  1. Please introduce vote kicking. Every decent multiplayer game has that function and for good reason. Some people are just not worth having in your WZ, and if the majority of the team agrees he should be kicked, then please allow us to do so.
  2. Ok, so PVE has plenty of gear checks. Everyone knows that you can't run a HM ops with green gear ( while in fact you can but let's keep things simple ) so people who do PVE HM ops will join with reasonable gear ie : At least Tionese gear, sometimes Columi etc. Now... in PVP, level 50's are wearing level 33 greens. They are severely undergeared, and won't stand a chance in PVP. Today, I saw a level 50 assassin with 10.5K hp in our level 50 warzone. He didn't even have relics, all his gear were green level 30-40 items, except 1 blue level 41 item. He lasted about 2 seconds against our BM opponents. Why , oh why Bioware, is there not a gear check for PVP, just like PVE ? Somehow, people think it's acceptable to join PVP warzones without any level 50 pieces. Even if they joined with Tionese / Columi gear, at least they wouldn't die instantly and do 500 damage per hit. So what I propose is there should be a PVP test. It could be as simple as ( If player.hp < 14000 then print.msg "Access denied ! Get better gear !" ) or a little more complex as in checking their stats to an averagely geared centurion / champ. If they don't have the stats, they can't enter PVP, OR , even better, let them enter their own bracket. I know this sounds so incredibly logical, but why hasn't this been implemented during beta already, let alone the question of why hasn't it been implemented on live yet.
  3. hm.. it mention the CHAMP bags are still there, it doesn't mention the BM bags. So I thought they were removed. Good job bioware for not removing BM bags.
  4. SIMPLY AMAZINGLY GOOD ! It solves the medal problem completely. I'm a tank I get 10 medals, but this is great for healers who are very much needed and will get the same amount of valor. Also, no more Ilum ! YEYE finally. I would have loved seeing BM bags still though, as well as being able to buy the WZ commendations BM coins. Good job Bioware ! Now get 8man premades, and put premades in their own bracket, and we're talking

    Hutt-Ball Camping

hm.. was this on Ajunta Pall ? Coz we regularily do that, we farm medals for a few minutes. It's nothing personal, it just gets us a bit of valor. There's no point in playing a 3 minute huttball and get 2 medals when you can get 10 medals after a few minutes of farming them.
  6. hm.. that's quite normal. Here's one of mine today : http://i42.tinypic.com/2rfr62t.jpg oh btw, I'm level 31, and I don't use cheats or frozen water or any of that crap, this is purely normal play. I rarely have less than 10 medals.
  7. As operative, you have 2 options : 1) heal 2) dps sure, you can do a bit of both, but let's focus on those 2 to keep on topic 1) healing So at level 50, this is what happens : Kolto probe on ball carrier : heals for 500 a tick, crits for 700. ( remember, 30% less heals in pvp !) Woot.. great. That's a real big difference 700 every 3 seconds or whatever it is. I'll tell you what : I don't even use Kolto probe anymore, it's completely useless , both in pvp and pve. It does a ridiculously low amount of heals. so ok, assume you get 10K heals from kolto probe, IF that. Then you can use kolto infusion. a 2 second cast.. omg. Let's cast heal on the ball carrier : Interrupt. ****.. ok, another heal after 5 seconds ( lag / reaction time ). overloaded / pulled / stunned. Omg... this is very annoying. Let's try again. Friggin hell ! *INTERRUPT*. omg... try again !!! *stun* I give up. I'm not even going to mention the heal that costs a TA to actviate, it's ridiculous So healing is completely useless at level 50 for a operative. 2) dps Wow, I can almost take down one guy. It does take ALL my cooldowns, ALL my power. and now I'm trying to regen power with 2 regen per tick. OMG... I will jump off the bridge so I get a full bar again, it's faster. FIX OPERATIVE. I have rerolled Assassin, because I can't stand operative. Oh ye, and we don't have a pull / push / overload etc for huttball. Has operative been tested in pvp at all?
