things like bug fixes would take even longer than they already do! Besides, you do not make your position any more relevant by simply claiming there would be "many others" asking for the same thing. I have seen a lot of ideas and demands on this forum, but a complete redo of SWTOR so far has not occured to me as an issue that really pains many people. Just put the emphasis on how much YOU want it and give others the chance to join in. Strength in numbers is only created by many people supporting a suggestion, not by emphatic statements of the OP's.
  9. Hey guys, I don't know if anybody has noticed this, but I think I have made a quite useful observation concerning the Champion Grophets which you need for the "Wolf of Rishi" achievement and the Rishi Datacrons. I didn't know where else to put this, so I hope this helps. Some guys have been complaining on forums about how they waited for hours and no spawn on Breck the Grophet... I had the same thing, I was in a group with two others from my guild and we killed the placeholder mobs in order to get the data packs. So we killed Straugh and Wupp, each spawned about the 7th to 10th time we killed the placeholder. Then on to Breck... and more than two hours and no avail. We met an Imp who said he'd been trying for SIX hours. One of the other guys had the data packs in his loot, and when the group broke up he gave the packs to me (being the highest ranking within our guild, I'm trustworthy, I guess ). Anyway, today I logged in and one of the others said he'd tried to get Breck to spawn and managed so after 5 trash mob spawns. I, however, having the two data packs in my inventory, continued slaughtering Grophets and Grophlets... and chatting with my guildmate who also collected Wupp's data pack after 6-7 respawns again. A thought came to my mind - I travelled to my stronghold, transferred the data packs to my storage, returned to Rishi... ... And after 7 little Grophets, guess who spawned! I concluded from this observation that apparently, the chance of a champion spawn is significantly lower than 5% if there is someone around the spawn point with exactly two data packets in their inventory. So, transferring them to your storage or sort of the like, you avoid this lower spawn rate and get your third packet waaay quicker. I know, so far this has only been a one-time test. But I think that coding this is possible, so maybe you guys can check if this hypothesis bears truth and Bioware has put up a nice little timesink at this point... I'm curious what you can find out about this!
  10. I already commented in the other thread and supported the mentioned idea of creating instances of all the planets (the code is already in existence thanks to the PVE and PVP instances, so coding it wouldn't take too much time) with, say, SM, HM and NiM settings so you find the exact same mobs in the same places, but they are stronger, use some nasty mechanics etc. and thus provide more of a challenge to players who are bored out by regular mobs. The idea of un-equipping stuff etc., or setting your comp to passive, or pulling more mobs simultaneously, as far as I understood the OP, is not what creates "difficulty" for him, but "tediousness" - you can still trash the mobs reasonably easy, you will only have to use your basic attack two or three times more often. In that case, the regular mobs are not more difficult in such a way that they force you to adapt to their rotation or think up new tactics. That is why I support his idea of making "higher difficulty instances" of the planets (as long as the loot tables provide an incentive to actually go there and test myself). Anyone remembers Diablo 2? That game put up the same environments three times, in order to play through them with increasing difficulty (I think the trinity normal-hard-nightmare even originates from there...) So this might be a nice approach for the devs, especially because some players would like to play their character stories a second time. Maybe they could offer this to people who have reached lvl50... however, the level system would have to be reworked entirely. I guess that's a thought to begin with, but it needs refining.
  11. As far as I get it, the Start at Lvl60 token grants you a character to start KotFE directly. The story arcs before that (RotHC, SoR) count as completed so you cannot do them with the new toon. I guess you will have to level a new toon, which should not pose much of a problem since leveling has become ridiculously fast (the other day I went from Lvl 20 to Lvl 29 with a new toon in five hours).
  12. ^This. Nice idea, hadn't thought of making planets SM, HM and NiM if they adjust the drops on these planets I'd totally go for it! Why don't you make it an official suggestion? I think you might gain quite some approval from other players...
  13. I have to be honest, I do not test the game's mechanics that thoroughly, I usually gear up just because I'm used to doing so. But you gave me some idea there, maybe my new Jedi Shadow will NOT gear up and see how far he gets
  14. Well, maybe you are one of those who actually know how to play their class, using rotations, defensive cooldowns etc. But here comes the use of trash mobs (including the usual elites on planets, to make it clear). They actually help you learn what is important for your respective class. So if you roflstomp all the mobs in chapter 1 with your two basic attacks and maybe one AoE, and then encounter the big bad one who uses more elaborate mechanics, you will have a hard time not dying in this situation. So, I don't think that mobs "should die at the mere sight of you", they need to provide at least some resistance.
