  2. Hi there, has the aforementioned issue been fixed (i.e., Phrojo being taken away due to Kotfe/Kotet) or is this an intended effect?
  3. As I posted in another thread in the bug reports forum, the problem seems to persist for certain characters. two of mine (sentinel, sage) could not be logged into due to them being at the Rishi stronghold. A third one (sorc) could, though... weird issue. I hope you find the error...
  4. Hi, I am currently trying to gain access to my characters which are hanging around in my Rishi stronghold. During character selection they're selectable, but once I click "play", I get a loading screen with the Onslaught text and the turning thingy in the lower right corner of my screen, but no progression bar in the lower middle part of the screen. After a while I get the progression bar, but upon completion it sends me back to the character selection screen. Since I do only have 2 of 18 characters who are NOT on Rishi at the moment, I am quite limited in my playing experience. Please find a fix for this! Thanks in advance, F42 Update 1: It only seems to affect certain classes or single characters... my sorc could log in fine, but my sage and my sentinel could not. I'm checking if it does affect other classes as well.
  5. This is an awesome idea! I totally and entirely second the OP's suggestion.
  6. Hi there, I think it's nice that people can create Nautolan toons now, and I think it's nice that subscribers get the species unlock for free. However, it would be way easier to further the usage of the new species if a >75% (ideally 100%) discount on change of species were to be implemented with the appearance designer - maybe only for a couple of weeks, and maybe only for that one species. That is because right now, I'm definitely not willing to pay the 792 cc which I'd be charged for changing my toon's species to Nautolan. If you want to encourage people to check out the new species, give them that incentive. I'd appreciate that a lot!
  7. Oh well, sometimes it's sooo easy... I wouldn't have thought of that option ^^ Thanks a lot for pointing it out! Thread closed ^^
  8. Hi there, I've just added the Rishi Hideout to my list of Strongholds, and I really like the Overlook as I'm aiming to have something like a neat little "apartment" for my toons. It was a nice idea by the devs to add the option to make the Overlook a character's arrival spot. However, I'm dearly missing the respective exit panel in that place, which would turn the overlook into the perfect spot to hang out for my toons. My workaround - that is, to travel to another SH and then use the exit panel there - is a bit annoying, tbh. Please, add this to the Rishi Hideout!
  9. Well, anyway, what's it to you? This is how good customer service works. It doesn't hurt them or anyone to grant another week of double xp/cxp. Nobody has less of a gaming experience if they do so. AND (as was pointed out by others) the past week was grossly underwhelming for a number of players who found the lag to be so bad that they couldn't get anything done properly. I've been working on customer service, and what I've learned there is: If the mistake has occured on our end, and there's something which I can give away to appease unhappy customers which a.) does not cost the company one single penny and b.) is useful for virtually everybody affected by the mistake, then just give the customers that thing. A nice gesture, everybody pacified and you can concentrate on all the other stuff which might be more important. BTW, the servers are back online. ^^ EDIT: Annndddd... you can enter your SHs again! Thanks, Eric, thanks guys!
  10. Hey guys, apparently it's not yet early afternoon in the US, soooo... @Eric and the guys: For the time lost with this error, could we have another week of 2XP/2CXP, pretty please? I promise to play until my fingers bleed or my mind collapses from sleep deprivation I still have some lowbies to level
  11. To my knowledge, the XP reward for a mob always goes to the player/group who attacked the mob first. Only recently found this to be true in CZ-198 and on Ossus (i.e., in the respective dailies with the droids).
  12. Tofu_shark, check that guys post history. Seems that he's always been on the edge of his seat, the previous posts all read like "Well, [situation] is bad at the moment. Why am I paying for this crap? BW, fix it or i'm out!" Not a single post with an actual intention of getting serious responses or sort of the like. As I stated in my previous post: Rage-quitters gonna rage-quit. *shrug*
  13. Rage-quitters gonna rage-quit. *shrug* Honestly, what did you expect? To return to a game with a set of different mechanics, different class-balances etc... and find veteran mode instances to be faceroll-easy? Everything comes at a price. Sometimes you notice that you have to adapt and do content all over again just to get a feeling for this. If you want faceroll-easy content, do anything in story mode.
