  1. Umm the statement is these things are offered for a limited time and will be available again at a later date for a limited time..... I gather almost NO ONE on Oceanic Servers will have them this time around, and that should be expected because of the short time.

  4. From what I gather the people complaining about lore really do not know anything outside the 6 movies, and I would hazard that as an exaggeration.... as for the people complaining about the legacy ability I find them to be just as uninformed about what they are complaining...
  5. Not only is it ONE ability not of your choosing and on a 20 minute cooldown, but it is only usable when you have a companion out (Heroic Moment must be active), Not so epic or killing machine when you bother to research rather than QQ at a video...
  6. Sorry, My fault I should have said games worth playing.... As for the encouragement, sorry but I feel you are wrong, up to the 1.2 announcement I was not encouraged to fill a server, the amount of characters I have has to do with a desire to explore the classes. Coincidental I suppose that it leaves me with spaces to use if I want to create a character with legacy rewards. The amount of rerun material is up to the player, there is abundant quest possibilities so it is feasible to only have the class missions and companion conversation parts to replay. Twice is not over and over again... I do not necessarily disagree with making character race unlocks account spanning, but placing them outside your legacy will not grant them the bonuses of your legacy on another server...
  7. I think this guy did zero investigation as to what a MMO is prior to this... I do not feel his pain, I have been playing MMO's for the last 15 years and what he wants is not done due to catastrophic effects it generates. I have told him numerous times and he just does not want to listen, he would prefer to complain about not getting rewards without going through the effort. He is going to answer you like this~ "But my characters are in those servers because of guilding, if I transfer them to build legacy and get rewards I will lose them in the server they are on, I am still punished." Long story short, he does not play the game, he works at it, by his own admission and therefore he has no impetus to play for enjoyment, he plays like it is work. I personally have an issue with the amount of enjoyment I get from this game, I do so much side quests that I end up overshooting my class quests. Of course the side effect is my affection is ridiculously high with all my companions. I am almost maxed out with all of them, but it is a bummer to wade through Act I end crawl with no risk of death...

Actually prior to 1.1.5 there was a restriction on crafted crystals, I have an artifice and this was one of my biggest pet peeves, B/G crystal crafting was pointless to me other than to grind up Artifice. Maybe this guy should play through the SW story, Allegiance is fluid, but history remains, why not be able to use it in RP?
  9. And to this: The legacy system has been, in its useless form, per server. Again if you look into any MMO cross server is not done, and I have listed many reasons why, every server (especially with a healthy economy which BW is trying to get going) has to be separate, the resources could pool into one and destroy the economy in others.... Sort of like flying over a country and dropping counterfeit bills, it makes for economic collapse. By your logic anyone who did not plan for the features of new races and made 20 dudes is punished because they do not get more character slots for new race characters... It is new to the game, to think that this does not potentially change gameplay is just silly, so of course gameplay will alter with the NEW feature. As far as redoing work you already done: If you view playing a game as work you may benefit from a hobby.
  10. No one is forcing you to do anything, the choice you want has a requirement, in short, live with it... This is not an invention of this MMO, all MMO's are like this, benefits are server limited, for the above mentioned reasons. These guilds are not being punished, being punished would be telling them they can only have one Legacy per account, since that is not the case, I do not see the "punishment". Telling them on every server they have characters on they can make another legacy so long as they go through their storyline is not punishment, last time I checked it was called playing the game. Do you have some issue with playing the game? If you are just here for PVP you are not going to have legacy anyway... When I choose to pay for something it is because I enjoy it, obviously you are indicating you will not enjoy completing storyline for your characters, at least one per server. Or is it that you have one character on each of many and therefore stand no benefit from a system such as this... If so, maybe you should have researched how MMO's work before thinking that servers interact in any way.
  11. Umm, too bad? The fact is your separate server characters are in a parallel dimension, this is the way it always was and always will be. This is why I pick a server and stick to it... Hell before asking for legacy rewards cross server shouldn't you ask for mailing ability? Your characters cannot communicate at all, maybe we should consider this as well.... The point I am making is cross server is unavailable because it is exploitable and damages game mechanics... Always has, always will.
  12. The exploit there is the legacy features could feasibly be earned on an easy-mode pve server and then used on a more competitive pvp server. I had to wade through players in order to get my legacy, I think it is particularly unfair to players to allow legacy unlocks cross server in this situation.
  13. You do realize Presence effects your companion's combat effectiveness, right?
  14. Remy, you realize the heroic moment exists now it the game... This is an ability only usable for the MINUTE the HM is active. Must have a companion present, only available for a minute on every 21, currently it yields a slight boost to some stats and heals for a % of your maximum health every second. You get it at like level 15 or 16.... The legacy ability just makes it better. I might actually whip out the HM once every 21 minutes just to see the ability.

