  1. Try playing an operative in PVE before crying for nerfs. It's aweful DPS and no nerfs are required. You can't balance a 1v1 PVP fight and think the rest of the game won't be destroyed as a result. After the first 10 seconds of a fight the damage is just bad. My guild has never taken a DPS operatives to flashpoints. They don't exist to begin with and if you ever did find one another class is a better choice for all existing HM content.
  2. I'm on Nadd's Sarcophagus and on weekend mornings I've seen as few as ~14 people on the fleet. Weekday nights as low as 45. Consider some of those are low level guys, some are crafting and chatting, some are afk, etc. I've got a 50 tank and healer which still have a hell of a time finding a group. A month or two ago I was getting groups any time I wanted. It feels like a game in it's death throws. Frequently I'm queued for warzones and spamming for HM invites while I watch TV. Finally giving up and running dailies on an alt.
  3. The very end result would be groups being geared better than they are today if nothing else changes. It's a simple conclusion that's going to hit allot of players. How many times have you carried a group that finished an instance they weren't geared for? Now that the team is geared properly I DPS for a big portion of all boss battles except the last guy in D7. This includes EV normal. 1.2 includes the removal of HM timers so that might even things out a bit. Geared players can run players through more instances a day than was possible before. There are so many things changing it's impossible to tell how the big picture will look until it goes live.
  4. In regards to sorcerers: My biggest concern with the coming patch is the nerf to Consumption. This is forcing me down the biochem path and/or sink even more creds into med packs. As if biochem needs any more help or additional intensives. This is a nerf that is completely nullified by taking a specific profession. (I've got a Biochemist alt BH with rakata adrenals, stims, and medpacks. Don't want to have to have two.) --- The double dipping of force mending I can agree with in PVE. I probably shouldn't be able to pump out that amount of healing in the time it takes. I got a fealing I'm ****ed in PVP without it.
  5. QFE. A well run raid that doesn't have the perfect build will still succeed. Running with geared nubs doesn't work.
  6. I'd recommend putting Whirlwind in there like the above poster mentioned and even our AOE storm. When there is allot of trash like in Kaon and BT the force storm stun can prevent enough damage and expedite the killing. My healing method is not all about keeping people topped off. I find that boring. I try to run on the ragged edge with a "goal" of DPSing as much as possible while keeping people alive. I'll blow my relic and/or adrenals, top them off, and then back on DPS. A geared sorcerer healer can add significant DPS. Affliction, force lightening, shock, heal, AOE heal, force lightening, shock, heal, affliction, etc. It all depends on the fight. I make mistakes and wait too long or misjudge the depth of my force pool occasionally but it gets better with practice.
  7. My vote is to skip them. I ran someone through a Taris heroic 2 as full healing spec with a tioneese/centurian DPS companion fairly quickly but a heroic 4 slows things down substantially. It's easy but slow going.
  8. I have killed same faction there. The only time I was there someone was afk sitting in there so I killed them. I went out of the area and the guy came riding back and was not attackable on a PVP server.
  9. Deck Ashara or Andronikos out in the same quality gear and see who gets used. Xalek is a gimp. Either DPS companion in 50 blues will do better than Xalek in purples. I have all three of those guys in a mix of Cent and Tioneese and see no reason to use Xalek as a healer or DPS. The only thing I used Xalek for is buying me time to naked run the heroic 4 daily missions.
  10. They are not even remotely close if equally geared.
  11. Last night I was getting no error messages after going from 36-105 on my weekly. No valor was awarded and there was no message at all. I would see Not worth any valor and also the "killed too recently" message. I ran a full 15 minute Huttball match and came back to get no error message on a couple kills. Finally gave up.
  12. As full heal spec, it's not on my bar. I'll just do an Innervate and a consumption. More heals and regain more force than I used.
  13. It is necessary. When your group is 1 hit away from a wipe that time savings is worth every point.
  14. You need to spend some time trying different strategies. Leveling a sorcerer is easy street friend. Once you get the next companion don't look back. He will take you to 50 and full epic level gear. Until you start passing Champion and Columni pieces down to one of your future companions, it's not even close. Gear your companions as you do yourself. I've elected to take companion gear over and upgrade of my own. You wont regret it.
  15. One of the things I'd like to see tested is Xalek in full purple 50-51 gear in the same type of comparison. My Xalek is in 50-51 purples sucks compared to Revel and Ashara in 49 blues. I'll try to remember to run the test with stats and post back tonight.