  8. Ok this sucks. I complete 150 kills on ilum ( that's right, 150 in a day ) to complete my weekly. I BARELY finish it , with 10 minutes left. I relog because of the Ilum crash, and there's still 5 minutes, but ... behold "Server Unavailable". *** !!!
  9. I quit WZ's as soon as I see more than 1 level 10-20 in the WZ. They are so completely useless that I'd just get frustrated with them. I'd rather leave early and make room for another useless lowbie so they can lose and learn together, rather than waste my time.
  10. We get 3 medals tops for doing 400K+ heals. When you get above level 30, every goddamn melee and his dog will interrupt every single one of your heal with their 3 interrupt abilities on 10s cooldown each. I've rerolled assassin tank and getting 9 medals at level 20 *** seriously ? Why would anyone still heal in pvp ? Make healers immune to interrupts after 1 interrupt for 15 seconds. Give healers 6 medals purely based on heals : 2k heal medal 3k heal medal 50k heals medal 100k heals medal 200k heals medal 300k heals medal Then at least some people will still have SOME incentive to heal in pvp.
  11. still, what's the deal with error messages blocking important boss events ?.. they should never place those error message in the middle of the screen. Put them in a chat box that I can hide, or something. When I want to see the errors, I'll scroll back.
  12. well, since operative is getting nerfed with a 30% dps nerf ( that means you will do less DPS than any other class, because at launch they were thoroughly tested in PVE/PVP and did the same amount of damage initially ), the operative is now the worst DPS class out there. Choose assassin. ps : then ofcourse, since OP got nerfed, ALL other classes will have to be nerfed by 30% dps also... , until the circle is round ).
  13. /signed. Being a healer myself I get 4-5 medals tops. That is when I do some DPS in between ! The tank gets medals like nothing, 8-9 medals easy. Strip 2 medals from guard, give them to healers. That would even out the field. I'm going DPS until healing gets fixed.
  14. Yep, way too easy. AOE'ing through instances at 3 levels lower than "standard" and /sleep through it. I have yet to see an instance that was challenging. Yes, I miss the pulling, corner pulls, CC'ing and mezzing. The problem is , when I advertise in /lfg ( oh wait, we don't have an LFG channel, I need to wait in fleet and get bored to death instead of questing while waiting for someone to hopefully reply ) something like : LFM Athiss level 17 max. When I advertise that, people immediately PST me, they say "Athiss is level 21 man, you're too low". I tell them they're noobs and should learn to play instead. Then, when I eventually find some lewtwhores who want to run Athiss at 17 ( or Hammer at 13 , or Mandalorians at 21, etc ) then when the tank who obviously is a noob too, pulls 3 groups in one go coz he never figured out the patrol mob linked 2 groups in the back, we wipe and immediately 2 people leave "I don't have time for this..." People are impatient, they don't want the challenge, just free loot. I miss the challenge, I couldn't care a rats a.. about loot.
  15. /signed If any class needs nerfing, it's Sorc and Juggernauts. By nerfing OP the way they did, they lose 30% damage in PVE. Good deal bioware, wow, you really thought this one through didn't you ?
  16. Hi, I click a lot, it's what I do. I click 5 times when I only really have to click once, I learned that from WoW where every millisecond counts, I spam buttons alot. I'm sure others do too. The problem is , when I spam a skill, the first ( or second ) click will generally activate the skill, and the remaining clicks will generate errors in my screen. The problem is that these errors appear in the MIDDLE of my screen ! I can't see the boss's casting bars or even health bars for all the spam that is in my screen. So my suggestions : Please, allow us to disable any error messages that use the flytext, perhaps add the option in the preferences menu "Disable all error messages". Rift has this option, WoW has this option, I love this option. Especially since the errors pop up in my flytext , in the middle of combat, on top of a boss whose castbar is then hidden.