  16. I think the reason they are going BOE instead of BOP is to make it possible for people to get them after they are gone from vendors. When people do not want them so much the gtn price will drop off considerably because people are looking to get rid of them, and demand will not warrant the ridiculous pricing. Right now they are trying to get the people who powered to 50 and used the slicing exploit to part with credits, hopefully this will translate into them giving the gtn a little more tlc, make crafting worthwhile and bring a vibrant economy to the game.

  18. The Mechanic as it stands does not disallow a Sith from using Blues and Greens, it is his alignment in regard to Dark and Light Side. Grievous was quite the vicious and cruel bastard, hard to believe he could qualify for Light I in SWTOR.... As it stands my DSI Bounty Hunter cannot use these in his pistols... He is not sith, just an ******e, and that of course translates to DS.... So, complaint is still lacking any sense, there is no mystical portion of the crystal that does not work for certain people based on accident of birth or life choices....
  19. SWG Failed because of the combat upgrade and the sheer kick in the face for everyone who worked for force sensitivity... Crystals can as it stands be used for either side, it is the alignment not the faction which determines the crystal bonding, and with all the I want to be the light side sith or the dark side jedi roaming around, there is plenty of the other faction getting to use these crystals anyhow. If this is such an issue make it so the faction determines the crystals and make opposing faction crystal mats are not available... I would rather have red/orange all the time yellow proto drops in stead of getting a random assortment which 2:1 gives me useless color bases. I grind with blues and greens and still they manage to be more plentiful (individually) in my cargo than red (mainly because I seek Prototype and Artifact schematics for my characters). What cheeses me is the new crystal color implementation, it kills player based economy, it would be far better to get the schematics to the players first and offer special renditions via vendors for a limited time. This way the players through the GTN will determine a market value of these crystals and other players will see the vendors as a credits sink that it truly is. As for the speeders... They are a nuisance status symbol, especially since I do not see people mackin' them down on the streets of Alderaan, rather in the fleet, blocking out the vendors, mailboxes, trainers, and elevator doors. If they rode them ANYWHERE but in fleet I might be sympathetic to the tool sheds who will be complaining about this, but as it stands, it is a good move which improves the game experience.
  20. If you are going to complain about cinematic lore... Explain General Grievous.... He did not seem to have an issue using trophy sabers... I would like to see more QQing about the lack of a combat log and less about their ******** immersion because their primary trilogy lore suggests (not mentions) a restriction.
  21. The problem them becomes getting the crystals in the first place.... I am sorry but if you know how R/E works you know that MILLIONS is not the number you want to hear in relation to a dice roll to learn a schematic.... When R/E was used in Galaxies at least I could pick up the R/E items off mobs, easily (space for Firespray schem.) This however is a slap in the face.
  22. Now I know some of this was covered but it is 27 pages of comments and I feel uninspired to read through it all... Restrictions off saber crystals ~ So there will be a reason my Sith Warrior Artifice gets 3 to 1 blue and green to red crystals. I would never use them on my Sith, but crystals go in guns as well. New Colors ~ If this was about enhancing the player economy, I would think the schematics would come before offering them on vendors, if you offer them on vendors first the only chance we have to sell these same colored crystals is if RI becomes more predictable so we can achieve better than vendor sold items at an expected rate. I understand there is a roll involved, but for example at 250 Artifice I RI'ed 15+ Resolve hilt 6 (lvl 17 item) as compared to my first LVL 31 Red Resistance Crystal to get the blue. Granted I still do not have the Artifact level Crystal and got the Artifact level hilt after 10 tries. Licensing ~ I am happy to hear the price reduction, for new players and for alts which I created to play at level with my wife. OTOH I am a bit peeved to see that I had paid more, gone into financial distress to get the lvl I license when others will not have to, I would like to see a "Tax Return" on people who spent more for their license, or at least a special item as compensation for paying the higher prices. Also the removal of speeders from vendors is cool if you are going to make speeder schematics a little more available and not bind on pick up. Though I think you did say (in RP tones) you are dropping BOP for Speeders. I have mixed feelings about these changes, what a surprise EH?
  23. My Mistake Insendial... Cyber makes the Mods. But mods do not go, as stated to secondary stats, earpieces (CT) and implants (BT) will do that for you.
