  1. LOVED[/b] the planet, but there were several places where the number of mobs within a group become the challenge, rather than just your gear. I suspect people in lesser gear will have to be creative with CC and kiting.. :)

If this is true then I cannot wait for it to drop. It sounds like City of heroes with so many mobs around that I cannot just run through like in SWTOR to finish a mission. Finding a good group with all my 50's in this game might be hard, this is hands down my least favorite mmo community. Way too many complainers and not enough people who like to shut up and play I feel. April 9, here I come.

  2. Eh, I guess the op players need something to do. I am on my way to anding my sub after I finished Makeb. QOL updates are really needed. I am less interested in the first 6 months of SWTOR in 2013 and very concerend with the last 6 months.

If they just add pvp warzones, ops and cartel items; they will lose me. Flesh out the rest of the game please.

  3. Agent. Starts off well but the chapter 3 is where the excitement starts to die off. Great ending and needs to be continued to see where your agent fits in with the overall story.

Inquisitor. Typical Sith drama, but that is what to be expected. Great rise to power story though.

Warrior. The best revenge story in the game if you ask me. Chapter 3 is where everything changes for the better.

Hunter. I found this very boring because I could care less about bounty hunting in Star Wars. Gets points for great companions thatadd to the story(except Skadge). Only missions that stood out to me was the Taris storyline and the Corellia one.

Smuggler. Great companions that add to the story. Mostly fun story but chapter 3 falls kind of flat. They just needed a way to include the smuggler into the overall story. I did not buy it.

Knight. Remove Rusk and Doc and give me some Jedi companions please. Chapter 1 is ok, you can see how it is going to end except for the Kira part of it. Chapter 2 and 3 are amazing, and fit well with the overall story arc.

Consular. Chapter 1 is uninspiring, most people agree. Chapter 2 is great because you begin your job as a diplomat, I like it. Chaper 3 begins well and ends well to. One of my favorite chapter 3 storylines.

Trooper. Great companions that add to the overall story. You spend majority of your time fixing Havoc Squad. Chapter 3 is a stand out and has the best final mission in my opinion in the game. You really feel like you are part of the Republic military. Victory or death.

The best one? All of them combined because only then do you see the entire Swtor storyline.

  4. Has to go. let me start by saying am a founder/returnee.

I can agree that a dc'd toon needs be gone but as a returnee that remembers little after 6 or 7 months, being vote-kicked for taking a wrong turn or falling behind, idk, I think isnt what was intended

Sure speed is a factor but is an mmo so if cant spend time to go and get laggers or other new ppl, then I have a book for you, is called "Time Management and Why Yer Mom Didnt Like You That much" ok is a working title.

Fact is, ppl drop out and ppl drop back in and not all remember each step or path.

To be Honest, I'd carry anybody that was new to tier or just game, because I know I might be gone for next month or three.

This game aint dying and doomsayers from launch seem to be same doomsayers at present, if not on Bioware payroll, should ****.

Point of this rand is that certain things in game are devisive while others tend to unite.

Expertise outside of warzones is devisive, vote-kicks for trying to remember are devisive.

expertise for any reason is just, idk, fail. Can do better by granting woowoo armor for number of kills, idk, dont pvp and dont much care.

But since is 1st post, Id like to congratulate Bioware on a job well done.

yeah, there are some bugs but guessing many people be pissed if fixed now that have learned to compensate, lol.

Anyway, my wandering rant is done, ty.

It is the people you play with. I normally quit games with people that think I am supposed to play at their speed. Screw that scenario I say. I personally do not vote kick anyone but the person that talks to much. I do not want to logi nto SWTOR and hear someone complaining about someone else style. Aint nobody got time for that.

  5. Well, if I were to go to a party, where the previous party was announced as something "to die for", and then it was a fancy red and white crhistmas hat for everyone attending... I would not expect much from that party.

    Pessimists are optimists with experience.

Expecting the worst or nothing, I can only be positively surprised.

Pessimists are optimists with experience is my new favorite quote. When people call me a pessimist, I simply reply that I am a realist normally.

  6. I do have legacy 50 but I would like other innovative options to fill out the legacy system. I like the idea that this is an event and should happen sporadically or once a month. I logged in last night and almost all of the servers were full except maybe a couple. This game was dying a year ago and now the servers are full. This is why IMO, that double XP should stay as an event for everyone.