  17. Hi Bioware and fellow readers. I have done only a little PVP, I'm Valor rank 24 atm, and my character level is 26, so I'm pretty much smack bang in the middle, which I believe gives me a reasonable view on the unbalanced state of PVP as it has been implemented now. Let me first explain my experiences as a PVP player, which might help understand why I am proposing some changes to the current PVP system. First, a note : I am not suggesting any class be nerfed, in any way. Although I do feel that some classes are better in some PVP arena's, I accept the fact that they just have a different "role" to play, and my character plays his own role. This is all fine, I do not like nerfs, I think there should only be buffs to correct underpowered classes, not nerfs to correct overpowered classes. My experience as a PVP player before 1.1 : I had the chance to play with level 50 full expertise players, both in my team and in the other team. As a level 10, trying to take down a level 50 in full pvp gear is like trying to run an operation Boss : It's impossible. When I crit a level 50 in his back, he loses about 2% of his health, tops. Most of the 50's I hit chuckle and don't even turn around to hit me, they see me as a bug, a mosquito. If I am in their way they might take the time to shoot an AOE or something to obliterate me. Other 50's will do nothing else than to try and prey on the weak level 10's. They usually only need 2-3 seconds to kill me, all I can do in that case is /sit and wait till the ordeal is over. In huttball : A 50 tank will get the huttball, and carry it to the line, without ever taking damage. 3-4 low levels will try and hit him, he will /laugh and just keep walking. In the other arena's : All it takes is one level 50 to guard a door/turret. He can singlehandedly take down 8 level 10's by himself. Conclusion : pre-patch 1.1 PVP was very very unbalanced. My experience as a PVP player after 1.1 : When I hit players, I see their hp bar go down ! Oh what a relief. I hit them for 10%, sometimes 15% of their hp bar per hit. It's great ! I respecced to an operative healer, and 1vs1 , I can actually heal for a decent amount before I get killed. It's a lot more fun. In huttball : The matches are fun again. We have fun ! We actually need to throw the ball, run away etc... no more /sit while we get slaughtered. In the other arena's : Well... a level 49 is still pretty strong. Not invincible though. With 2 lowbies we can take down a level 49. Whereas before, it would have taken 8 lowbies to take down one level 50, and we prolly would have lost that fight. Conclusion : post-patch 1.1 PVP is more balanced, but level 49's still own the field in 1vs1 fights. What's wrong with the PVP system as we know it : Expertise (PVP) gear : It's obvious that expertise gear is ruining the PVP system. Anyone who does not have PVP gear will either /afk the matches to try and get enough PVP points and buy the gear, or he will simply /sit when people attack him. Premade PVP groups fighting against PUG groups: Premade groups will overrun the PUGs every single time, it's like the USA declaring war on Luxemburg : where is the honor in that ? My proposed changes to the PVP system : 1) Keep PVP gear, but reduce the total bonuses to 5% instead of 30%. Yes this could be seen as a nerf, but I'm not asking for a class nerf, just a nerf that is so badly needed. At the moment, expertise grants the following bonuses : +10% attack +10% defense +10% heals I suggest we change it to this : +2% attack +3% heals NO defense bonus It's a very bad idea to boost the defense, it really makes for very very angry PVP players who do not have the gear. Instead, give them a bit of attack power ( not too much to unbalance it completely ! ). Getting 2% more attack, and 3% more heals means a net bonus of 5%, which is more than enough to make PVP gear worthwhile. In fact, even 5% is a huge bonus in PVP. It simply means that 1vs1, the PVP geared player, assuming equal skills, will always win. There's no need to give him 30% bonus. Also I propose that PVP gear can not be worn in operations and flashpoints. This will make PVP gear have a "single purpose" and that is to PVP, which is what it is meant for. I truly believe that these 2 changes will balance the PVP gear problem 2) Premade groups should only be allowed at 50, and should have their own bracket ( call it "Premier League" ). This fixes many balance issues. 3) The Bolster system should increase armor to match level 49's average armor values. 4) The Bolster system should match all stats to match level 49's average stats values. 5) There's the problem with level 49 skills that obliterate enemies who don't have those skills yet. This cannot be solved with the Bolster system, and also I am not suggesting having more brackets, this will just introduce longer queues. I don't have a solution for the 5) problem, perhaps someone else has a solution. Perhaps a PVP-DPS tree... perhaps a "DPS" average bonus, or a defense bonus based on level difference vs 49... perhaps a level 10 should get 49-10*100 armor bonus ? A level 20 would get 49-20*100 armor bonus... Might make level 10 tanks invincible though... so this might need a better solution, I'm hoping people on the forum might solve this one. Thank you if you read all my post, it's appreciated.