  15. Being a founder as well, I have to say I can sympathize with the OP to some extent. While you always had to endure the tedious timesinks of planetary and side quests just to keep up with the level requirements and not be stomped by elites on higher planets in pre-4.0, it is now much more amenable for players who have done and seen it all and just want to level their alts quickly. Fair enough. Sad thing is, new players who have no idea about how it was then will likely never know, as they have absolutely no incentive to do it the old-fashioned way, i.e. get drawn into these stories and get a better impression of the size and detail of the planets they're leveling on. The way the leveling system is now - sorry to say that to some of the previous repliants - it is a tad too quick. I would really like it if the devs implemented a kinda pre-4.0-ish path for the newcomers, which would consume more time but would also urge them to grasp the size of this game and all the options there are instead of putting them on the fast lane "so that thay can reach endgame quicker". The players which this game gains through this strategy, they eventually won't save the game cuz they are likely rather serial customers, who move on to another game that gives away its charms at least equally easy. Players just like me who fell in love with this game cuz it used to be so immersive, they might have been the original target group for this change - but newbies will likely never appreciate this change of pace. As for the discussion about the companions being OP, my feeling is that it is generally okay how they are, but just a bit less power would be fine as well. Leveling new alts, I found out that by the time I reach Nar Shaddaa, I'm already at level cap when I start the planetary questing, and I've encountered two or three occasions so far in which I actually got close to dying even though having my companion in healing stance. (I even died, but only when coming across an unsoloable champion mob and not realizing it until it was too late ) That being said, I'd like to point out to the OP that you have some options to shrink your Companion's performance so the mobs are more of a challenge again (someone else put this in a different thread some weeks ago): 1. Set your companion to DPS 2. Deactivate the most powerful abilities 3. Intentionally pull more than one group of mobs at a time 4. Set your companion to passive when fighting normal and/or strong mobs. These four ideas all do the trick for the ones seeking challenge while leveling.
  16. Alternative is, go for another player to do the heroic with you. If you find someone experienced, they'll show you how it works. I've soloed one Exarch so far with my Jedi Sentinel, but it took quite some attempts to even get to the final fight.
  17. I didn't bother doing a context search on 171 pages for others who've posted it, but here's my two all-time favourite SWTOR lines: 1. Smuggler, on some planet (I think it was Nar Shaddaa) when encountering a gang grunt with a long bieberesque haircut: "Is that supposed to be a hairstyle or did a womp-rat just die on your head?" That alone let me slip off my chair laughing, but the NPC's reply was even better: "What... I'm... It's... SHUT UP!" [pointing at my smuggler] 2. Republic Ilum story, one of those return-to-base-get-new-input-and-run-off-again parts with Supreme Commander Rans. I cannot recall the actual mission, but it was a new clue and it becomes clear that the character needs to go somewhere. The conversation option given to me was: "So, Back to freezing our... toes." And when choosing this, the character says: "Do you know what the temperatures are out there? I've got frostbite on my... somewhere you don't want to have frostbite." This also almost made me fall from my chair, I was laughing soooo hard... to me as a guy it's especially funny if it's a female toon saying this, always gets my mental cinema going There's a couple of other awesome lines, but these two to me were most memorable.
  18. Hey folks, hey devs, I think the most difficult part for the devs' work is that a MMO attracts a wide variety of players, especially if there's also a whole lot of solo story content to be enjoyed. I myself am rather the solo story type, only occasionally doing group content like FPs, Raids and sort of the like. However, I have had my share of hardcore MMO raiding some years before and simply cannot afford the time anymore. So, I kinda have seen both sides of the MMO populace, if you want to put it that way. What I think is happening here, is that the Devs try to appease all the various player types somehow, but struggle hard (I won't say fail because there's still room and time for improvement) to meet certain quality requirements. The various bugs reported since 4.0 and being discussed on these forums seem to not have been addressed yet in a satisfying way. I guess there's an overall priority list for the Devs which is not limited to bugs. The quality of the Single-player story content is degrading more and more. While in Vanilla SWTOR there were 8 unique class stories and a faction-wide planetary story arc for each planet, the variety melted down to the faction-specific planetary story arcs for RotHC and then on to Oricon and SoR. And now, the "amazing new story-driven content" of 4.0, in fact, is quite a huge step away from the level of quality we got in the leveling story arc. Melting eight classes into one story (which is, in part, extremely railroaded and obviously thought for the Jedi Knight), does not do the game any good, because many classes, especially the non-force-users, seem out of place and the explanation why V would stick around them is not exactly plausible. Moreover, the introduction of a huge third unknown faction which excels against Republic and Empire because of their "transcendence" in the force, respectively