We could use other features or new ideas for legacy 50. With the current legacy system there is enough incentives to level up alts. We could use rewards now and going further for people who play a lot. Exclusive items or versions of items would be nice.

  7. Big deal, I have left twice before; join the club.

    By the way brother

"- SWTOR now caters to the Snotty factor/Guild hyper junkie players, ie. grinding, raids, flashpoints, comms, etc. I tried all of those, but boy howdy how UNHEROIC it feels to be one of 12 lightsabers smashing against a Boss and listening to healers panic over Vent, Mumble, TS."

^ that is the reason why I left before and why I wil leave again when i get tired of the story again.

  8. Both actually. Smuggler/Imperial Agent are at the top of my list for all around favorite. Trooper/Bounty Hunter feels too simple for me, all of their advanced classes. The Jedi/Sith classes each have a advanced class or specs I do not like.

Story, advanced classes, companions, my favorite in the game. pew pew pew.

  9. People will complain about anything in this game if you haven't noticed by now. I personally don't give a damn if people use that trick, it doesn't really affect me.

    Pretty much.

I also thought the ban at launch was for people gathering from nodes in Ilum and selling them in the GTN. Honestly, if you can beat a mob stronger than you then you deserve respect. I would not have someone carry me but get a bunch of low levels to beat some higher level mobs, now that is a fun challlenge.

  10. I like the planet story quests because it adds to the overall SWTOR story. The main quests is your personal story and the planet quests shows you how the wars are effecting the other worlds. Now side missions I can do without even though I like some of them. With the exp boosts it is easier to skip a lot of them and even skip some bonus series altogether. I vote for more exp weekends so I can focus on the best parts of the game that I like.
  11. I don't even use the power level technique but this post is just pure bullocks.

The whole "people need to sweat, bleed and stumble" their way to 50 is just a talking point people use to feel special. It's just like when people complain about how hard they had it but no one else has to hard. The more 50s the game has the better we all are.

The leveling process does very little to force ANYONE to understand their class. Need I remind you the leveling process does NOT force you to group. It does NOT force you into flashpoints and it does NOT force anyone to play their class "properly".

The whole, "I want to feel special because I'm 50" attitude needs to end.

If someone choose to miss out on the story then that is there pregataive. Honestly I did this in COH when there added architect to the game. Skipping to 50 gives you less to do.

  12. Almost everytime if I connect to flashpoint, someone write ... "ohh Sage with 16k HP?? kick him!!" or "hey mate u have done this FP before?? no?" sorry u must go... and kick.

I have mix columi, rakata gear.

This game have most unfriendly community.

You talk to people in flashpoints? I gave up on the community last year. Shut up and play. I never answer that annoying question. I do not ask it either, if we die then I give a tip.

  13. Over here, it's a state versus federal level thing. At the federal level, we really only tax income. The states handle the rest at their own discretion. That's what leads to all of this weirdness on the Internet. Is the transaction happening at the vendor's HQ, the location of the server farm, or the chair that the customer is sitting in? The states had generally just put a spot on the tax filing paperwork to voluntarily submit the amount of money you spent "outside the state" on items you brought into the state for use. This is called a use tax, and only happens in lieu of state sales tax.

The caveat for Internet purchases is that any company with any "brick and mortar" location within the state was required to collect sales tax on Internet purchases as well. This means that chain stores like Best Buy and Walmart already had to collect sales tax while online retailers like newegg.com and Amazon did not. Now, states are starting to crack down on these types of things even more, in an effort to protect local retailers' ability to compete with out-of-state online retailers.

The other side of this is that EA has a few EA Sports Stores located in some airports and other places. That is probably enough to tie BioWare/EA into the "brick and mortar" tax collection requirement for those states.

Some states, like Florida, don't have individual income tax. They collect everything via sales tax. This means Florida gets hurt much more severely when people are able to avoid paying sales tax.

God Job, now I do not have to get on and explain it. I remember using Amazon all the time for years and never paying state taxes on products. Then while in the military in 2010-11, I hear about New York complaining about Amzaon then...sigh. Taxes and death can never be avoided they say, taxes and death.