  18. Hi, This game is better than WoW, don't let the WoW-paid trolls get you down, it's a wonderful game. There are a few things that could make this game even better. I have put the importance in front with 1/10 meaning low importance and 10/10 high importance : 1/10 - Mailbox inside ship 9/10 - Companions visible in Operations Frames ( not the Party Frames ). 6/10 - Corpse scavenging allowable during combat. Now when tank chainpulls, noone can scavenge 9/10 - Corpse decay longer. Now during combat, some corpses are already gone. And even after combat, during scavenging corpses sometimes already despawn. Please make the despawn timer 60 seconds instead of 10 seconds. 2/10 - Option to enable in preferences to auto-repair at any merchant so you don't have to click anymore. I know this sounds lazy but it will prevent people from having to run out of raid to repair. 10/10 - Server wide LFG channel. Many people including me waste a lot of time standing in Fleet to advertise for a group. If we could just advertise while playing, that would really help. 9/10 - Summon all group members into instance when one of the members enters the flashpoint, like in WoW. This is very much needed, we sometimes wait 30 minutes for someone to come to the instance. Especially all the different loading screens take a lot of time. 7/10 - Don't allow "Need" looting non-class gear to players. For instance, an operative should never get the option to "Need" on cloth gear. A warrior should never get the option to "Need" on anything else than heavy gear. Sure they can greed, but never need. The server-wide LFG channel is the most important one. If that gets implemented I'm a happy chap.
  19. Nope, have 2 oranges already, most blues, and I have quite a bit of MMO experience, I used to raid etc long time ago and I have quite a bit of gaming experience. It's just circumstances that sometimes make you die. For instance, there's the quest where you blow up the drill, 1 mega-boss appears and 2 adds. We did that with me and partner, however, another group activated short after, which meant 2 mega bosses and some adds, their group died first, we got the boss then died. But it was quite a fight !
  20. Thanks BioWare for creating such an awesome game ! I'm only level 14 but I'm already totally immersed in the lore. When I go up to quest givers, they know what I did, and they even know I did it with my partner, it really adds to the lore and the feel. What I like most about this game is the challenge. I have died over 10 times already, and I'm loving it. I played all the usual MMO's, starting from vanilla WoW to LoTRo and RIFT. SWTOR reminds me so much of vanilla WoW it's great. Call me old fashioned, but I like dying while on a hard mission. I don't like being able to steam through content and not get this feeling of "Pfew, that was really close !". My partner and I were on a mission today ( we're only level 12 ) to blow up some drilling machine, it's the first real hard quest in the game if done wrong, and boy did we mess up. Not to spoil too much, after we did the explosive thing, mobs everywhere ! One of the mobs was tough as nails and we had a really hard time managing Mezzes, heals all while sending our tank pets in to cover us. Then a group of 4 came in and reactivated the quest, WOOT double mobs with 2 of the big bastards. Their group wiped in seconds, me and partner kept ourselves alive with pure determination and fear of death. Frantically healing, mezzing and kiting, we managed to get one of the big suckers down, but running low on energy and force, had to retreat. Our retreat wasn't very successful and we died as soon as we lost our companions. What a rush ! We actually fought off and held off an almost impossible group for just us two, it was a truly great feeling to have done something hard again ! So, I wish to thank you Bioware, for creating a challenging, fun game ! I can only hope the game will remain challenging, perhaps become even more challenging, so we can enjoy those types of fights again. Cheers!
