  1. Before you start annoying other players with letters you have to look up codes to type why not see if a simple ' or - in the name would look ok as both of those symbols are available for names.
  2. This is a longstanding companion bug. It also persists if the group drops back down to 2 people. The even more annoying bug that occurs now is getting the lock on your companion from a full group and not having it go away when the group disbands.
  3. It would be nice if the options you got when right clicking a player's name in chat or their character portrait included the option to report their name. It seems with the recent server changes that the number of people with inappropriate names has risen.
  4. What I find works well in most groups is ask people to chose the lets talk option on the Asara conversation. Point out that they will still get their light side option and it will net more opportunities for social points. Some people will still ignore you and chose the light side option but at least you have a better chance of getting to the dark side points. (For the person earlier in the thread it is not a choice of lets go or leave her behind in the first set of 2 options. It is lets go or lets talk. The lets talk is actually a better one for a light sider anyway since it gives you the chance to tell her what is going on behind her back with the captain.)
  5. Unfortunately new characters do not get the bonus. I already know that from my secondary server characters. I was waiting to create one alt on that server til I unlocked the race I wanted to make him and finished that after the mailings for the pet and that new alt was left out. I was disappointed about that since I would have liked the pet on all my characters on my account.
  6. My biggest question is when will we be seeing the Cathar and HK-51?
  7. The biggest issue with allowing same first names to exist is the mail system they would first need to have someway to identify which character X the mail is meant for. Same issue for whispers.
  8. Actually if you look at the transfer page we all did move. The high population servers just share the name with our old server in some cases. I saw that the night before and was wondering how that would impact the characters and guilds on The Shadowlands, Jedi Covenant, etc.
  9. If you mean that you have 2 or more characters that had the same name on different servers that are now on the same one then only the one or ones with the ! have to change names.
  10. Hoth is the earliest that any of the classes get the last companion. The latest is the Sith Inquisitor with the final companion coming in a class mission right after Voss. Sith Warrior: Hoth Sith Inquisitor: After Voss Imperial Agent: Belsavis Bounty Hunter: Belsavis Jedi Knight: After Hoth Jedi Consular: After Belsavis Smuggler: Hoth Trooper: Hoth
  11. 1) Dual Specialization (with bar options saved for each of the specializations) 2) World looking for group to have the ability to chose what you are queuing for (aka selectable heroics). Separate category for world bosses since they need an op group instead of a party. 3) Looking for group defaulting to the appropriate role for the character's specialization
  12. I definitely liked that the Race missions were globally unlocked instead of individually unlocked like the Rakghoul event. That made it a lot easier to get alts through the event. I did like the way that the Rakghoul event had dailies though. I was a bit disappointed that there were no repeatable missions for the race. My main suggestion for future events would be to either have more places where each individual mission can be completed to spread people out or not make them funnel where only one person / group can complete at a time. If something has to be a one at a time thing then it should be behind an instance portal so it does not become a pile of people all trying to beat one another to the click. I would also suggest taking events like these and making them return on a yearly basis so as you get new players in the game they can experience the events as well. Then the codex entries would still be obtainable in the future for people that missed the original run of the event. Then you would even have the option of upgrading the vendors to be close to whatever the current gear level is when the events make their annual appearance.
  13. The big place where cross server group finding helps is in leveling flash points. Things tend to go lot of people queuing at the lowest levels and the highest levels and not so many in the middle ranges. So cross server can increase the pool of players available for each of the mid range flash points. This was seen very well in WoW when it became so much easier to find groups in the leveling dungeons with cross server queues.
  14. I also have two servers: Main server: 50 Maurader (DS) (sith pureblood) (female) 50 Juggernaut (LS) (human) (female) 50 Operative (DS) (cyborg) (female) 50 Mercenary (DS) (human) (female) 50 Assassin (DS) (zabrak) (female) 50 Sentinel (DS (started LS fell to the dark)) (miralukan) (female) 50 Shadow (LS) (human) (female) 50 Scoundrel (LS) (sith pureblood) (female) Secondary server: 50 Operative (LS) (human) (female) 43 Juggernaut (started dark heading light) (sith pureblood) (male) 23 Assassin (LS) (twilek) (male) 25 Commando (DS) (Mirialan) (male) 26 Shadow (DS) (Miralukan) (male) 27 Scoundrel (DS) (human) (male) Last two here will be a LS bounty hunter (Miralukan) (male) and a DS Jedi Knight (sith pureblood) (male) The second server is where I am doing some different choices to see how things play out. Still feel that the agent seems to have the highest amount of options in the story . (yes after I made the op on the second server I decided the rest of the characters should be male to see the other romance options.)
  15. I have been having a blast with it. I started some new characters on Jedi Covenant just so I could experience the flash points at level. The time til a flash point pops varies quite a bit from day to day and based on the time of day. I have occasionally seen instant queues as a dps. My biggest complaint is the no travel back to your starting point and the occasional resetting of the roles to default. I personally would much rather the default to have been nothing selected so I don't have to decline when I miss noticing it reset and put me in a role that my character was not set up to handle.