  14. Hi, I'm wondering if anyone else is also a bit perplexed about how the game values the dialogue choices made in this little quest. I'm talking about the pubside version,
  15. There's also another aspect to it. If the 6.0 gearing system means everyone can get any gear that's in the game, the result of any type of challenging content (NiM Ops, Ranked PVP...) will depend even more on one VERY important thing that does not even remotely depend on your stats, but solely on how hard you trained and how well you know the class you're playing: Skill. Some time ago I've seen a youtube video of a group of players doing a HM Flashpoint using entirely blank gear, that is, with absolutely NO mods in it. No ears, no implants, no relics, no armorings/hilts, mods, enhancements, etc. They cleared the FP. Because they knew their classes well and made the most of what they had. I think a more horizontally oriented gearing system in 6.0 will weed out those elitists who only are successful atm because they spent time grinding and dominate stat-wise. Those guys cannot keep up their dominance once the opponent is even closely on the same level OR has more skill and knows his technique. On the other hand, those guys who are elite skill-wise (who in my experience are mostly NOT elitists, because they know what they can do), will still be elite with the new gearing system, because they simply know how to max out what they have by their knowledge of rotations, interrupts, snares, cleanses, general situational awareness, etc. I am neither of the above. Nowadays I'm a rather casual player who is decent with rotations, etc., but I've had my share of experience with elite and elitist players. And I cannot say I feel sympathy for the latter due to their fears of loss. Just my 2 cents ;-)
  16. Hi! Maybe I am missing critical background information here, in which case my reply may not be warranted or useful at all... But I have serious trouble understanding what you are trying to convey. (more frequent use of commas, periods etc. would really help others understand you.) What I got out of your comment so far is that you pay the non-recurring subscription, wanted to do a NIM Ops with a guild and they did not let you take part in a raid because they think that you are not "progressive" (or "good") enough. Am I correct? Well, if I am, I feel for you and can perfectly understand that you are p***ed off - but how can it be BW's fault that certain groups of players show an elitist demeanor and dismiss other players? BW definitely created that type of content for everyone (okay, at least for every paying customer), and that means that any group of such paying customers can try to finish a certain Op. The way the group is assembled, who's in and who's out, is entirely up to the players. There is simply no way anyone can blame the creator of the game for that dynamic. I mean, it's kinda the same if you drive on a public road in your car, and another car driver blocks your way and prevents you from using a certain road for whatever reason. Whom should you blame, that other driver or the state? - Well, easy, isn't it? The state builds roads for anyone to use, and you are free to. So if you meet an a**hole by incident, it's definitely a nuisance, and most likely that other guy has no right to do so - but it is hardly a situation in which you will be able to sue the state for that incident. Much rather should you blame the moron who stopped you. So, if that happened to you in your own guild, maybe it's time to find a new one with less uppity people planning raids. There's a lot of more casual guilds out there, maybe you should give it a try.
  17. Totally second this. My headcanon has several of my older characters (which I created in the first years of SWTOR and played all the way to Ossus) around the age of 50, I would totally love the appearance designer option to let their faces show their age. Eric, what's your take on this? Is there a possibility that this could be implemented with 6.0 or one of the first patches?
  18. Hey BeoAzazel, They occasionally put armor from former sets on the CM. Just keep checking the CM, and I'm sure you will get it in time. Sincerely, Pat
  19. I think there are quite some decent sets of armor that look good on female toons. The Sensuous Dress, Relaxed Tracksuit, Relaxed Uniform, just to name some.
  20. Hi, I think my Nadia wears something like this on one of my JCs.. I'll look it up for you. EDIT: My Nadia wears the Remnant Dreadguard Consular's Robe. Here's a link to the respective page on torf.mmo-fashion.com: https://torf.mmo-fashion.com/remnant-dreadguard-consular/ There, you can also check which similar outfits there are. I hope this helps you. Cheers!
  21. Thanks for the reply! I've already checked TORfashion for this, but the videos for some of these allegedly "similar" sabers show that the sound palette is different. Up to now there's no other saber that I could get my hands on which had a comparable sound set. Edit: On a second note... the Redeemer's Starforged Saber features quite precisely the same sound set as the Cynosure saber. What a revelation!
  22. Hey guys, I really liked the Tier 1 PVP lightsabers you could buy from the fleet vendor for WZ comms during 4.x, the Cynosure sabers (with mods rated 204), most notably for their absolutely UBER sounds! Not even the defiant sabers are THAT evil, sound-wise... Since those aren't available anymore, could you please make them craftable/buyable, or use the sounds for new lightsabers? I wasn't able to equip all my Sith toons with them, and I really really would like to do so! Thanks in advance, F42
  23. Walk up to them and kick them. it usually takes a considerable amount of HP from the walker every time you do this.
  24. Some things to keep in mind when fighting Vaylin: - Stay close (inside the small, permanent circle). All Damage dealt while outside that circle is reflected back to you. Maybe that's why some of you think you deal no damage and die really fast? - Use your class' Stun-Break ability (especially when she starts slamming you around) - Use whatever Snare-break you might have when you feel slowed down (such as Force speed on Sages/Shadows with respective utility selection) - Regularly use whatever debuff-cleansers you have in store (Not sure if she puts any debuffs on you, but it might explain why some die so fast) - Run outside that huge red circle. She doesn't attack you while channeling Overload, that's your chance. - Use the healing memories to heal you, or kite Vaylin through them (this keeps you alive properly OR does massive damage to her). If you keep those in mind, you will win. Still have to do this on my further alts, but I had to do this ONCE on my Marauder, even when not having Valky's father with me. It is absolutely feasible if you keep those mechanics in mind. It's not that roflstomp kind of fight, Vaylin poses a challenge. But as some others already pointed out, you need to wear her down. My mara's fight took at minimum 10 minutes, maybe more, but I took her down.
