  1. Post a video of yourself playing in a wz, that way, we can review your performance, then tell you where you are going wrong. Sorc's aren't massively underpowered, but they will feel like it if you insist on playing them like a tank, or like a glass cannon. They are neither. I have a fully min/maxed augmented warhero sentinel, and also a casual half bm half recruit sorc. When I play my sorc in pvp, I don't feel underpowered, I just feel like a different class.
  2. 15 Minute server wide warning would've been nice. 50seconds from winning a ranked warzone, now its down as a loss.
  3. Not done the maths myself, but others have. Instead of spouting confusing rubbish out my mouth, I'll point you here > http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=490383
  4. DR for main stat start ~1600, but they are pretty negligible compared to other DR on stats, such as crit rating and surge.
  5. I have full war hero, mostly augmented with might augments, and a few power augments thrown in. Unsure if I would be better ditching the might and stacking more power, but at the mo im at: Strength: 1865 Endurance: 1648 Expertise: 1157 Crit chance: 35.6% Multiplier: 78% Bonus Damage: 519.6 (530 power) With all buffs bar endurance buff.
  6. It's called progression raiding. It's not supposed to be easy, it takes time. Perhaps you need to take a look at the people in your team, BW can't dim down all their content just for the sake of pugs raiding, that's what story mode is for. Content is already easy enough, certainly EV and KP. On your argument against my point of RWZ's not being social, by that I meant, they are not there to be attempted by a random public group. That's why you have normal warzones. A pug group will never win against a guilded group, using teamspeak, with coordination. Guilds very much ARE the answer. Ranked warzones are exactly that, competitive pvp.Writing this in blue to apply my point You wouldn't let a random group of people who had just met the other day join a competitive sporting league, and if they were allowed to join, nobody would expect them to win anything. It miff's me why you think its a social issue that you cannot get a ranked warzone with random people. The only social issue here is that all the good social pvp'ers are in a guild doing ranked warzones, as that's what you do. Nobody pugs a ranked warzone and expects to win. Did I make myself clear?
  7. Sorry to burst your bubble. What you are seeing is a graphical glitch, they are advertising boards, but the texture seems to have bugged for some people.
  8. Trying to balance a game around the game lore? Yup, seems legit. Lets give troopers only one ability, open fire. And have it miss 90% of the time. That was star wars right? You couldn't stun the assasin because he had his cc sheild up, which would have been made clear by the nice foggy white outline around him. Doesn't last too long. run away and pray to god.
  9. Ranked warzones are not a social thing. They are for 8 players to play together, communicating, most likely fellow guildies. It's for competitive pvp, which is probably why you are loosing so fast with your pug group, hence why everyone leaves after 1 loss. You can queue solo, up to 4, in regular warzones. Do that. As for the social aspect for pve, and your 'ready check', this already exists. When a group is formed, every member must accept the queue, therefore stating that they are there. If the shuttle bugged for you, then it was just that, a bug. However, Bioware has no control over peoples mind's (yet). They cannot stop another player dying, or doing stupid things. This is why guilds are popular, to complete harder content with people you can rely on, as well as the social aspect of course.
  10. You said one of your top dps is now at 1300, this is your problem a rakata'd out sent should be able to hit about 1500 on a training dummy, give or take some depending on exact build. obviously a training dummy is a different scenario from a boss, but there isn't too much difference in first boss ec. Ensure tank swaps are quick and precise, and during the red circles rock phase, make sure you keep dps up and do not run around like headless chickens
  11. Sorcs have 100% damage reduction against sents. This skill is so op. It's called kiting. Use it. "But sentinels can jump to me QQ" Remember that sprint ability you have? Remember that knockback ability you have? They are not just there for the cool effect and pretty animation. Save them for when you need to kite a melee dps. You also have a bubble every 30 seconds, stop complaining you don't have any defensive cooldowns. The ability to damage from range has a huge advantage over being melee. Hence why melee classes need their defensive cooldowns. 3 out of 4 of the sentinels defensive cooldowns are 6 seconds or less. Learn to cc when they use them, or failing that, just slow em and sprint away, all dandy like.

    OP Operatives

Not 10 seconds. Not 8-9 seconds. At the very most, 5.5second stun from opening. 5.5 seconds/1.5 seconds = 3.66. This means the player can use 3 skills in the time he has you stunned (not including his opening stun, damage move). If we assume, as you suggest, you are perma stunned for the entire duration, he uses his second stun to take up his first globalcooldown, so the additional skill gained from initial opener balances out here. Therefore, 3 skills. For the quickest/highest burst I presume he's using >Opener (fairly high damage + bleed) >Back blast >Whack-a-moley with his pistol Note this is not the ideal rotation, just what I thought would be his 3 best moves to get the most damage combined. It has been a long time since I played my scoundrel and have forgotten the skill names! So we have 3 melee attacks and a bleed. I'm going to throw out and say the bleeds doing no more than 1.5k damage 5.5 seconds (probably an overstatement) 12.5k damage in 3 skills. 12.5k / 3 = 4.166k damage per hit. As damage will not be spead evenly across the board, lets assume for a 5k opener, 4k backblast, and 3.5k whack-a-moley pistol smash. If you crit all 3, this might be possible on a green geared sage. Not a fully geared Tank. Q.E.D. You are lying, or doing something incredibly wrong. Before you go accusing the entire forums of being 'arrogant kids', look in a mirror. Also, as a final nail in a coffin, BW removes all adrenals in WZ's. If any class relied on these more than anything, it was scoundrel dps.
  13. Yes, I would definitely go for watchman in any pve scenario, and also in pvp on my server. But I can see how combat or focus might have the upper hand in very high up, skilled, competitive pvp, where it would be more important to have front ended high burst, in coordination, for short periods of time. As the way watchman is built, it takes a while to build up to your highest dps, whereas it looks like you can jump right into it with combat and focus. Regardless, I'll stay with watchman until I see a combat or focus sent working well. Then I may reconsider my position.
