This is why I try and get a day of the week in-guild devoted to helping lowbies. Yeah, everyday should be about supporting fellow guild members, but I find it's nice to set aside a day where it's encouraged to offer to run your alts with new low-level members or, if all else fails, do run-throughs and help them with harder quests. I find it really helps foster some community among new members and "war-bonded vets". Of course, I'm still a lowbie in swtor, myself, so I haven't suggested this yet with my guild (don't want to seem I'm being self-serving or suggesting it for the wrong reasons), but when I get to 50 it'll be my pet project.

Great idea for a sandbox MMO, but not for SWTOR. People don't want to be bothered. I think making all items wear down over extended use, but be repairable by crafters could work, but the effort on the devs side at this point in the game would almost certainly not be worth it.

Suspension of disbelief, or at least a selective dose of it, is your best friend if you want to get into a role when playing a game like this.

Meh, some people don't need to gender-identify so readily. Honestly, I'm okay with being a dude, I just don't pin it on my sleeve like the world owes me something for it.

I sometimes play females, no big deal really. I'm just as normal as every other dude, I tell ya. I put my panties on one leg at a time just like everyone else. Honestly though, it's pixels and gender, two things that people like to make way too much a big deal over.

Maybe he's one of the people running around in WZs wearing nothing but their boots and belts.

Damn...now I wish I'd a had new computer to play Rift at release. Still, I'm going to stick with SWTOR for a while (ride out my initial prepaid subscription), as long as I'm having fun (which might be right up till I start trying to actually queue for WZs).

Yeah, I haven't saughtered any sand people children (sand children?), yet...so I'm good.

^Just in case OP missed this point. Check the lower tabs for your class and advanced class when you go to your trainer. And as others have said, make sure you're gearing up both yourself and your companion.
