  1. When SWTOR launched I played on the Imperial side with a Sith Juggernaut. Now that I've returned to the game I rolled a Jedi Consular, having a shot at the good guy side of things. The story I'd like to tell is one of redemption, and that requires a past, baggage if you will. I've now tried joining two separate RP guilds on StarForge Republic side and each has their own set of what appear to me as canon-breaking rules regarding the character backgrounds. One insisted that Jedi would never cooperate or collaborate with Republic SIS under any circumstances, because the shenanigans SIS got up to were just too "nasty" for Jedi to ever bother involving themselves with. K. Although I fully understand we cannot use the game's storyline as our personal character background, this flies in the face of SO MANY of the storylines it's ridiculous. SIS hands the Jedi information all the time. Jedi routinely use that information in the ways they see fit. But no, that wasn't a thing for them. Guild two didn't share that oversimplified view of SIS, but they did categorically refuse to consider any kind of character background involving anything Dark Side-y. Forgive me, but the entire struggle between Light and Dark sides of the Force is riddled with stories of transition in both directions. It's one of the most crucial concepts to the canon universe - that no matter how well trained, how well intentioned or how pure you are, you can still fall to Darkness... and that no matter how cruel, how power-hungry and how insane you are you can still find your way back to the Light. Where's the nuance, man?

Login to Warzone By the time my game loads, I have 30 seconds on my safezone timer Miss the spawn screen Logged out GG
  3. Sith Juggernaut Dings lvl 50 All 6 champ bags are empty of any items, but I get commendations and a Cent. Saber Queue Warzones for the Deathmarch, expecting to get 2-3 shot Alderaan First life, fist 60 seconds, earn 4 commendations, two killing blows, and am declared "unbeatable" Can't wait til Battlemaster :D:D
  4. I've done this with several of my friends so far. I actually have alt characters that I leave at-level with various friends and their characters so that we can group up for all of the class quests and group missions etc. Really enriches the experience when you have a partner alongside you throughout the entire storyline. We play on Terentatek, Imperial side. My main character is Zandragal.
  5. Crash is a good talent IMO, especially for one point. However I agree that it can sometimes be troublesome. With the resolve system, force-leaping to the target and then applying ANY OTHER STUN within the first several seconds = resolve bar. It is also sometimes frustrating in Huttball when you leap to the ball carrier and accidentally give the guy a full resolve bar - thus improving his chances of making a goal. However, as long as you are aware of this and behave accordingly, it can still be useful. The two second stun is very, very brief but allows you to lay down a Chilling Scream before you start attacking, or get off a Force Scream / Sunder / whatever you want before the guy starts moving around again.
  6. "DirectX setup has determined that a newer or equivalent version of DirectX has been installed already. No installation is necessary." >Finish >Nothing changes What files are missing and how should I go about extracting them? Or do you expect me to uninstall DX10 / 11 and install this instead?
  7. I play Juggernaut, Immortal, in PvP. I'm currently using DPS / crit gear, however. . . because I rock it. I regularly get 6-9 medals per game. A bad game for me is 5 medals, an exceptionally good one 10 or more. Besides whacking on people, getting solo-kills, breaking 75k damage and other incidental medals like for 1k defender points, I get mine through Guard. Getting Guard medals requires you to pay attention. It's not Guard the healer, stay within 30m, and profit. You have to actively look at who is CURRENTLY being attacked, switch your guard to them, and help soak that damage. In Huttball, guard the ball carrier when he is being attacked (duh). I'll rack up 3-4 medals in under 60 seconds doing this, as long as I survive long enough in the gibfest to keep my shield on him that long. It's a bit harder in Alderaan or Voidstar, because there's no giant glowing ball begging people to kill the carrier - but you can still get medals here. Guard the healers. Guard people at or below 50% before you run in and taunt / do damage / whatever it is you do (I taunt and kill things and annoy healers). Guard anything, and everything, but most importantly - Guard it WHILE people are hitting them. Not before, not after, WHILE they are being attacked. Doing this skillfully in the middle of a chaotic melee can keep healers alive, frustrate enemy DPS, and earn you tons and tons of medals. Go have fun.

Wait. You mean you guys don't enjoy PvPing for the sake of PvPing? Did I miss something? WTB carrot for *******
  9. There are lvl 46 PvP weapons which come with +25 expertise mods on them. If you really have nothing else to spend your commendations on, buy these and slot them into your armor to boost your expertise pre-50 gear. However, I would first suggest gearing out at least 1 companion with lvl 40 PvP gear.
  10. Preventing people from zoning to Ilum is retarded.
  11. Whine more. Damage and protection medals are easy to earn. I play an Immortal spec PvP jugg and I regularly get 7-10 medals per game, resulting in 100+ commendations per game without any votes necessary. Sometimes people vote for me, but usually only when I am visibly mixing it up in the middle of the group guarding people or do some epic huttball score. You know who I vote for? Healers. 'nuff said.
  12. Warhammer 40k would kick Star Wars ***. You have a fleet of mass-produced star destroyers from the Star Forge?? *** Shadow of the Warp, you're bugfood noobs. AT-AT walkers? Pfft, we have Reaver Titans, scrub. Storm Troopers are guardsmen in carapace armor - which is good. But we have Orkz... and Tyranids... and Space Marines... and Tau... and Eldar.. good luck once you get bugged down in close combat, nubs. All Jedi and Sith wield power weapons. But they are all also effectively Psykers - which means their fancy powers are subject to the Shadow in the Warp, Psychic Hoods, and that fun Dark Eldar guy who makes psychics brains go SPLAT. Oh and I hope you are trained to resist the influence of infinite daemon legions, otherwise. . . . CHAOS JEDI Your Deathstar vs. my Hive Fleet Your wookies vs. my Genestealers Your Sith Emperor vs. Lucius the Eternal, Eldrad, Ghazgkull Thraka, Skarn. . . etc
  13. Nope.jpg I have no interest in spending my hard earned money just because Lucas decided he could make more money off a 3-D release. I detest the general trend of theatre movies these days, upping their prices by $3-5 and attaching "3d" as their justification, even though the effects are absent or gimmicky at best. Furthermore, I hate the movie theaters themselves for going right along. My local venues have the option of regular or 3d versions - right until 5 pm, afterwhich you are forced to pay for the ****** 3d. Hence why I no longer go to the theater. Period.
  14. Yawn. Whine. Don't provide names. GG loser