their not being bound by the limitations of one side, puts a tremendous strain on what we have learned about the nature of the force so far. Even Revan eventually failed at mastering the middle, impressively depicted in KotOR and then in SoR. I personally like to ponder about the story I encounter, get involved in this universe and let my mind drift around in it, but KotFE so far has left us with quite some plotholes and even some thorough disappointments, which have all been made a topic on these forums already. I think there'd be a lot more demand (and even attraction for founding subscribers who left the game on the way) if the class stories returned - or at least a specific story for force-users and non-force-users of each faction, making it four stories again. The way that KotFE has developed so far actually makes replaying the story a tedious and largely boring timesink, since only significant difference you can obviously make up to Chapter XI is having Koth leave you for bombing civilians. All the other story elements - even in crucial moments - effectively produce the same result no matter what decision you take. You decide to not save Lana - she's rescued anyway. You decide not to use V's force against arcann - you're being stabbed by him and are thus just as weak as you would have been if you had chosen differently. I personally like the real options in the 1-50 stories, where you can really even sacrifice important NPCs or kill them for being annoying. And the different story endings for the IA are an awesome example of what this game and this creative team are capable of. Everything is possible, from becoming the "imperial Batman" to joining the SIS - This is why I loved KotOR I and II and these are the things I love most about SWTOR! I think it is clear why I don't appreciate KotFE that much after all - This "one story fits all" rationale forces certain out-of-character actions of your toons, which is why I won't go through this with any Non-Force-User class. At least not beyond chapter IX so I can at least be based on Odessen. I understand that the aforementioned flaws in the game are a result of the creative team having tremendous schedule pressure with the announcement of monthly chapters, but as to the single-player possibilities of the game (which are clearly shown in the 1-50 story arcs), KotFE is far from sufficient. So, if there is any perspective to make it at least four distinct stories again at some point, I'll probably stay subscribed until this game is dust. The way it is now, I am subscribed, but only to push my JK alt through the new content, maybe do the second- or third-newest chapters my sith and JC alts if I can spare the time, and play certain 1-50 character stories for the first or maybe a second time to see how they play out and what the different choices entail. But honestly, until something changes about the way "story-driven content" is presented, this content will be no incentive to keep me subscribed. I want CLASS story, not MASS story (pun intended). And Star Wars as a trademark and universe should offer so much which is still untold... Sorry for the lengthy post, but I wanted to differenciate and not go on a rant. Hope it is appreciated!
  19. Hey Dynamiter, Here's my 2 cents on your suggestions: 1. Monday morning 0:00 GMT is actually five or six hours earlier on sunday evening on the US east coast. I think this is a time where many people might want to play, so shutting the game down for patching during primetime is something they would never want to do unless being forced to by a serious bug. That being said, I guess the time of the day (i.e. 1pm GMT) is rather imperative since during daytime most people have other things to attend to. 2. BW gives subscribed players a monthly (30-day) reward already. I would totally love getting more CCs for my subscription no matter how they justify it, but I think they won't do this in order to keep the economy and the incentive to buy CCs for real cash as it is now. 3. Same as with 2nd. One could think up a billion reasons why players should be entitled to receiving more CCs complimentarily, but these things sell for extra $, and revenue is the only thing that will keep this game alive. I don't like this perspective but economy follows certain rules. 4. I have never owned a guild myself, but I would totally welcome the opportunity to do so. Restricting the foundation with a minimum number of members, I reason, is the result of devs not wanting the servers get stuffed with one-man-guilds all taking up server space or so. However, lately this topic has not been of any concern to me. 5. There already is a Rakghoul event which returns on a regular basis. The idea you had, threatening even players with the transition into a Rakghoul unless cured, will likely prove unfeasible due to gameplay and character usability reasons. What if a player lets his character turn Rakghoul? Will he be condemned to run around as a Rakghoul forever? If so, which incentive should a player have to take part in this possible threat to his enjoyment of the game? And if not, what would be the use of coding something as complex as your idea?
  20. Oh btw: I think a "Manipulative b*i*t*c*h" title for a SI - especially female SI - would be nice All hail to off-topic replies! \o/
  21. ... Thanks for the pun Good one, +1 from me - also a camo dye for troopers would be awesome. I second that. Worst thing, some of these skirt parts clip through the pants which looks really meh. I would only support that if you can also sell your strongholds. I have three, use only one but would only spend CC or credits on a fourth one if I could get rid of one of my unused ones in the process. I don't exactly get what you mean. Are you talking about the KOTFE companions, resp. Senya, Koth, Lana etc.? This demand has been uttered multiple times already, you're not alone.