  16. Being able to just see the schematics that a crafter does not know would be the biggest improvement that I want to see. If nothing else if the patterns would at least show already learned on them if you know them that would be a big improvement.
  17. On the plus side we are eventually going to get more character slots so you will one day get the chance to try the smuggler also. I agree that with having the choice of only one that agent is the way I would recommend. Though once you have the character opening definitely do the smuggler also as there are some massively funny parts in that story line and the companions can add some good humor as well. Love it when Corso tells the enemies that now they are dumb, ugly, and dead . I like the agent story so much that I have two level 50 agents now on different servers just so I could make different choices to see how it changed the feel of the story. I just wish that the extra character slots would come soon so I can make a trooper on my main server as that is the only class I do not have there due to making both a sith maurader and a sith jugg (one dark and one light).
  18. Actually it would make a lot of sense for the Digital Deluxe players to get the same in game items that the CE players get. What the CE players get over and above are the physical items that came with the Collectors Edition. Just look at World of Warcraft. Mists of Pandaria now has its own digital deluxe version which gives all the in game items that the CE version does. The Digital Deluxe players just miss out on the physical items that the CE has which it makes sense to be the big bonus for the CE.
  19. How will it work if a player has to unsubscribe for a short while due to financial issues? Will they lose stuff that they will not get back when they can afford to subscribe again? Or will any subscription features just be locked til they can unlock it again?
  20. The place where cross server really helps is for the flash points that are below maximum level. This is where the biggest queue time reduction occurred in WoW also as it gave access to a higher number of leveling people than existed on any single server. When you start getting into the mid level flash points you start seeing the time for one to open go up. You can see why based on the planets as the population per planet decreases as you get to the mid levels. The highest populations tend to be at the start of the leveling process and at the end.
  21. What I really want to know is how exactly the Legacy of Crafting perk works. Does it only effect crafting skills or is it a critical bonus to the crew skill missions as well?
  22. I have not yet tested with a light side SW but at Dark II I was able to get either light or dark Jaesa by telling her which way to go in the conversation. The first time I thought I had made a mistake by not having her kill her master as it gave me the light codex even though I had told her to join me in darkness. So I reset it before thinking of the true test. Summon her after you complete the conversation and you can see if you have light or dark Jaesa and can then leave and reset it if you have the wrong version. (Dark Jaesa has very evident dark makeup that Light Jaesa does not have). If you are still not sure you can make the definitive test when you get to your ship. Don't answer the holo just go to Jaesa and see if she gives you the Dark or Light welcoming mission. If you have the wrong mission escape it and then go back to the planet and reset it. In the interest of science I did tell her to stay in the light and did get light side Jaesa with a dark character. I then reset her and made her dark. Note that in both the light and dark option I chose to give Nomen Karr to my master so it is not necessary to make her kill him. I also in the version that I kept took only one darkside choice which was the one where I told her to join me in darkness. My sith is in the process of going light side but I still wanted her dark to see the romance dialogues. (Yes he chose to let his light side reflection merge with him on Tatooine and began his path toward the light at that point.) For those that did not have the option to have her use her power on you did you have her scan her master? That may be the key choice that lets you have her scan you. I had her do that in both the version where I turned her light and the one where I turned her dark. In both cases she saw how dark I still am. (I did spare both her old master and had her parents join the Empire. I spared both Jedi on her ship.) Eventually I will get around to doing this same test with a light side sith to see if I can manipulate it into a dark Jaesa. Though I suspect that for a light sith warrior her sensing your light is the key that prevents any option to take her dark. It is definitely interesting that a dark SW can have her stay light though.
  23. The price is based off the vendor sell price. The game takes that and then increases it by some amount. I am guessing it is multiplying the sell price by a set amount but I have not looked close enough to find out what the multiplier is.
  24. The line: "I love assassinating assassins, they always look soo surprised" is from the mission: The First Casualty on Nar Shaddaa. It is open to all the Imperial classes and is one of my favorite lines just like so many others in this thread . I also really love some of the various companion sayings on the various worlds like Guss on Corellia when leaving the space port: "The Force better be with me. I'm too young and handsome to die on Corellia." The healing companions have plenty of funny lines that they like to say during combat: Guss: "I'm a mean Jedi." Guss: "Don't make me use this lightsaber." Guss: "I'll heal you with Jedi power." Doc: "Didn't you notice my Jedi friend?" Talos: "We are dea.... Oh my goodness we won"
  25. If you are asking which is which for the equivalence it goes Operative = Scoundrel and Sniper = Gunslinger. So your Operative is your stealth guy who can melee dps or heal and the Sniper is the non stealth guy that likes to use cover to dps .
