  1. If there's anything more than fluff (gearskins, pets, mounts, etc.) in the cash shop, I'll probably end up bailing. I'm cool with peeps paying for fluff, but I don't believe in Pay2Win Games.
  2. Nope. No PvE content would be share-able. No cross-faction guild bank. No cross-faction guild ships. Literally the only thing I was look for was a guild specific, cross-faction chat. If you want to run content with a friend that's playing on another faction at that moment, then you have to jump on a character on that faction. If you don't have one, well then tough meatballs. And it would have a point. You would be able to talk to your friends cross-faction. I know that I'm much more likely to play on the opposite faction if I know that I can socialize with my friends at the same time. I liked the idea stated earlier of a parent guild. Meaning the guild would have one main faction, and if you already have a character in that guild of that faction, only then could you have a character of the opposite faction in that guild. And I think I'm more supporting a cross-faction guild as opposed to a universal chat is because a cross-faction guild creates a sense of community. Whereas a universal chat just ends in chaos and no faction lines whatsoever. I like the factions. I like that we can't just talk to eachother willy-nilly. It creates a sense of separateness. But I do think a guild chat would be both acceptable and helpful.
  3. Exactly what I was trying to express. You just said it much better.
  4. *Sigh* I hate it when things get moved to the suggestion box. Nothing even gets talked about here.
  5. 1/ do u need to transfer the character that unlocked legacy. No. It can be any character on your server, and it will still have the legacy level and perks that you had from before you transferred. 2/ i know u have to take stuff out of mail box before u transfer, But what about inventory & bank Your inventory and your bank transfer over with you. 3/ can you transfer a character from RP-pvp to just a pvp server It depends on what PVP-RP server you're on. If you're on Ajunta Pal, you have a choice between a PvP, and PvE, or a PvPRP Sever. 4/ any recommendations on which server to go to, was thinking the bastion or around something with heavy+ population You don't really have a choice where you're going. There's a list of ther servers you can transfer to here: Link 5/ does the characters have to be over a certain level to transfer Any level
  6. You're right. It's usually three at 14: Chest, legs, and weapon(s).
  7. I agree with you on that one. But I don't think it's any worse, story-wise, than trading between factions (the GTN) and sending items to cross faction alts. BW already seems to have broken the cross-faction barrier, so why not take it just one step further?
  8. 1) You don't have to have characters on both factions. You can simply chose not to. That's you're prerogative. If they chose to come out with cross-faction guilds, it would also be your prerogative not to join one. 2.) See #1. 3.) Game economy will take precedence over RP principles every time. My server has had a thriving GTN ever since it switched over. At least they gave a semi-viable story-driven reason. Damn those Hutts. 4.) I agree with you on that one. 5.) I like to keep my internet friends at a text-based distance. It makes me uncomfortable to physically be talking to someone over the internet. I find it creepy. But apparently I should have an undying hatred for anyone who plays Republic scum anyways, so why would I want to talk to them....
  9. It might be story-driven, but that doesn't mean that everyone that plays is an RPer. And sometimes you just want to talk to your friends. If you go along with this reasoning, than there would be no way to play more than one faction on the same server, because you yourself hates the other side so much that you simply refuse to play them. And there are plenty of instances along the storylines of of Imp characters that I help out the republic. My bounty hunter isn't fighting a war against the Republic. She's just getting paid. My Agent spends more time arguing with Sith than fighting the Republic. My Sorcere hates the republic, but that doesn't mean that I do. So, I don't think it's as black and white as you're explaining it. But that's just my personal opinion.
  10. You could also work around this by disabling the chat while in a WZ.
  11. Why would it be bad? It would be absolutely nothing other than adding the ability to chat with your guild regardless of the faction. I understand how it would affect RP guilds, but they can always choose not to be cross-faction. You might even be able to expand on your RP experience, like trying to turn and recruit Sith for the Jedi. Give me a solid reason why it would be bad. I'm not trying to be argumentative, I'd just like to have a reason why you don't like the idea.
  12. Because she's one of the only characters that you interact with frequently throughout an entire planet that is not a quest giver.
  13. Ah... I did love Thana and that whole storyline. She was the only thing that made Taris interesting to me. I would happily have taken her as a companion. I wish at least she had a reoccurring story on other planets. I miss her.
  14. I doubt this will ever be implemented, but in a game that so heavily rewards (and almost enforces) playing alts, I'm surprised there isn't some kind of cross faction guild system, or some way to link cross-faction guilds. All it would require is a simple cross-faction guild chat. That would be the only perk needed. It wouldn't change the way people group, the way they run together, or even guild banks (I think a separate one for each side would be fine). All it would change is the chat system. I say this because I am an alt-leveler. I get bored easily with the repetitiveness of endgame. I started out Rep, but I found that I like Imperial story lines far more. And I think many people would be more willing to level cross faction alts if they could socialize with their guild while they do it. Is there a downside to this that I'm missing?
  15. I don't understand this argument. This gear is obviously not useless. It just doesn't last forever. When you get it, it has full purple stats for that level, and the level 14 one should last you till about 20, which isn't bad at all, seeing as you pretty much got it for free. And having a piece of gear that leveled up with you (that you get after finishing Ch. 1) wouldn't make sense, because then you could just use it on the character you received it on, and there would be nothing "Legacy" about it. The game is already full of moddable gear, why do you need yet another piece of it? Chances are, by the time you're 14, most of your gear is already orange. Plus, they have legacy moddable gear, you just have to pay for it. Also, there's a pretty large thread on this already here: Inheritance Construction Kits items level up with character? Here's a quote from that thread that I like:
  16. I think that a lot of people don't realize this, and it really annoys me because it means they are not paying attention to the health of the mobs. They pop the barrel, because it's some contest for some reason, and they do it too soon. *Resist* *Resist* *Resist* as they fall over. It aggravates me to no end.
  17. Undergeared is acceptable (for the most part). Not knowing the fights is not, simply because there is so much information on the internet that is easily accessible. Before you queue up for a FP, alt-tab over to a browser and look up the boss fights. It's simple and fast and much easier than asking the people in your group to type out instructions to you in the middle of a group. That being said, I also think it is unacceptable for people in groups to get mad if you don't know the fight and you ask for help. The only time you should ever get angry at someone for not knowing a fight is if they are silent about it and get you killed.
  18. Can't we ever just have a creative discussion without it turning into an argument about credit sinks? The reason people are putting the prices so high is because they're being realistic and scaling them with the current legacy prices. It doesn't mean every single person who posts in this thread is supporting outrageous credit sinks.
  19. It's because it's a game. Not a movie or a book, and therefore it needs to have a balance of both melee and ranged mobs. There was bound to be some changes between the movies and an MMO. However, I do understand what you're saying about companions. Torian having a vibrosword doesn't make much sense. But once again, it's a game that needs balance, and every class gets both a ranged and a melee tank. Blizz being a melee tank would make even less sense than Torian.
  20. Well, think about it gameplay wise. Unless there is a giant surplus of Jedi somewhere, you would pretty much always be fighting ranged mobs. And that would be both annoying and boring. I'd say as an Imperial, maybe MAYBE 10% of the mobs I fight are Jedi. So... without the non-force using melee-ers, it would get really boring and repetitive.
  21. Here's DS corrution on a Rattaaki: Picture And here it is on a sith; Picture See? All depends on your race.
  22. There are tons of clipping issues with Body type 4 for females. It's either a) Your robe is giant on your butt, or b) your robe is tight on your butt, but it's clipping constantly as you walk. BW just needs to address all the rear-end issues in this game.