  22. The OP made me think of my first toon ever, which I started shortly after launch and sent to Nar Shaddaa by mistake since he was only level 16... On Nar Shaddaa I was, "**** why is this game so hard... died again on a single Elite..." This planet REALLY pulled my aggro quite fast. But somehow I survived. Don't ask me how I finished that planet. But I left with Lvl 22, I guess. Then I realized I needed to go to Taris... There I was just roflstomping all the opponents - not one-slashing, but pretty close to it at times. After that, I've never done this kind of twist again, always followed the correct order of things. Reason I'm saying this is, I've leveled my last two missing class alts (Trooper, Agent) only recently, and I kinda liked being on the rather powerful side of each planet's population. I do absolutely not miss having to try a certain elite over and over cuz I haven't got his level yet but need to beat him to progress the story (there's one opponent quite early in chapter 2 of the JK story which I particularly think of when saying this...). But it also does not feel as roflstomping as my described experience on Taris once upon a time. Leveling that way has really become more convenient imo. Maybe a solution for you might be to do the planetary story on just one alt of each faction (which will then be extremely overleveled) and skip it on the others. With the aforementioned Trooper and Agent alts, I did the planetary quests only when unavoidable, otherwise only on every second to third planet. Worked well, always stuck to a level around cap level. I know, still overleveled, but not THAT much.
  23. I think one should always keep in mind that DESCRIBING how a certain mechanic has worked out so far does not equal PARTICIPATING in or APPROVING of that procedure (i.e. buying Hypercrates, cf. OP vs. one or two repliants). I think we can agree that the Unstable Arbiter's Lightsaber is so incredibly attractive (due to Kylo Ren issues ) that a whole lot of players want one of those; yet the drop rate is so ridiculously low that it likely takes more than just one Hypercrate to obtain one (and once it drops, it's so valuable that some rather put it on the GTN, lol). And although I am neither one of the brightest nor the dumbest players on here (I'd say I'm totally average), I have already felt the urge to buy more than one of those hypercrates just because I wanted a certain good-looking item so badly. That was a long time ago, I've taken quite some time off this game and am now cured of the addiction factor which quite a number of players definitely have succumbed to. However, putting every single item (armor/weapons) existing in game on the CM would a.) create a list of thousands of items, of which some are quite similar to each other, and b.) would definitely get the aforementioned "cosmetic gear addicts" (such as my former self) away from those Hypercrates. I totally second the calculation example presented before. A single 2400CC purchase is way less lucrative for BW than multiple 5400CC purchases and a lot of fluff on the GTN. Besides, quite some people I know tend to feel privileged on here because they obtained a certain gold item when it was available via the crates or was still rare in-game, and offering it to everyone now would just greatly annoy those people. (I was one of those concerning the non-CM, craftable +41 stat purple color crystals, but I've made my peace with the fact that they are now being sold on the GTN for less than 200k.) However, since I do not entirely oppose the OPs intention (and since I hate some of the ridiculously high prices on the GTN), I could very much imagine a possibility on the CM (e.g. Collections???) to buy certain single items from old packs for a suitable CC price which then bind on pickup, i.e. cannot be resold on the GTN. A gold CM mainhand item in that section could sell for 1500CC, a silver one for 800CC and a bronze one for 500CC, for example. The new stuff would still have to be obtained via the Crates, ensuring revenue for BW by milking those willing to spend their entire monthly salary on these things, and the old stuff would really become a cosmetic bonus for players who want to look nice. A side effect of this would consist in normalizing the insane prices on the GTN for some of the old gear which was obtained cheaply and then stashed by some guys in order to gain bazillions of credits later on. If that should happen, I can hear the outrage - but these people definitely get no sympathies from me. But I am very convinced that we do not need another possibility to preview items. If you know how to use the tools already available to you, you can see very well how items look. Apart from that, in the similarity section on TORFashion you can see all the different Mainhand designs and similarities and get an impression what you'd prefer. All you'd have to do is remember the names and look them up on the GTN, some of the items on there are not that expensive really.
  24. Well... we have to be wrong from time to time, huh? I found an imperial character of mine which was prepped to do the Hoth bonus series. I got the achievement - and since it was the last one missing, I have now achieved the title "The Loremaster". So, apparently, it is working - No entries missing for Makeb. Seems the achievement works as intended.
  25. Sorry for the Necro... I am struggling with some of the lore items in order to get the loremaster achievement. What happened to those lore elements which had to be obtained via the bonus series? As far as I get it, the Bonus Series do not exist anymore since 4.0, and Especially the Imperial one on Hoth had a lore entry which you need for the achievement. Does anyone have an idea how it works out now? Thanks in advance for your help!
